I feel shadow work for me requires accepting myself as gay man, i am good person with a kind heart that deserves to love and be loved. My self esteem had always been low and I have struggled my whole life dealing with attention and an admiring eye from other men, things I supress and choose to deny rather than express. It’s baffling as I came out in 1998 but have slowly over time became more and more introverted, that’s the INFJ side of me struggling to connect with people in an authentic way! This video is helping me to accept the things that I deny to myself so thank you!

I find fear in my shadow. I'm afraid of everything since I encountered out of control Narcissistic screaming directed at me. Suddenly the whole world feels out of control, and anywhere I go is the wrong place and time. I've been trying to get rid of the fear so I can face the dangers with courage and strength. But this video encouraged me to face my fear, accept and comfort it, and realize the value it holds to protect me from foolishly running toward danger.

This projection is spot on true. Someone trying to manipulate and control you and some of the stuff they use to try and manipulate you, they end up projecting their weakness or bad quality on to you and if you're paying attention you can fight back and defend yourself more effectively.
I'm not a fan of contemporary psychologists and therapists but this stuff really works and have real results

I am repressing my anger towards injustice and people who are careless about their responseabilities to others. And I do so, because I was rejected in those feelings and even fought against, at places I should call home. As a teenager, ofc.
I would like to be able to require more from people. And to embrace the side of me, that I feel like they reject or do not own, so I can keep my own integrity.

i love the message and the art work! This is by far the best video on Shadow work….for me it involves art. More specifically Abstract art. Now I get why it needs to be Abstract…I never thought there was value to Abstract art, boy was I wrong!.
I recently joined an Art Tribe to do abstract paintings….I see beautiful abstract work here…I am struggling with putting abstract on the white paper….this shadow work i believe is the key to more than my art, but it will definitely help with my ability to put abstract on that white canvas which in turn will help me in shadow work….to put myself back together again, like Humpty Dumpty! Thank you for this channel and providing Carl Jungs profound insights… I would love to own his red book…quite pricey but maybe one day…..

Anger is fuel if you use it right.

@@iracknads exactly! We wouldn’t have this emotion if it was bad or wrong as everyone claims, as long as everyone is bias against it it’s always going to have the dogma attached. All emotions are not good or bad they are just present, it’s up to us not to judge them or we suppress the ones we aren’t “supposed” to have

Example of how anger can be great. I had a driving phobia for ten years and didn’t drive at all. One day I had a fight with my husband and I was so angry that I got in my car and drove away. Been driving ever since. Nobody was hurt and I broke through a bad phobia.
