When Nsync won in VMA 2000's JC tried to speak and he didn't get a chance to cause all the others were interrupting. So when VMA 2001 came around JC made sure he had a chance to speak.
*NSYNC was a huge part of my childhood. Glad that they won the Viewer's Choice Award at the 2001 VMAs. 2001 was the quintessential year of my childhood! I vividly remember not just *NSYNC's song 'Pop' but also the other songs nominated.

During this point BSB were burnt out, and it was just Nsync time too shine. They definitely deserve their award no doubt. BSB definitely are more dominant worldwide as I feel Nsync got more of the American audience swinging their way both groups were amazing very similar but different at the same time. Feel like as got older BSB music hits better as they had more of the mature sound I feel.

They were there in the beginning. I remember because Jamie Foxx made a tasteless joke offering AJ a bottle of alcohol after he just got done saying that he was sober & thankful for the support. He also went after Mariah Carey for her mental issues as well. I like Foxx, but it was definitely not one of his best moments.
BSB thought they were going to accept the Viewer’s Choice live from their concert. I heard that they set everything up until they found out *NSYNC won. 🤣

Ananda sure loves NSYNC cuz in 2000 at their tour she's seeing on the jumbo Tron asking fans questions and stuff and vmas 2000 she and the late and great Aaliyah introduced them and 2001 she hands them an award. And they were on her show for the whole mother's day segment. Sooo epic.
