This is the MOST HELPFUL How-To video about Bosch dispenser 12008380, with every important detail of the entire procedure included. Thank you, Sir!!! I timed myself replacing it for the first time. It took me only 16 min., after spending 12 min. watching this video 👍

For me it was a roughness on the bottom of the dispenser and not the gasket. Thank you for the video. Removing the door and romoving the roughness was the answer.

Thanks for the excellent video! I bought the part from Amazon and we followed your video and repaired our soap dispenser. I figure we saved at least $150 on a service call. Only took an hour. ❤

Great video, very helpful, I just changed mine out in well under 30 minutes. Seems like my old dispenser is ok after soaking it upside down in vinegar. 🤨

GREAT vid--thank you! Quick question: By chance, is there a "key code" --pressing the dishwasher's control buttons--that would trigger the opening of the dispenser door to test it? That would make troubleshooting the problem a little easier.

Thanks! My model is different but this showed me where the spacing blocks at 7:52 and 8:00 go.

Thanks for making the video. Between this one and your other we were able to match our (Au) dishwasher up to your examples and replace the dispenser AND the spacers. Now the big test - turning it on with rinse aid :-)

Great video. Question: I have the proverbial one part left over after finishing the soap dispenser swap. It's a blue and gray rubber strip slightly shorter than the width of the door. It fell off during the disassembly. Any idea where it goes? Thanks!

That is the seal and you must install it or it will leak.. Take pictures before and during disassembly always.

      @@mrgcav I don't think that is correct.

It goes along the very top of the control panel on the inside with the blue strip visible

So the small piece of tape doesn't get taken off? Odd.

How long does this repair actually take ? So I know my repairman is not bilking me.

    • @tektech1065

Best to call and ask for approximate estimate. Total cost should be around 2 hrs + parts. A service call repairman will need to add his travel time and mileage. Night and weekend calls can cost a little extra.
