The VCAR is actually really good with short barrel and close combat ammo. If you can keep the clicking rhythm going you can enjoy one of the lowest ttk in BF2042.
Its funny because I own that gun and its a 22 magnum. Super portable and low recoil, was very surprised to see they had it in the game. Its the Keltec CP30
I feel like they did this so that people would be less inclined to think players are cheating lol. If every cheater uses Paik, they can just claim that they used her ability.

They need more non military transports at the ends of zip lines and mid way of large spaces. Giving better opportunity for squad on squad interactions similar to battleroyal
Yeah it's something they've needed since last gen. Make some of the random cars and trucks drivable. On 64 player maps they should be able to do this now.
My loadout called "I feel dirty" is Paik, M5 with wrapped suppressor/smoke launcher/close combat or subsonic mags, proximity sensor, and I can use whatever gadget slot I want this way but I like Ammo Crate. It's pretty busted, enjoy.
Similar with mine although I’ve been using the Mp9 with K8 Holo / Close Combat Ammo / LWG Grip / PB HEAVY SUPPRESSOR OR Tactical Compensator depending on map. Experimenting with the subsonic mags, perfect for when spawn beacon flank but limited to a 21 bullet mag which can get you in trouble.
Whenever I run Paik its in infantry heavy maps, ammo box, smokes, and usually with an SMG. Throw smokes in tight areas and pop wallhacks. Look to replenish smokes with ammo box. If the map is larger I use the smokes to cross large areas and replenish them on the way to use them in tight areas. Truly OP and you straight beam completely unaware enemies
imo, paik + smg + ammo box + motion sensors are broken comp since the release of BF2042. I had mutliple games with 70 + kills, back to back. You just see everything and everyone once you get used to it, mastered paik and sensors in like week and a half, and I don't have as much time to play ...
I managed to serve as a gunner to Condor Airlines. Was absolutely insane, road killing people on the ground and even managed to ram an LAV off the cliff in Exposure.
This specialist is the most disappointing element of the game. Why have the recon ghili suit guy when you can just have situational awareness dominance with magical visor lady?
Because Casper is an absolute spotting machine, he’s a team player. On breakthrough he can spot the entire enemy team which helps you get more points and assists and also helps your team see the enemy.
I feel like combining her with smokes like you were saying would be annoyingly strong 😂 Also maybe sensor grenades and an ammo box? Just non-stop mini map ping?
Always take smoke on an underbarrel if you're going to play smoke. Frees up that grenade slot or the gadget slot by not having to run your smoke on those.
Yep used to carry a smoke kit with Rao and hack to find targets without giving away my position like Paik used to. Now its ridiculous with Paik, drop smoke everywhere and collect dog tags.
when pushing B2 as an attacker on Exposure, land on the roof - prone on the ledge and throw smokes into the site, very easy to make an entry with Paik and catch enemies off guard.
Most the specialist gadgets could be battle pick ups and some other could be shoe-horned into classes, like a Support class could either drop ammo or armor plates, like that would be a nice touch tbh.
3:41 And I STILL think that we could have just given every class an extra slot for a Specialist Gadget. Assault could get the grappling hook, Recon could take the hacking device or the wallhacks helmet. Supports could equip the riot shield or the loadout crate, or maybe even Irish's gadget or the turret. Medics could equip the healing dart gun, etc. Would have made it instantly better.

Main thing putting me off this game. I just do not like this whole specalist system compared to the Assault, Support, Engineer, Medic and Scout classes. I still play BF1 religiously, and it's a glorious feeling when all players on your team work in tandem in terms of doing specific roles. The heals and revives are coming in, the scouts are dropping flares to spot, assaults are fighting vehicles and supports are pushing objectives and assisting the team. Or when you get cavarly maps and the horse rider spams the ammo/medic pouches and helps the infantry push up.
Was just remembering how excited I was for this game. I’m 35 and since bf3 I’ve been absolutely hooked on the franchise. The excitement and anticipation before release of any BF title is like Christmas for adults. Months spent dreaming and countless hours looking for “leaked battlefield video’s”, until the day arrives. We all know how special release day is. We wake up early and literally play all day. We then consume all the maps and don’t feel satisfied until we know every nook and cranny like the back of our hand. I’ve sunk 1000’s of hours into Battlefield. To say I am disappointed with this game is an understatement. I just want that feeling again...
I’ve been hesitant and getting this game, waiting for it to be in a decent stable state, but watching your vids on it makes me just want to jump in, thank you!
Wait for the the new season and then try it for 10 hours on EA play first would be my advice. Then you’ll know whether you want to put more Dollars into it.

I bought BF2042 a few days ago after holding it off for long since I didn't like the beta/trial at all. However I must say, it is quite fun, I do enjoy it. As a new player but longtime battlefield fan/player, it has potential, just needs smaller maps, more vehicles, more weapon to vehicle damage balance, etc
Just shows how dumb the Dice developers can often be. They literally took away the one downside of playing Paik. Imagine giving actual wallhacks being their solution to 'people not playing Paik enough'. She was more or less balanced the way she was. Dice just finds new ways to ruin infantry gameplay in every update. From being spotted by almost everything to OP helos to auto-turrets & rangers. BF2042 is without a doubt the worst designed BF game ever which manages to be fun just sometimes.
I think it will change soon and they will make gadget specific specialists based on what they said a couple months ago. Won’t be like proper old school classes though.

The fact that there is literally no counter play to Paik’s scan is ridiculous. The change of unspotting her while it’s active was that counter play and now there is nothing 🤦♂️
I still rate casper all the way, C5 drone plus scouting for ez xp. The new rifle from the season pass is excellent, slowly getting to grips with it all again after putting it down previously. One thing I have noticed, attackers feel very strong, as in I definitely lose more matches as the defenders.. maybe coincidence but that's about it. Haven't experienced any of the bugs from my last time playing which is always a win.
when players first saw paik everyone was like "this is dumb" and "this doesnt belong in battlefield or shooters in general" now they buffed her for some reason on breakthrough they might as well either make the "you've been revealed" msg permanent or disable it, since you are going to be seen by a paik 99% of the game anyways
Been using Paik primarily for weeks and even pre nerf she was still pretty OP despite also pinging for enemies. Her scanner is situational and at times it can get you killed but for the most part it is incredibly OP and I’m surprised that more people aren’t using her. Emp grenades are the best counter, and also worth mentioning that her cool-down significantly slows down when you aren’t moving, so you want to be on the move to recharge it. I like that it’s suitable for some scenarios but not always viable, and depends on play style, ideally used when you are on a contested sector.
Can’t wait for everyone to start using this now. Thanks. Literally nobody used this before and I started my challenges for the class 3 days ago for it. Can’t wait for the game to be unbearable again👍

Thats exactly what I do... sometimes depending of the map I carry C5 to wipe loads of them using smoke

That's why you can't just put BF2042 style on older maps, it breaks so many things and mechanics that way.

You mentioned smokes in the video. I’ve come to realize that smoke grenades are VERY useful in battlefield. You can push like crazy with those things
Yeah they have always been useful but not many pick them as they prefer an easier offensive option. Smokes are great 👍
