what is a best matching Antenna to suit? i am currently looking at a 7 in one, but is this enough and is there better?

Hi, both the RUTX50 and RUTC50 are compatible with 7-in-1 antennas such as the Poynting MIMO-4-17 & MIMO-3-17, the RUTC50 however would have 1 remaining WiFi connector on the router left unused due to both of the mentioned above antennas only having 2 WiFi cables, you could however use a “rubber duck” antenna provided with the router for this remaining connector. All router connectors on the RUTX50 would be used and match up perfectly with the above Poynting antennas.
The Poynting MIMO-4-19 is a 9-in-1 antenna that would connect to all connectors on the RUTC50, but this would have the opposite problem of having an antenna cable left unused due to the MIMO-4-19 having 4 WiFi cables but the RUTC50 router having only 3 WiFi connectors.
Dependent on how and where you wish to mount your antenna, you could consider a QuWireless QuSpot in which the router is placed inside the antenna enclosure. The AC50S antenna is made to house the RUTC50 and the AX50S is made to house the RUTX50. These antennas are made specifically for particular Teltonika Routers and would connect to all connectors on that router.

Hi Louise, good to see you. We haven't yet received the RUTC50 here at Mhz, planning to do an unboxing soon, in French of course. Enjoy your summer!

Can I pair the RUTC50 to my poynting MiMo 3 7in1, which has 2 WiFi connections, will WiFi 6 work?
Fab overview of the latest kit, thank you.

      The 7 in 1 has 4 x LTE connections and 2 x WiFi connections.
As you say, for proper wifi6 the C50 needs 3 wifi antenna. You could just use 2 of the wifi connections on the router but that would knock the speed back since it would now operate as a 2x2 instead of a 3x3. However, even as 2x2 it would still have the potential to go damn fast! Assuming the other end of the wifi is good enough!

@@louisebarrett5813 You can always use one of the factory delivered wifi antenna's as third antenna if the physical setup supports it.

I was waiting to buy the RUTC50 but the price is significantly higher at Solwise than the RUTX50 for little more.....

That really was the purpose of this video, to give you all the information as to whether it was worth the extra cost to you. Only you can decide that ;-)

Indeed, excellent point. I have the RUTX50 and the wifi isn't too great compared to other 802.1ac routers, so if you need high performance wifi or need IPSEC on the box the RUTC50 MIGHT be worth the money, but if not , usually the 5G reception is the limiting factor. I get up to 700mbps on my RUTX50 using it as a simple router and I think the CPU can go higher. I might try bridge some day but since my mobile provider doesn't allow inbound sessions I'd rather use Teltonika's RMS function if needed.
5G wise, it's an absolutely great device. [EDIT] I use the 5G Combo MIMO antenna (PR1KC640) from Teltonika , it's much cheaper than the poyntings and works fine
