I like the additional features but same question as the last video. Can you lay it on its side without causing it to burn up? Can you adjust the dimensions of the overall image? How far can it throw the image and still have a decent projection?

Great vid very well done! My only beef with this projector are the ⭐️ stars… way too linear, not enough randomization on the pattern of stars itself. When was the last time you looked up on a starry night and saw row upon row of stars, lined up in a straight line?

Hi Gareth, thanks for dropping a comment, of course I try to be inclusive of all markets for my viewers! I'm also surprised Blisslights haven't looked to include smart integration yet. I suspect because they sell so many units already and don't want to increase the price for the wifi/bluetooth and price of building an app. I do think they could simply make the projector function so if you cut power when you power back on it automatically turns on instead of having to press the button on the side, it's a small change they could make and that would allow us to use smart outlets to get some very basic functionality! I've seen another TH-camr literally mod his Blisslights to function in this way.

Can you have the nebula rotate and not the stars or vice versa or is it either both rotate or both stay still? Would hope I could have the nebula flash different colors with the stars static

Sure can, but you'll be limited in the custom controls and functionality a bit by only being to use the modes show in the physical buttons presses at 4:19

Hey 👋🏼 I bought the same projector you have but it won't let me connect. Keeps saying 'timed out' when trying to connect. I have s galaxy note 10 plus and I have tried it on both of my internet connections. PLEASE HELP
I've laid out all the installation tips in that section of the video. See the video chapters in the description, make sure your on a 2.4ghz network as well. Worst case send it back, but probably something local.

Not really designed for that, wouldn't be powerful enough to have a strong effect in a large space. You'd want to look into more professional party and laser lights for stage and events.
Hey Julian, this was a good review. I literally only just bought the Bliss about 3 weeks ago.... But if I'm honest I'm happier with this one I think than I would be with your smart one. Because what I've done to my one is plugged it into a smart outlet so I can switch it off via voice command, but I also stuck a little bit of clear cellotape over the on-off button so I don't have to press it to come on, the smart command works because it's always pressed on if you get what I mean 😅 (I'm not clever I just come up with random ideas and sometimes they work 😂😂) Anyway cheers for the vid chap, still here and I think I will be for the foreseeable future. Hope everything's calming down somewhat. All the best.
Hey Tidgy! Thanks as always for watching and commenting! I didn't know if you taped the power button on the Blisslights that would work, will have to try it out on mine! I had been wondering how to "hack it" sort of to plug it into a smart outlet! Anyhow, this projector does have some defining differences with the smart features such as changing the colors and brightness, and I think I prefer the laser patterns on this version vs. the Blisslights but both are great units! Not yet, but it's a good video idea!To answer your question: I would start with probably a few light strips, (Mount behind your desk or TV) Then maybe some sort of RGB lamp, and a star projector. You could also consider a neon sign. Govee makes a lot of great products, if I was starting from scratch again I would go with them! Excellent. Are there many other EFX as well as those you’ve demonstrated? I’m seriously considering treating myself to one of these for my forth coming birthday. Which Would you highly recommend? I don’t mind spending extra for extra features, clarity, et cetera.
I have a cheap "spaceship" one that doesn't rotate and I really like to use the actual white light nebula that it has when I'm eating (cause I can actually see what I'm eating), so I feel like that's missing in these? Also I don't understand why most of these projectors have only green lasers, does anyone know?
I've answered this question many times before. The answer is a bit complicated but the short version is there is no such thing as a white laser natively. A white color laser is created by combining red green and blue laser light. It would be a complex feat to create this in a consumer based star projector. Not that it's impossible, just that the design and cost would become impractical for a mass produced consumer product.

@@thomascrown8973 You may want to look to stage lighting with more powerful laser's or animation bulbs, as it needs to be a fairly dim setting to work! You can try the blisslights with the blue lasers for something more realistic or just return if it doesn't suit your needs!

Hey 👋🏼 I bought the same projector you have but it won't let me connect. Keeps saying 'timed out' when trying to connect. I have s galaxy note 10 plus and I have tried it on both of my internet connections. PLEASE HELP
I've laid out all the installation tips in that section of the video. See the video chapters in the description, make sure your on a 2.4ghz network as well. Worst case send it back, but probably something local.

Thanks for everything you do here though my credit card bills may disagree with that statement. I have used so much of the knowledge I have gained from your channel to help build out my own apt the way I want. Is the specific unit you are reviewing in this segment the Encalife or something else? The link on Amazon is not available but somehow I ended up on the Encalife site which said their galaxy projector is a pre-order.

Not really designed for that, wouldn't be powerful enough to have a strong effect in a large space. You'd want to look into more professional party and laser lights for stage and events.
Hey Julian, this was a good review. I literally only just bought the Bliss about 3 weeks ago.... But if I'm honest I'm happier with this one I think than I would be with your smart one.
Because what I've done to my one is plugged it into a smart outlet so I can switch it off via voice command, but I also stuck a little bit of clear cellotape over the on-off button so I don't have to press it to come on, the smart command works because it's always pressed on if you get what I mean 😅 (I'm not clever I just come up with random ideas and sometimes they work 😂😂)
Anyway cheers for the vid chap, still here and I think I will be for the foreseeable future. Hope everything's calming down somewhat. All the best.
Hey Tidgy! Thanks as always for watching and commenting! I didn't know if you taped the power button on the Blisslights that would work, will have to try it out on mine! I had been wondering how to "hack it" sort of to plug it into a smart outlet! Anyhow, this projector does have some defining differences with the smart features such as changing the colors and brightness, and I think I prefer the laser patterns on this version vs. the Blisslights but both are great units! Not yet, but it's a good video idea!To answer your question:
I would start with probably a few light strips, (Mount behind your desk or TV)
Then maybe some sort of RGB lamp, and a star projector. You could also consider a neon sign. Govee makes a lot of great products, if I was starting from scratch again I would go with them!

Mine is for some reason black and when I plugged it in it started to flash but like on off idk what’s the prob can someone explain
I have a cheap "spaceship" one that doesn't rotate and I really like to use the actual white light nebula that it has when I'm eating (cause I can actually see what I'm eating), so I feel like that's missing in these? Also I don't understand why most of these projectors have only green lasers, does anyone know?
I've answered this question many times before. The answer is a bit complicated but the short version is there is no such thing as a white laser natively. A white color laser is created by combining red green and blue laser light. It would be a complex feat to create this in a consumer based star projector. Not that it's impossible, just that the design and cost would become impractical for a mass produced consumer product.
Is smart skylight the same as skylight 2.0?
No, they are different, I'll be releasing a video in the upcoming weeks comparing them both actually!

There is a bit of noise when they are turned on. Easily remedied by some music.

Only Blisslights comes in a blue stars variant, it blends more with the nebula, personal choice really.

I wish to project some starts on classical a concert hall ceiling and i am interested in more realistic stars and less on the hologram
@@thomascrown8973 You may want to look to stage lighting with more powerful laser's or animation bulbs, as it needs to be a fairly dim setting to work! You can try the blisslights with the blue lasers for something more realistic or just return if it doesn't suit your needs!
