I recorded my first tries and failed horribly even in Easy Mode. I wrote down my first impressions and uploaded it. I had in mind that people, who were still waiting for the game, could see some footage of the new stages. Please don't complain about "Easy Mode". Without it, we would have never experienced Cirno's siganture spellcard "Icicle Fall".
People who say Undertale is hard have never played any Touhou games. People who say most Touhou games are hard have never played other Japanese bullet hells. People who say Japanese bullet hells are hard have never played Legacy of Lunatic Kingdom.
+Lionel Faylard Those are quite accurate difficulty settings there see I knew Zun messed something up when he put normal mode it was actually supposed to be lunatic :D because that is how it felt by stage 5 and 6 on normal when I played my gosh.
Haha maybe Zun is trying to raise the bar for normal mode. XD Maybe he plans for 16 to be similar in difficulty or he's just messing with us and making it more and more difficult little by little.

I know, It's just that I've seen a lot of memes that make fun of easy mode, and even one fangame that includes a "Go play your easy mode, Cirno". I'm assuming this is what the vocal minority of the Touhou fans are like.

@@BrikaEXE you dont understood? its easy. You DIE. On a serious note: its just random bullet, dont panick. Once the blue rings comes out, tackle the rings one by one, the last phase just forces you to tackle both at the same time. The rest is just random bullets. Be on guard.
The Guy Like most trick spellcards it's not that hard after learning a good strategy. Focus on finding a sustainable pattern that you can maintain almost indefinitely, even if it's not hitting very hard for damage. IIRC, the trick is slowing a few bullets per wave just enough so that a gap appears, but not so much that they remain on screen for a long time and get on your way. Alternate between the right and left side so that the slowed bullets of the previous wave have time to move away.
That was the only spell I didn't die to. Both Hell Eclipse and Flash and Stripe took at LEAST 30 tries, and her last one got me a couple times, not to mention her second to last getting me a fair few times before I figured out how to deal with it, but that one wasn't that bad.
Easy Mode Clownpiece is so simple and stress-free whereas Normal Mode Clownpiece becomes fucking lunatic suddenly. What happened in between Easy and Normal mode for Clownpiece?

Well kinda. When I was playing Touhou 6 on my old laptop (running XP) I couldn't get used to the controls and of course. I kept running into bullets (and my new PC made no difference)
I probably spent a good 30-40 min on that last spellcard. It's horrific, even on easy. It'd be doable if the moons were slower and were more of an obstruction(Like Okuu's Suns) versus being practically bullets with large hitboxes. I'd have to say ZUN is trolling with these games, he has to be enjoying himself on these videos.
That last spell isn't actually that bad if you circle the screen, following the group of three moons. You only have to dodge through one set of bullets each burst, since the spinning moons destroy the rest.
I kinda want to see someone beat Clownpiece's last timeout without moving from the bottom half of the screen. Don't care which mode. I just wanna see it.
As a person who 1cc'd the game in both Pointdevice and Legacy modes on Normal I can safely say this is actually not that hard of a Touhou game, mostly because of the broken bombs and huge amounts of Life Pieces. SA and DDC still are and will probably the hardest. And yeah, this video gave me a big laugh. I love those kinds of montages~
Hina Face How could you say DDC is harder than UFO. Normal DDC is easy up until Benben. (I guess to an extent kagerou) UFO seems stupid all the way through.
VictiniExpert2400 Funny, I found UFO actually very easy. The trick is, you need to focus on collecting the Red UFOs. At the end of Stage 3, I had 9 lives already. I never 1cc'd DDC, mostly because of the stupid PoC lives system that makes you kamikaze into a wall of bullets.

We'll see in a few days, but I don't think so. About Touhou 15, the difficulty spike is a compromise for the introduction of an alternative mode aimed at beginners. The ones used to infinite lives with checkpoints idea in compensation with higher difficulty from games like Super Meat Boy or I Wanna Be That Guy. Playing LoLK normally is like if you forego the infinite lives for something like the Super Mario series 1-Up + power-up system for a game like Super Meat Boy.
***** i looked into the code and used cheat engine to find the true ending, the requirements were no death and bombs. you can test it out by dieing in stage 6 boss, redoing stage 6 without any death or bomb will lead to her not wanting to fight. using bombs in stage 6 with no death leads to not want to fight but different speech.
Whattt? Well do you have a cheat table that makes the player invencible? (ex: get hit get hit by bullets and not lose any lives or die) So i could see it.
Felipe Turella everyone at cheatengine community tried to remove the hitbox but its not possible, if hitbox is not president then game will not launch well.
Its hard but I dont think its the hardest. The game is clearly designed around grazing so you have to move like you are riding the wave most of the time. And besides they gave you the point mode for a reason.
