Roadtrip to Canada I: First Day Out and Van is Malfunctioning

Hello, everyone. We are Sean and Pia with our three chihuahuas: Chewbacca, BobaFett and Bail Organa (with little angels Yoda and Jabba)
On this episode 66, we are headed up to Canada for two weeks to see family and different places. We later on find that our power is not working and we do not know how to fix it.

Hey guys I know the last year has been so difficult with the loss of the pups we have been together over 40 years and we have lost 4 together and it is always so difficult. I love how you have the paws and how you keep them close to you always. I am amazed how much you are like us we know a new puppy would never replace our ones we lost but we have so much love to give and they give us so much love that we always get another baby eventually. We also love having a pack we feel it is so good for them to have each other not just us. Isn't funny how every single fur baby is different we have had a total of 7 and everyone of them have had different personalities, likes and dislikes. Bail is adorable she looks a little like our Minnie even though we have yorkies they do look a little alike with the cute coloring of fur and faces. We would have a great puppy party hopefully we see you next time your in Oregon we love that whole Bend area. Yes the fires get worse every year it is so difficult to deal with and so sad many trails and areas have been ruined. I must say a great thing about social media is the fabulous groups we meet especially when trouble shooting on RV and automobile issues. Safe Travels always so wonderful to see you!

Thanks so much and totally agree, it the pack mentality for us! We have also found a unique tribe in the RV/Class B community and it's always growing. Can't wait to meet up a group event or concert! First round is on us :)

Dang! Sorry to see about the electrical problems in this episode! We have been lucky with the Volta system in our Travato that we rent out, but we have the older system.
The new system with the screen has had a decent amount of reported issues (hence why storyteller and Volta parted ways 😂). Our buddy had the same issue is his storyteller and a few travato owners.
Did it end up being just the 2nd alternator gone bad? Or just the wiring or the fuse? Possible could be a firmware issue too with the voltage flex system, I know that was a reported issue.
We did have our wire from the 2nd alternator actually get shredded and I had to fix that at one point in our Travato, but it was because of how they ran the wiring in the wheel well.
Those fires were rough. We had some when we were out that way and it was brutal, but those ones during your video were insane.
Keep us posted on how everything went you two! Sorry we haven’t been on your videos lately. It’s been a crazy ton of events, but getting caught up now. Cannot wait to catch up with you all soon! 💯

Wow! We are so jealous of you guys :) we are planning a trip up north but its going to be towards the end of summer. That's a bummer about the electrical problem - that stuff unfortunately happens at the worst times - hope you work it out soon. Too bad about the smoke too - it sounds like you have a good plan to get around it. Despite the issues it looks like you are off to a great trip we look forward to more!
