Nova Supernova2 PRO TEK CHUCK Fits Harbor Freight 34706 with this CHUCK Insert!

The Harbor Freight Lathe 34706 has a headstock size of 1"x8TPI. The ~Nova 23262 Premier Pro-Tek Supernova 2 Chuck Kit with Pro-Tek 2" Jaw Set is too large a circumference to fit directly on the H.F. Lathe headstock. The insert they send in the kit is a 1-1/4" x 8tpi Insert which is too large for the HF 34706 lathe. So, there is an adapter or insert (to say it properly) that will screw onto your headstock meeting the 1x8tpi so that the Nova chuck will fit the HF Headstock and Nova chuck.
The correct insert box code is~ IXNS Reversible 1" 8TPI Insert

Nathan, it's a LOT nicer than the other one. It's solid, smooth and the tools respond much better in congruence to the wood than the other chuck! I'm always glad to see you come by Nathan!

i had the same trial when i ordered a chuck, i realized i needed an adapter, but took forever to research and find what size adapter i need.

Exactly Bonnie! And that's why I wanted to put this helpful video out in hopes that it will save someone else the aggravation of having to ferret out the proper sized adapter out there like a needle in a haystack. You would think that as common as the Harbor Freight lathe(s) are, they would have more info readily available and a variety to choose from rather than being so limited to 1 or 2 tertiary chucks.
