I think this FM guitar was supposed to come close to either the TFIV rhythm guitar or the ones that Vic Tokai liked to use (Mainly in the Battle Mania games).
I'm not trying to criticize, but I think the bells would be a better fit for the YM2612 (and guitars for the RF) That wouldn't sound close to the original yeah but it'd be better technically I believe
I actually tried that initially, but as it is now with the bell instead of the guitars, it's 63.4kb in sample size, so I wouldn't have enough space for two guitar samples.
It was made using a combination of FL Studio and MID2VGM RF by ValleyBell. This remix was made before I had an issue with hard drive corruption and lost some stuff, but if I find the samples I used to make this, then I'll reply to this message saying that it's been uploaded to the Google Drive of resources I have under most videos.
@@NUKELEDGEah. that would explain why the samples themselves were much larger than what MD sound drivers could actually use. Furnace ships with a sample editor so you can edit samples to actually fit the MD. Namely, that the 68k isn’t actually capable of 16-bit PCM of 44.1k audio: instead I’d recommend 8-bit with a max sampling rate of around 32k(most games use much less, your average MD game nowadays uses around half of that) With a limit of 32kb per sample, each sample slice can be around half a second of audio.
Wow, this was an unexpected surprise to see this track sounding super close to the original. 😳
This is insanely accurate to original, my gosh.
It's insane how this is even possible on this kind of hardware. Nice work!
I think it would be pretty cool to see a new Sonic game come out that with the music composed using Genesis hardware.
FM 1 might be my favorite just because of the fact that the wavelength is changed so slightly to create such a killer rhythm 0:48
WOAH this is incredibly close to the original. Ur an absolute madman when it comes to this stuff lmao, this is awesome
That's an FM guitar????
Really, the sound design on this is awesome. Great work!

Sounds very close to the original. And those Thunder Force guitars are top tier.
This is fantastic - thanks for making this!
This reminded me how much I loved this song in the game. I'd replay the stage just to hear it.
Perhaps the best song of this game's soundtrack.
Egg Albatross is my personal favorite, but Stage wise this ome definitely takes the cake, with Bingo Highway being close behind.
This is a really good recreation.
Awesome work! I hope they bring this song back in the near future.
Would Mystic Mansion fit in with CD lol?
Naming convention definitely checks out.
@@RandomTomatoMusic hell yeah
bruh wat
man just said
“i can do that too”
Radicalsoda needs to hear this.
damn those guitars are amazing! is there any way I could get those patches 👀
Guitars are from Thunder Force IV, bass is from Kiss Shot, leads are just sawtooths and sine waves.
@@NUKELEDGE thanks!
cool
ok... nice gj but where is hang castle? = )

@@NUKELEDGE Aw that's a shame... We do need a proper RF tracker then.
Maybe asking ValleyBell for some sources wouldn't be a bad idea...
@@xan1242 I could use Furnace, but I don't like trackers.
Almost sounds like a Streets of Rage track!
I've always wished that heroes used the classic designs.
Was this made using furnace? Any chance you can share the song files? Would really like to look under the hood

Just responding to the description but ye did mean Part 6 right? That's understandable. To each their own i guess.
Awesome! Where did you get the FM guitar patch?
Thunder Force IV
what's ym2612 & rf5c68?
YM2612 was the FM chip used in the SEGA Genesis.
RF5C68 was the PCM chip added on top with the SEGA CD.
Hey, is it okay if I can use this for a Sonic.Exe game I'm making/directing currently?
Sure
@@NUKELEDGE Thanks so much!
