What I think is so genius about this is that it's actually a practical idea to cover the sorts of interactions that might go on within the park in a meeting to unveil the concept of the a park.
I saw a few online things where they cast real.Portland OR residents or actors to add flavor to the skits. Many speaking roles are guest stars, SAG actors. The "feminist bookstore" women were based on the actual store owners, workers. The real location closed around 2018 2019 🏚.
Love it: that park- something spring park- is RIGHT across the street from me. The water-feature usta have hella fish and turtles. I haven't seen them in forever, but really I haven't been there since the first week I lived there in like 2013.
I would so love to live in the city that portlandia portrays… only if it existed. I knew a guy from Seattle once. He was an ass and thought Germans especially East Germany was fantastic. Also Prague. He would go on and on and if you were not interested he would think you were a nerdy turd. Also he would complain about every other place that wasnt the aforementioned places
What does meeting a guy from Seattle have to do with Portland? Portland and Seattle are approximately a three-hour drive, 175 miles apart and in different states. They have a few similarities but are not the same culturally. Basing your ideas of people in Portland on one person from Seattle makes no sense.
I find those sketches totally European. I didn't know that Americans could do that. Normally everything that's polarizing is is considered to be indecent in America. But eventually that's humor that Europeans understand.
