It became clear that if I wanted to have any friends, I had to get out the banjo...... Well that's one thing I thought I'd never hear

Guitar is standard tuned EADGBE, Banjo is standard tuned GDGBD, drop the high E on a guitar to a D and you can do some pretty cool banjo runs minus the G drone

Awesome! I've been working on "My tears don't show" this week. Such a great arrangement. I love Noam! I would love to meet him one day and pick his brain! Brilliant musician and seems like such a great guy!

Catch one of his solo shows. He'll probably come out and chat afterward, and you'll see a performance that'll knock your head off.

What microphone is being used here for the Banjo? The one in the frame? It looks and sounds great!

Interesting to see him play a top tension banjo. I have a Lane top tension banjo that is a real collectors item. R.H. Lane made about 40 banjos total, and the one I have is one of his earlier ones. I play clawhammer banjo, so I'm using an old Vega Tubaphone. I'm thinking about selling the Lane, but would need to get a good price for it because of it's rarity.

This was the only time that banjos made friends and influenced people. Ever.

Actually not at all, this was pretty much my exact experience whenever I got into rock music. There were already a million guitarists better than me in my area, but when I started playing Zeppelin tunes on a banjo every rock guy in town wanted to jam with me. lol
