Per official guidelines, as shared by Irish Mirror, in order to qualify for such a record, one has to scream at 80 decibels or over for the entire duration of their recorded screaming effort.😊

To get the correct timer on how long his last breath is in this song, you need to set the timer when he takes the last inhalation. Yes, he holds the last high note on 'steel' for a bit over 30 seconds, but from he inhales, and starts with 'and.....' before he goes directly to 'steel' and until he stops, is actually precisely 32,40 seconds.
I found a website 12 metal singers timed for longest scream the longest from 12 was 24.4sec, so Dan beats them all. The longest scream recorded was 56sec but he did exercises before plus no singing & his scream got really screechy & wavey. If you time Dan from "and..... It's over 32sec. Doesn't seem humanly possible!
