All this time I thought he was buried in one of the cemeteries in Southern California. It’s nice to see people remembering him still. Loved the series Gomer Pyle USMC. Thanks for posting this information. Appreciate the effort you made in finding his grave. ❤🙏
I am glad I found your channel. Thank you for investing time to research Mr. Sutton. Frank Sutton is a true hero as well. He was a decorated soldier in World War II.. RIP SIR 🙏🏽 🇺🇸❤️
I live in Clarksville, I will visit his grave now that I know where it is at. I have seen his childhood house in Clarksville. The house where he grew up is not far from the cemetery. Thanks for posting this.
It's hard to believe that Frank Sutton died just 5 years after Gomer Pyle ended. Gomer Pyle ended in 1969 and Frank Sutton died in 1974. Frank was just 50-51 years old when he died. My understanding is that he died while rehearsing for a theater production somewhere. A heart attack. Unbelievable. I watch Gomer Pyle just about everyday. Thank you Frank for the memories. I enjoy watching Frank Sutton's other acting work before Gomer Pyle. For Twilight Zone fans, Frank played an agent for Dale Robertson's character in the episode "The Dummy." I hope you were a Christian Frank.

I liked Gomer Pyle USMC. Frank Sutton was only two years older than I am now. The character Sargent Carter was from Wichita, Kansas and I used to live in Wichita for 12 years.

Do you happen to know the address or how I can find it? I would love to see it!
Gomer Pyle reminds me of the comic strip Beetle Bailey, with Gomer as Beetle, and Sgt. Carter as Sgt. Snorkel.
