Apparently the Rafale is about 1,000 kg too heavy right now, in addition to the Typhoon being like 60s too fast from brakes off (dead stop on the runway) to 35,000 ft, which would explain a lot of the performance difference between the Rafale and the Typhoon. Typhoon should still have a better T/W ratio but nowhere near what it is right now! Also, Rafale should have the AESA radar based on this model, so the radar should be significantly improved before it comes to live, and probably be the best radar in game (like the 2000-5F when it first came to the game with the RDY).
Those official figures for the Typhoon state it’s better than those figures, how much better likely being dependent on the specific loadout. Edit: my assumption would be the recommended air superiority loadout, 2 SRAAMs, 6 BVRAAMs and 3 1000l drop tanks, giving it a take-off weight of around 20t.

for now the Rafale is hugely work in progresse, he is too heavy, his gun don't have the right stats, his radar is a placeholder that will be replaced and he miss about 6Kn of engine power in afterburner, on the other hand, im pretty sure the typhoon will get nerfed on his manoevrability, IRL the Rafale has a better instant turn speed and a really similar sustained turn rate (even tho he have less thrust, his canards manage the air flow better, and he has in overall less drag, he is also lighter
It’s always funny because it’s so evident when the person commenting is French, since they use he/his or she/her gendered descriptions instead of “its” Mais bien sur, j’espere que la Rafale vas être amélioré dans le dev server.
I think actually in game the rafale also does have a better instant turn speed however it might just be me idk.....but when it devolves into pirouetting and falling leaf's around each other like most delta-canards tend to do, the typhoon is winning which is actually where the rafale should be excelling....... typhoon is good in a 2-circle,but in most other BFM scenarios the Rafale exceeds as we see in the IRL accounts of Typhoons mock-dogfighting Rafale's.
The Rafale is better in the 1 circle and the eurofighter is better in the vertical and 2 circle, the Rafale also hasn’t gotten its AESA radar so it’ll get that, they said it’s not finished yet but it’ll be the best radar in game, and it should also have 14 hard points so I think it should have more missiles but I’m long 100 percent positive on it
1:10 MICA-EM definitely isn't the best fox-3, its model in game is 1/4 of what its capable IRL, in game its only effective at around 8km, IRL its 30km, the AIM-120 is just more reliable overall
@@kochiyoshihe’s not wrong, the drag & wobble heavily reduces the MICA’s range. As a mirage 2000-5f player/enjoyer, the mica's are more capable than that, i have been getting a lot of 25 km kills in game (legit not joking) when going high and using BVR, maybe they were luck shots on unaware players, but under 15 km, the missile is 100% going to hit (if the other player doesn't chaff/evade it in time), in fact i do agree that the aim-120 is more capable at long range shots, but in a dogfight/front engagement situation, i'll take the mica's (For those who see this comment, you can lauch the missile at almost 90 degree in a headon, so while you evade you can just lauch the missile lmao)
The Rafale c has better supersonic maneuverability and post-stall maneuverability. In terms of Angle of Attack (AoA), Rafale can achieve a 100 to 110 degrees AoA angle of attack, while the Typhoon is just 70 degrees. And the Rafale has a slightly better sustained turn rate by like 1 degree at lower altitude, while the typhoon over 50,000ft performs better than the rafale. this current Rafale definitely needs some work, tbh the EF-2000 isnt all that inaccurate currently but my god is the rafale being capped
Eurofighter doesn’t have post-stall maneuverability, as it’s FCS doesn’t allow for it and there’s no pilot override. The FCS is also limiting the Typhoon’s AOA due to roll instability issues at higher AOA. The latter should be fixed with the upcoming AMK upgrade. In terms of supersonic agility it should be superior to the Rafale due to a mix of a higher thrust-to-weight ratio and a higher degree of pitch instability, apparently allowing it to do 9g maneuvers up to a speed of Mach 1.6.
@@RichelieuUnlimitedyeah this tracks what I’ve seen, Rafale is slightly more maneuverable subsonic, but eurofighter is unmatched in its ability to pull thrust out of its ass so in the long-run, it’ll win (if it doesn’t catch a magic or mica mid-dogfight)
@@Northern00 Eurofighter is intentionally built with a high degree of pitch instability, meaning it’s center of lift is forward of its center of gravity. The Rafale, the Eurofighter and the Super Hornet all had some measures undertaken to reduce their RCS, i.e. shaping like the canted stabilizers of the Super Hornet or the RAM coatings on parts of the Typhoon.
