The stadiums that are missing in Ireland are SuperValu Park in Cork and Thomond Park in Limerick
Thomond and I say this as a Munster fan does not meet UEFA standards as it is too small in capacity and has 15,000 of its spots as terracing which suits me just fine as the east and west terrace are special.

It’s probably just going to be called Everton Stadium. Just like they did with the “New White Hart Lane”. It’s now just called the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

The bit about Hamden park being the largest stadium before the Maracanã stadium is not true, the largest standing up capacity ever built was the great strahov stadium in Prague which held 250,000 people and the Maracanã stadium did not beat this.

Never rooted for England in my life, but given the rules for hosts with a 2-team safety net, and being a Northern Ireland man, we need the likes of England, Scotland and Wales to qualify.
Maybe all the UK teams are seeded teams during qualification as well?

Quite a few names of iconic English Premier League grounds that have not made the list but part of the reason for that is it's the European Championships rather than the World Cup which would have undoubtedly demanded six more quality arenas.

Re. Old Trafford, Uefa would probably prefer that spectators are kept dry in the event of rain.
It makes sense though since it allows more stadiums around England to be used, it's not really fair to host a Euros where most of the stadiums used are in London.

England alone could host a World Cup, but surely it would be shared with the rest of the UK and Ireland.
It’s not less impressive that London alone could host a Euro. Let’s count the stadiums: Wembley, West Ham, Tottenham, Arsenal, Chelsea, and even Twickenham could be considered if rugbiers were not so square about the Rugby’s Temple thing.
England couldn't host a World Cup in its own without considerable building costs at grounds where the seats would never be filled after the tournament. Even using grounds in the four other countries of GB and Ireland it would still be a little short. You need 14 stadiums with at least 40,000 seats and while theoretically they could come close to that, they'd never be allowed more than one in Liverpool and Manchester and more than two, at best three in London. Beyond those only Villa Park, St James' Park, the Stadium of Light and the extended King Power stadium would be compliant. That only gets you to 8 or 9 stadiums. Scotland could provide 2, Ireland 1 and Wales 1, taking it to 12 or 13. Next best candidates would be the Riverside and Elland Road, but it's quickly becoming not worth it.
In any case you need to heavily bribe FIFA and its paymasters to get the World Cup and after they were stung by the 2006 bid, England won't be back unless football is cleaned up.
London absolutely could not host a Euros on its own. Six stadiums isn't enough and besides, it's all the accommodation, transport and policing requirements that would make it impossible.
The RFU would have no problem hiring out Twickenham for football. There's just no need.

I would have liked the other four to host Euro 2028 without England. If only ten stadiums are needed: Belfast, Dublin, Cork, Galway, Aberdeen, Dundee, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Wrexham, Cardiff. That would put the tournament all over the four countries, with many beautiful places nearby supporters could sleep (and look around while they're there). No new or upgraded stadiums are likely to become white elephants: Aberdeen should have a bigger stadium anyway with their history; Galway, a brilliant tourist spot, could have a great Gaelic football stadium after; Wrexham could have a multi-purpose stadium to include rugby; Dundee could have a better stadium, maybe the supporters would be happy to share, I don't know but the quirky two stadiums nearby each other would be gone; Edinburgh should have a least one really big football stadium, although I'm less confident the Hibs and Hearts fans would be happy to share.
Alternatively, all three stadiums in Glasgow could be used, so could Murrayfield, even Cardiff City's stadium might already be big enough. It would have been good to just have all four automatically qualify and more intense and interesting qualifying groups for the others.
To host a Euros you need 9 stadiums: 1 stadium with 60,000 seats, 1 stadium (preferably 2) with 50,000 seats, 4 stadiums with 40,000 seats and 3 stadiums with 30,000 seats. So let's play it out - Cardiff; Murrayfield; Hampden, Aviva... we need another stadium with more than 40,000 seats. Cork's GAA ground holds 45,000 - but 24,000 of those are standing. To add 20,000 seats would cost many tens of millions of Euro.
Ok, next, three over 30,000. Belfast's Casement Park could make that. Then you're buggered. There's not the tiniest chance om the face of the planet of Aberdeen or Dundee building a 30,000 seat stadium. Aberdeen's average attendance is 17,000 and hasn't been above 20,000 in 50 years. Dundee Utd's average hasn't passed 11,000 in 30 years and has never reached 16,000. Dundee's attendances are even lower. You could talk about temporary seating but the cost, for a handful of games one summer, in a cost of living crisis and after 15 years of Tory austerity, would be stupid.
Wrexham... mate, there's more chance of a 30k seater being built on the moon.

Unless, for example Aberdeen expanded to 30,000 we wouldn't know if a new, better stadium would get more fans in later on. Any new or improved stadium wouldn't be a white elephant like has happened with stadiums that have hosted tournaments in other places. Rangers, Celtic, Hampden, Murryfield, Cardiff, Aviva, new one promised in Belfast..... that could have left just two if only nine are needed. I just think it's an insult to have ONE stadium only for the other four. Please leave the political parties out of the argument - football is popular enough to look after itself even when times are difficult regardless of who you think is to blame for the issues we have.

I just think either England should host it on their own (that would be easy - so many great stadiums) or the others should have a chance to see if between them they can put on a good tournament despite having a much smaller population between them than England. I think it's an insult having just ONE stadium each used. I'd like to see a tournament like the one I suggested, it could be great for tourism and the developed/ new stadiums would not be white elephants afterwards, I believe. Obviously the Republic of Ireland (like Northern Ireland, Scotland and Wales) can't host it on their own and there was a Scotland/ Ireland bid previously.

Anfield has a pitch length of 101 metres and Uefa requires 105 metres.
Ironically, the pitch length issue could have been addressed with the upgrade of the Anfield Road end but the club did nothing about it.

Celtic Park isn't great either, tbh. There are restricted views behind poles all along the back of the North Stand and massive pillars at the two south corners. Apart from the main stand the standard and facilities are extremely basic.
Murrayfield isn't great for football, the goals are stranded a long, long way from the end stands and the main, West Stand is miles from the pitch too.
FWIW I've been to Parkhead well over 100 times, maybe over 200, and I've had a Scotland season pass for Murrayfield for 8 years.
It would be great if Hampden could be renovated like Stuttgart's ground, but nobody's got the money for that.
