    They sound fantastic together. I love how so many artists scooped Barry up and sang with him. Makes my heart smile.

      When Barry speaks of his brothers, he tears up and I LOSE it! I become a blubbering idiot! I get emotional seeing a guy cry. It hits me harder than a woman crying probably because it's more ..natural..(not sure if that's the correct word) but you get what I mean? Neither band is spot on my generation. I wasn't born early enough to experience the Bee Gees as a teen but my older sis did. She had the BG's plastered all over our room..we shared a room. But I listened and listened and came to love their music. ✌❤🎶😁

    Barry Gibb and the Bee Gees are right up there with Lennon and McCartney with their songwriting abilities.
    Loved them all my life!✌❤🎶😁

      I understand that The Bee Gees were and will always be fabulous with endless Beautiful and varied songs but, in Sports Betting Terms, we should always " Bet Without The Beatles" as it's a given that their 230 hit catalogue is Number 1 and Barry,Robin and Maurice may well be "Best Of The Rest" :)
      Robin, Maurice, Andy R.I.P..

      I love THe Bee Gees but which one of the 230 TWO HUNDRED AND THIRTY songs that The Beatles wrote did you not like...?

    • @jackiesueann3476
      @jackiesueann3476 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @Spud Johnsonn I feel they're equal. I'm a huge fan of the Beatles and they're my all time favorite band ever! Although...I also feel that both bands are majorly talented with their songwriting capabilities. Every artist has their own way of writing. Both the Beatles and The Bee Gees are in the songwriters hall of fame as well.It's not a competition between the two. What I'm saying is that I feel they're equals.✌❤🎶😁

    Brought tears to my eyes . I know how his dear Mom feels as I have lost 2 of my 4 adult children. The song has a special meaning to me and Ricky was right, God is the only answer to a grieving broken heart. Love listening to all the Bee Gees songs

      To : William Gleaton .... me too,William. I'm also 67 and I've loved them so very much since " Mining Disaster ". " Words " has always been my favorite. We have been so blessed ------ every 2 minutes for years and years such glittering jewels poured out of the radio and blew us away.We loved it , but we also took it for granted. TH-cam still does something right by letting us see all our old friends again and also introduce whole new generations to the magic.

    Barry is the last living member of the BeeGees. I believe his brother Robin had just died when this was recorded. The guy introducing him is country/bluegrass/Gospel legend Ricky Skaggs. Playing at the Grand Ole Opry is the highest honor that any country singer can have. Ricky Skaggs was giving Barry Gibb the ultimate welcome to Nashville.

    Check out Crazy Horses by the Osmands. The song was banned from radio for awhile after it first came out bcuz they were saying it was about drugs when it's actually protest against anti nuclear warfare. One of my all time favorites. I first heard it on my older brothers old records in the 80s when I was a teenager and totally fell in love with it. And then I used their old 8 track and learned every song to every Abba song and on them. And the beegees are my #1 favorite. I'm old but they were b4 my generation by a couple decades if not more.
