What's funny is that when I fall from floor 10 of a tower all the way to the bottom, I say "whoops,” but when I fall from floor 5 down to 4, I scream bloody murder.
@OmgItsNewPro You'll probably be happy if you get to 8-10 since those are the last floors. And if you fall, you wouldn't be angry just because you got pretty far and you are very close to beat the tower.
Another thing I find useful to avoid is taking risky or stupid jumps just because you feel like it. I do this a lot, like I try to wall hop around the frame (which never works), or take a stupidly hard jump that doesn’t skip anything just to challenge myself. It gets me nowhere and often ends up with me falling and regretting it.
some tips and tricks i use myself (as a mob player) 1. if your on for example the last floor of a sc. dont say 10 ToDC. trust me the nerves will get to you. 2. another way of avoiding nerves is to mute the music. muting music actually helps bc if a phonk song or something like that comes up. your more likely to feel scared. 3. i use this myself alot and its called being patient. most people usually quit within 10 mins of playing a tower instead of playing a dif tower focus on it and go for it. it takes usually 10 hours or so to beat a sc but its so worth it in the end.
1:11 but I have seen people be judged for their time on something like toast, and that saddens me bc it discourages the new player from continuing to play.. I mean sure it is the easiest tower in game, but for them it was probably a journey and they feel accomplished to have completed it (esp maybe after some frustration with it). I think not enough gg's are given out to newer ppl to encourage them and play more instead of them getting put down for their time and "overreacting" about their completion. It sucks when you beat a tower that is hard for you and then not having it even acknowledged or without anyone caring, or someone saying something like "psh, (insert tower) isnt even hard! why are you so excited about beating it/getting far on it??".. Anyway, keep the videos coming! They're clearly worded, explained very well, entertaining to watch, and theres content for players of all skill levels! You're super underrated, you should have a LOT more subs. Definitely a + respect from me. :D
bonus note: NEVER say what floor you are at if you are far in a tower, players will constantly spam "gl" and it will make you stress due to the "gl's" there are in chat, or the numbers in the chat icon and when you stress you will probably fall due to it, another thing is: if you are recording a vid on a tower or just wanting to beat the tower, turn your music off, EVERYTIME because the music can sometimes make you stress, maybe just listen to your own music or not listen to anything at all, for the youtubers you can just insert the music later while editing or put in your own music, i did this and beat my 2nd citadel and 5 towers in one day, its really helpful and can also boost your skill
@@notmrsunday7888 ToR f10 isn’t hard it just takes a long time. If your willing to take it slow it’s basically a free win at that point however I had to beat it twice because on my first near enough winning run I got halfway on the second to last rope and Roblox’s servers shut down after what I would guess was prob about 2 or 2 and a half hours of nonstop anger no cap I almost broke lol
Even after over 2 and a half years of playing this game, and after multiple SCs, I still compare myself to my peers. I think you worded your discouragement to that habit really well actually. I'll keep a better mindset to that, I'll need it for ToTB.
This video was very useful, i used to always quit towers in my second or third fail, now i stopped doing that and i've beaten a lot of towers since then

hey i just wanna add another thing to the dont compare urself to others part: instead of comparing urself to others, compare urself to the past you. see if you have improved. and if not, then find the thing blocking you from doing that and get past it
this video is very helpful for getting better in jtoh! this is prob one of the most legitimate videos on how to get better on jtoh! i started grinding ToIF a month ago (im not sure how long, prob 1 or 2 months), but i still havent beat it, and my pb is f9. if i fell in a high floor in ToIF, i would sometimes get frustrated and leave (i eventually come back to grind the tower after like 10 minutes loll). if i get inconsistent on a specific floor i could finish before while grinding, i usually take a break for a few minutes and then keep trying to beat the tower. playing a tower continuously for hours can make me more inconsistent with floors sometimes. taking a few breaks really helped me release stress before playing towers again :)
honestly the only reason i even fall is for missing a jump by like 3 studs or overshooting it like an idiot so i never feel like i fall for a reasonable reason and i just hurt myself for it
Something about the rushing: Most people rush to get a good time, I don't blame them, I did too. Jtoh has made a feature where you can turn off your timer and not see your time. If you are rushing, use this. Happy Heccs!
1.Blaming the game everytime you fall 0:25 2.DO NOT RUSH (at the towers that are hard for you). 0:55 3.Not practicing towers 1:19 4.Giving up when you failing once or twice 1:54 5.using technique that you cant do in a real run 2:50 6.grinding/spenting much time on the towers that are very Hard for you 3:09 7.Comparing yourself to other people. 3:39 :)
I dont have any bad habits mention but i have a thing to say about practicing, i like going into towers blind so what ill do is go in and play until i see that: "oh wait this is kinda hard to just go in and do blindly i should practice" and then i practice. The reason why i do this is to get as much blind gameplay in as possible
That last one I learnt the hard way, I used to speedrun piggy, but kept comparing myself to others, never do it, you may not be the best at a game, but think about how many people are not even close to your skill level.

This isn't a bad habit, but something that helped me improve is looking up to top players and aspiring to be as good as them. Currently I'm trying to grind ToCR but I might switch to ToTRP (because I'm an insane person). But yea wanting to be among the pros and be at least top 10 has gotten me way further than I could've ever imagined, and having that strong mindset is a blessing that I wish I could share with everyone.
1:57 yea don't give up when I was grinding TT I was grinding it. After failing floor 8 about 5 times and floor 9 once, I took a break for about 2 weeks. I proceeded to grind TT again and failed 9 for the 2nd time and rage quit. I then took ANOTHER break and didn't play TT for 3 weeks. Just a few days ago, I came back to TT to grind it again. I fluked it from 9 and beat it. My tip is, no matter how hard it gets, don't give up. Victory will be yours one day.
So you are telling me that I should give ToTS another chance, hell no that thing is so unbalanced I would enjoy it if it was like high intense - low rem most of the time but it’s like mid intense for almost the whole tower and then it throws floor 9 at you right after a waiting game (f8), I would rather jump to ToAAA than fail at floor 9 of that again.
Mine: I don’t blame the game, I see people do this but it’s stupid to do so I SoMeTiMeS rush on hard towers, Why? Idk. Maybe I think I’m Cool? I always practice EVERY tower. Yeah, when I first join the game I went into the towers in order, beat toast and ToA but when Tom came I couldn’t beat it, guess what I did? I went into the NEXT hardest tower. Yep, Did this untill EVERY tower I had an attempt on. I do give up at my 5th Fall. Unless it’s. Citadel. Last time I checked, I used skips on my runs on ToDC, I am not gonna use the intense skip or any above, I know these skips aren’t gonna get me kicked, because they are transparent skips. Meh, I also practice like a real run, not using techniques or whatever if that what this habit is. Yep, I spend TOO MUCH time in harder towers like uh, CoLS, ToDC, TT, ToDT, ToTL. Ok maybe not that much time but you get the idea, but these are the ones I am in mostly now. Good thing is I don’t compare myself to other people. I think it’s mean to do so. Also I am on mobile lol.
Give up after falling once is kinda hard in boring or bad towers like ToF I can play some towers I like (ToE or ToH) For more than 1 hour But I never beat ToF,ToSI and most of the bad tower because of this
By rushing I mean not setting up jumps that you should be setting up and, not using strategies that you might have made while practicing that are more consistent.
"do not spend time on towers that are way too hard for you" I actually disagree with this one. you can learn a lot from the harder towers, as long as you do not get frustrated. For example, as soon as i beat ToIE, i started practicing coq and doing it for like a month. because it made me so much better, i was able to beat todc, totl and todt in the span of a week or two.
Dude, @Zievex, I sometimes compare my tower completion points with other people, Like a time when I had 28 tower points and someone else had over 242 tower points, I watched videos (Jtoh Tower guide videos) of how people beat every tower (not all towers) in the game, so I quit Jtoh because of one Jtoh tower... ToLD, I beat it now, but before, I was struggling with it... Now, I understand that "practice with patience is the key to beating Towers". thanks for Motivating me @Zievex
Patience is my biggest problem. I have the skill to sightread and speedrun a remorseless tower on my first try and I have the skill to do ToDT within a few days with 0 practice sessions but my biggest issue is I can’t spend longer than 10 minutes on a tower without feeling like giving up. I got a ToHH run to 7 (with hardly any practice) and fell to 4 and quit. Even though the run was still alive I just couldn’t stand having to climb back up. With my skill level im obviously ready to attempt an extreme but I don’t have the patience to practice it. I’ve even found a way to cope calling it “kaan syndrome” because I have to speedrun everything I play. I basically got to 10 on ToQT on my first try at a pretty fast pace but once I fall I lose enjoyment. I have a blast playing towers but once I fall I lose enjoyment patience and any will to climb back up. I feel like it’s holding me back from improving because I end up playing easier towers but can’t beat them due to my patience level. Any advice?
I had this problem once so heres some tips 1. Dont speedrun - speedrunning isnt the goal of the game, the goal is to improve your skill level and have fun (its better to speedrun if you are rebeating a tower) 2. Focusing - following the point above, if you dont speedrun you can think and focus more on the jump you are doing and understand what it is and easily overcome it, if you lose focus you will keep falling 3. Motivation - this is a hard one but possible, go to a random jtoh ring 1 server and help guiding people with towers (this is how i got my motivation and patience aswell as 3 hour badge) the reason for guiding is that you will understand the struggle in the beginning of the game and while waiting for people you can realise that being patient is kind of relaxing 4. Believe in yourself - this follows up all previous points, just believe. If you cant beat it today, try tomorrow! If you fall dont leave, think of it as if someone punched you and you fell over, your not gonna lay there for the rest of eternity, your gonna get back up Hope this helped! And about the ToHH thing, set a goal everyday as a pb you wanna reach, challenge yourself
@@romarkgaming2009 thanks for the advice. I actually tried step 3 and 2 a lot. Believe it or not I decided to be a dummy and go for ToFM because I really enjoyed the tower and I spent 3 days with 5-6 hour session each and actually managed to beat the tower!!! It’s my first extreme too. I’m pushing for a Terri or ToRC right now. I appreciate the advice and it’s helped alot. Can’t really stop the speed run part though.
Habit 1: I have done this before but I mostly say... "omg man i suck lol" *is that okay?* Habit 2: I rush towers in general due to impatience, I will try to teach myself how to stop doing so but right now, I rush on reflex. Habit 3: Right now my skill level is of Intense - Remorseless and I have been trying to grind ToDT and ToCA, which are the two SC's that I plan to either beat first or second. Habit 4: Hard one, I have anger issues that trigger really easily. At school, at home, in game.. In my dreams..? Anyways yeah I normally tend to quit a lot after falling due to demotivation which is something I have to fight harder against if I want to break this habit. Habit 5: skip i have no problem here Habit 6: Uhhh, I totally don't do that.. Habit 7: I have never really done this before but I have thought of it.
"if you fall once or twice dont quit". i normally only quit for large falls like. fall from floor 4 to 1 its okay. ill try it again but something like 10 to 3 or 1. that hits hard. so i normally quit for a while to calm down after such a blow.
I actually grinded CoLS as a 2nd intense (1st being ToMIM) later ToMIM got brought down to challenging it's actually difficulty and CoLS was my only intense.
another one: if you fall from floor 8 to, let's say, floor 1 or 2, DON'T USE QUICK RESTART! it may seem demotivating to keep going, but you still have progress, and you should use it
“While it might be cool to brag that you beat your first sc tower without practice however doing it without practice will be very painful and will take much longer than practicing it” Me who beat ToDC first try in 10 minutes: ;-;
Hey actually not giving up after fail is a godly stuff Like green, the first person to beat catastrophic tower(ToGF/Generation a Failure) on mobile He did fall at floor 10 several times, but he didn’t gave up, he continued his attempts and won So don’t give up unless you keep raging, So you prevent raging take break after every 1 hour or 2 hour (not 30 min because you still practicing tower)
I watch the video so I can learn habits I need to drop, and your playing ToIE and show me a skip that skips my PB... thx now I can make actually progress
What's funny is that when I fall from floor 10 of a tower all the way to the bottom, I say "whoops,” but when I fall from floor 5 down to 4, I scream bloody murder.
i think you just fall a floor or two back but at 5 you fall to the bottom
yep that's legit always me
@OmgItsNewPro so basically, a person who wants to win?
@OmgItsNewPro You'll probably be happy if you get to 8-10 since those are the last floors. And if you fall, you wouldn't be angry just because you got pretty far and you are very close to beat the tower.
the thing is ur happy that u even got to f10

i know right
Especially when its due to dumb physics
Another thing I find useful to avoid is taking risky or stupid jumps just because you feel like it.

Mmm coq
wh- coq after toie??
@@sylvike8191 yeah i had no chill back then
@@sylvike8191 I like coq
nice vid all of these habits I can relate to even if i am an EO
Me getting luck clipped at floor 10 of a tower: *kalm*
Me when fail: *panik*
Any advice?
I had this problem once so heres some tips
1. Dont speedrun - speedrunning isnt the goal of the game, the goal is to improve your skill level and have fun (its better to speedrun if you are rebeating a tower)
2. Focusing - following the point above, if you dont speedrun you can think and focus more on the jump you are doing and understand what it is and easily overcome it, if you lose focus you will keep falling
3. Motivation - this is a hard one but possible, go to a random jtoh ring 1 server and help guiding people with towers (this is how i got my motivation and patience aswell as 3 hour badge) the reason for guiding is that you will understand the struggle in the beginning of the game and while waiting for people you can realise that being patient is kind of relaxing
4. Believe in yourself - this follows up all previous points, just believe. If you cant beat it today, try tomorrow! If you fall dont leave, think of it as if someone punched you and you fell over, your not gonna lay there for the rest of eternity, your gonna get back up
Hope this helped!
Great Video Man!
thank you jtoh therapist i am now able to beat a difficult tower
i fell on ton f9 and laughed it off like nothing happened
To where?
Habit 1: I have done this before but I mostly say... "omg man i suck lol"
*is that okay?*
Habit 2: I rush towers in general due to impatience, I will try to teach myself how to stop doing so but right now, I rush on reflex.
Habit 5: skip i have no problem here
Habit 6: Uhhh, I totally don't do that..
Habit 7: I have never really done this before but I have thought of it.
Nice job dude can’t wait for you to get the ad incomes
i grinded SoPP and eventually beat it, same with SoMC, cleared them both!
grinding is the key
"if you fall once or twice dont quit".
i normally only quit for large falls like. fall from floor 4 to 1 its okay. ill try it again but something like 10 to 3 or 1. that hits hard. so i normally quit for a while to calm down after such a blow.
I agree with you
1:52 always hard towers when you can
GRAMMAR 100
I can back up that you should practice parts of towers I practiced the last four floors of CoLS and beat it next attempt so it definitely helped
I actually grinded CoLS as a 2nd intense (1st being ToMIM) later ToMIM got brought down to challenging it's actually difficulty and CoLS was my only intense.
Found a skip in ToH, its very risky to take it but it skips the sliding down part and after that the climbing the ladder
i need to say all these are true AND MOST IMPORTANTLY AMAZING THIS HELPED ME BEAT TOTS AND TOLS TYSM!
another one: if you fall from floor 8 to, let's say, floor 1 or 2, DON'T USE QUICK RESTART! it may seem demotivating to keep going, but you still have progress, and you should use it
Ah yes, I could definitely do something to prevent constant ghost disconnects so i don't disconnect on F15 of CoHaD
the most important habit to do is breath slowly instead of quickly when you fail a tower. breathing quickly actually decreases your lifespan
1:50 lol
Dude you're gaining subs so fast, a week later ur already at 750+
Don't if this counts as blaming the game but I blamed a car alarm yesterday which put me off during ToCA
“While it might be cool to brag that you beat your first sc tower without practice however doing it without practice will be very painful and will take much longer than practicing it”
Me who beat ToDC first try in 10 minutes: ;-;
When i fall from floor 8-10 i like to slide of my chair
Hey actually not giving up after fail is a godly stuff
Like green, the first person to beat catastrophic tower(ToGF/Generation a Failure) on mobile
He did fall at floor 10 several times, but he didn’t gave up, he continued his attempts and won
So don’t give up unless you keep raging,
So you prevent raging take break after every 1 hour or 2 hour (not 30 min because you still practicing tower)
Do not use skips
Me: wHaT
Kaan: I disagree
I like your funny words, magic man
this helped so much, thanks for the advice
I watch the video so I can learn habits I need to drop, and your playing ToIE and show me a skip that skips my PB... thx now I can make actually progress
1:00 this is very true... ive watched a yt vid where someone rushed and failed f10 ToER. sad
its funny how i got to stage 157 in pyro's difficulty chart yet im trash at JToH, ToH and many other games.
because difficult charts have checkpoints each stage and are way easier than towers in JToH
@@takiblitz4965 yeah but
toh is easier than the the stage im stuck on in that game (each stage in the towers are)
this helped me do obby
helped you do tower of dispersed rooms
I just got into jtoh 2 days ago and am trying to do ToS as my 4th tower but floor 7-10 is brutal and idk how to practice it 😭
nothing can help me anymore i'm just stuck
