Who isn't crying? This peice is right through magnificant and this young orchestra makes an heartbreaking performance of it, just watching them... The choir entrance at 5:17 is one of the finest passages ever composed, simplicity is always the key to beauty.
This has always been one of my favorite classical pieces. I was lucky to be at this recording in Utrecht. The ginger at the back at 6:45 is my son. It makes me very proud every time I get to watch this video🤩
It was played and sung majestically! What a wonderful experience to look back on for the rest of your lives. You are a proud and heroic nation, and have my deepest admiration. Congratulations to you all. R. Larsen, Tennessee, USA
A very powerful music - presented by a phenomenal youth orcherstra and choir. You really caputured the sweetness and sting in this masterpiece. Thanks!
I have this on a CD played by the Philadelphia Orchestra, conducted by Eugene Ormandy, with the Mormon Tabernacle Choir, which is incredibly beautiful, but this version gave me goosebumps.
Indeed! Good pronunciation, too! Well done, all! ... kuin itse taivaan kansi sois. (As if even the vaults of heaven resounded...), you'll never forget this experience!
Technically brilliant. I recognise that performing in a church places some acoustic challenges on the sound quality due to echo reverberations, however one lesson for the future in view of this composition and its history with the time in which it was made might be for performance to have more bite. Sibelius rarely shouts in his music, yet this piece was intended for Finland to awaken and it seems that it works best when performed with that spirit.
Yes, absolutely wonderful. Thank You very much!

Amazing performance, From Finland.
They're singing in Finnish. Thanks for that.

Wow! And you should be proud. Is he the ginger with the glasses or without?
Thrilling!!

Who doesn't when the choir enters at 5.16. So simple, so beautiful! Excellent performance by these young students!
Dit is een van de mooiste uitvoeringen van Finlandia. Kippenvel!

For those who don´t know ...This is part of music Jean Sibelius wrote before Finland being independent. His music was forbidden by russian rules

Onvoorstelbaar goed voor amateurs. Het klinkt als een prof ensemble zowel koor als orkest Super goed gedaan.
Geweldig iedere keer weer 👍🐝🕯️
Thank you Finland, and thank you for being the great nation you are.
¿Ya les urgía terminar o que?
El último movimiento está algo acelerado. Todo lo demás está perfecto me encanto.
Prachtig !! 🙂🙂
Thank you. Shame this piece isn't our national anthem.
It was the national anthem of Biafra. Unfortunately Biafra did not get it's independence from Nigeria.
Magnífica execução de FINLÂNDIA, do grande gênio Jean Sibelius. Saudações de São Paulo, Brasil.
SUBLIME ! J'aime la Finlande.
oui.
Thanks anyway old Helsinki town
I can't listen to this without breaking into the baritone part and singing along. It's impossible...
Brilliant, siis ihan loistavaa.
Well.
This is not Finlandia which should be much more emotional......
