Thank you for this helpful tutorial. I tried to use the foil quill pens with adapter D in the Cameo 4 but unfortunately there is not enough pressure to get the foil sticked to my cardstock. I even tried the highest pressure setting in silhouette studio: I still don't get good results. After searching the internet for help I find out that many people have the same problem and use adapter C with the blue pen holder. But I really don't like this 'complicated' solution. Does anyone have an idea why the adapter D doesn't work for some people but in this tutorial everything turns out perfect? Thank you very much!
I bought the same system that you are showing. I am so bummed it even shows the imprint on the card. No burning of foil onto it. Any suggestions? I was looking so forward to doing this! Excellent tutorial!!! Thanks
Hi there, my Cameo 4 tells me I have no compatible tool to do this. I have watched the video twice now, and have all the settings as per the video...I am still green at this lol!
When mine says that it is because I have not selected a tool after hitting the send button. It usually throws me off too until I realize i have NO TOOL selected.

I am doing everything just as the video says and it looks just like yours....everything is check marked ready to go and I get a incompatible tool and action for foil. So I change to cardstock....same response. I tried many and same result. Any other hints?
Hi, I know you have listed everything that you use in the description however, is there a specific name for the type of gold foil paper that you used, ie. Gold heat transfer paper etc...
I want to create a circle sticker that is about 3 to 4 inches around with my name and etsy store name but i have no idea how to do that. I want to place the sticker on back of the packaging. can you create a video demonstrating this? Thank you.
Will this work on sticker paper too, would like to make foil stickers using this method as I don't have laser printer and nor space for adding another printer but this seems to solve issue

You absolutely can, you need to use adapter A from the set that comes with the Foil Quill when using the Cameo 1. WRMK have not come up with a special adapter for Cameo 4 yet, that's what this video is mostly about, how to get around it.

I am having the same issue...there does not seem to be enough pressure from my cameo.. they work if u do it my hand but with the machine I can't get it to work for me...and it looks so simple

This is an old post but in case you never found the answer , ...You have to check the sketch box uncheck the cut box in the send screen.
How would you do this but with the cricut? Do you have video?

How can i stop the sticky mat ripping my cardstock when i take it off. Is it possible to use the card without the mat?
I wonder if you’re using too strong of a sticky mat. Perhaps you need to use the light grip.

I believe the heat melts it to make it stick.

Did you let your quill heat up for at least 5 mins. before starting?

Try reducing your speed I normally do it on speed of 1
