    This is about the best I've heard on the new Internet-there's so much great new music, but I do think that this is just about the best!

    The best few minutes on the internet. Such pure beautiful singing and Noam’s endlessly flowing creative dance on the strings. I giggle with delight every time.

      "Flowing creative dance'. Thats a perfect description.

      Hey Scott, I agree - it reminded me of the first time I saw Josh Ritter at the Ryman - smiling all throughout the set....

      In real time, she knows it's something special! Such an oustanding performance and terrific recording! I can't stop playing this song. Had to run it through the TV and stereo-- cranked!

      I'm learning a lot from watching and trying to emulate what he's doing on that 4-string. He's using some incredible voicings and rolls that I can't help from being inspired by. I can't count how many times I've been brought back to this video. Caitlin wrote an incredible song, but Noam made it greater than it ever was without him.

    If only I could wave a magic wand and have the 10,000+ hours of discipline and practice Noam has. That guy is the best

      I'm curious as to what he's playing, looks like it's only got 4 strings, resonator tenor guitar?

    • @berachtdorian6191
      @berachtdorian6191 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@johnmeriwether9161 Correct. 10,000 hours is about two hours a day for fifteen years. He's probably put in between 25,000 and 40,000 hours.

      20,000 repetitions to get one soccer skill nailed. Problem is, he's also born with more talent than the rest of us put together. You can't teach genius.

    Just came to me - your voice - may - work perfectly with Gillian Welch's. Might be very interesting to see a six song EP, all four of you. Also, btw (popped into my head) kid named Bella White, as unique as Emmylou, nobody knows about her, has two, early, masterpieces, "The Hand of Your Raising" and "Just Like Leaving (Live)", think someone should look at it.

    Beautiful song played wonderfully - shame he never looks up once as she tries for eye contact but then i guess if you can play like Noam you don't need to - Caitlin fabulous as ever - not sure what his instrument is correctly called but it doesn't matter as he makes it sound superb

    Am very interested in exactly what the instrument that Noam is playing is called. A couple of previous posts referred to the instrument he is playing as a "resonator banjo", but the banjos used to play bluegrass are referred to as resonator banjoes (Google "resonator banjo"), and that ain't what he is playing.
