"They played Navy, they played Army..." both teams were undefeated and ranked when Notre Dame beat them. Some people refuse to look at *this* year. Smh.
And ND also beat Georgia Tech by 18 points, who just took Georgia to 8 overtimes. Not to mention Louisville and Texas A&M. Ten wins in a row is impressive in this year’s college football period. Should be a #5 seed, 6 lowest.
@@Judelinton13biased towards notre dame? Literally how? They complained about imaginary penalties not getting called against notre dame and didn’t say a word about flags that should have been called towards usc
@jonathon-v9i Notre Dame has won six of the last seven against USC: 2017, 2018, 2019, 2023, 2024 (no game in 2020, USC won in 2022) Would also add that Notre Dame has won four of the last seven against USC at the Coliseum (2010, 2012, 2018, 2024) and has won six straight against USC at Notre Dame Stadium (2013, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2021, 2023)
Well, considering how some teams handled their rivals (Georgia needing 8 overtimes to beat GT, Ohio State STRAIGHT UP LOSING to Michigan, etc etc.) I'll take it. Great win ND. Only team that USC played that they didn't have a lead on in the 4th quarter. Not only that, but the only team to hand USC a double digit loss. GO IRISH!
Nah it seemed to be fairly even. ND dominated on the ground and rush defense, while USC dominated in the passing game. It came down to who made more mistakes and that was USC.
SC is .500 team and passed for 360 w/o their top receiver. Secondary is going to get waxed in playoffs. Not convinced ND is that good? A&M and Army were the big wins?
@@rubenrivera5794 ND won in 1988 and they should have won in 1989 and 1993. They were the best team in the country both years, especially after the bowl wins.

They don't play in a conference. This was their 3rd true away game. Put them in SEC or BIG10, they would be 8-4 maybe 9-3. You'll see come playoffs time how good they actually are.....didn't pull away from a .500 team till late in 4th
Uh, blah blah blah. They're 4-0 against ranked teams, 1-0 against the SEC (road game). Not their fault that two preseason Top 10 teams on their schedule fell off the map (FSU and USC). And you have no idea what their record would be in a conference. ND has a very long and storied history of being independent, winning national titles and Heisman Trophies. So keep your bias and hatred to yourself.

Pretty much. Only situation that may bump ND from the 5 is if Oregon loses to Penn State.
I get what you're saying but transitive property never works in sports.

let's not forget to mention how most blue bloods struggled against lower competition
The broadcast would have been great had the two announcers NOT been biased against Notre Dame! But then, it was cbs…what else should we have expected.
They were not that biased man
Idk man it seemed like they were bias towards Notre dame lol
CBS, on its' worst day, is not NEARLY AS BAD as ESPN/ABC typically are!!
Be glad Chris Fowler wasn't calling the game, that guy hates Notre Dame.

So Since Notre Dame doesn't play in a conference, they CONFIRMED their spot in the playoffs. LSU is kicking themselves right now. 11 more spots to go
How about Georgia Tech? They played Georgia to 8 overtimes at Georgia. We beat them by a couple of touchdowns at Georgia Tech.

The other guys were definitely talented. Nice to say the only game they trailed at start of the 4th quarter was nd
Didn't know interception didn't count, as if usc didn't have two extremely lucky INTs themselves. Should have been 49-7 if we're honest about it
USC never had the lead once they were playing from behind the majority of the game. ND is just bigger/faster/stronger
They didn’t “handle” anyone lol
Two picks cost the game other than that they were keeping up
Aka handled a wins a win a pick 6 is a pick 6 no matter when it happens in the game and both picks were for almost 200 yards cry more
Also, score was really 49-28, last touchdown was in last :40 seconds. Also, ND gave up a fumble and int, SC couldn't pull a head!
