Oh yeah, soundcheck/rehearsal/jam videos are always interesting. Do post more, brother. And that main snare sound is chef's kiss.
Thanks so much! I wish I could do this every gig to be honest, just to show you all what the processes are like from gig to gig. But lots of times I can’t record. But will when I can! 🙏🏽 thanks for the encouragement
There is no one who has your sound. It’s just perfect to me.
Brent! Blessings, it’s been a good journey discovering myself and my sound! I’m grateful that you are appreciative of it 🙏🏽
That snare sounds like a shot gun! Love it!🔥🔥🔥
🤘🏽💥😅
Awesome video and always amazing sounding drums Haze! Keep up the great work! Being a female drummer guys always wonder how I tune my drums so well. I tell them that I too tune to my ears and they are always surprised. Love ya, brother!❤❤
Blessings! Thank you for that. And yes, let them knowww! Haha. Let’s continue to enjoy the journey! 🙏🏽 Love!!

Wow!.
Your drums sound so good, Remo should use your videos for their advertising.
“That Remo Sound” featuring you my man!
Haha! That would be dope! Thanks a lot 🙏🏽
Oh yeah 🇧🇷
Awesome, so glad to see your star rising. You're a great player and your videos make me miss "gigging large".
Lately I've been playing the smaller clubs and theaters.
Blessings Bill! I appreciate you for tuning in! And man, as long as you’re doing what you love that’s what matters yuhknow! I have no doubt you can get back out there and play big shows if you wanted! 🙏🏽
Trend on G 😎💪🏾😇🤘🏾🔥
🤘🏽🤘🏽
Question: Did you ever consider using a drum dial for tuning I've found (After 25 years) that it cuts tuning time in half and they are always "Pitch Perfect" in 1/2 the time of tuning by ear! Just a suggestion...
toms sound high
But thats your style
Yup! Tom tones vary by gig
👍🏻 you look nice bro
sound is incredible..your playing is even more incredible, super creative and tasty!! for which Artist did you play there?
Blessings thank you! I was playing for Leela James here
38:08 the splash 💀💀💀😂😂😂
Man 😂😂😂 sometimes I think I tighten things down tight…. But quickly get humbled 😂😂
Keep doing good 👍
Will do! Thanks
They all sound good but that floor tom kills!!!! 16" 18"????
Thanks!!! 16”
Question here for sound engineers or anyone who knows, while doing sound check for toms, do you prefer to have the snares off to hear the toms only or snare on to take it in consideration, as it's going to be on for 98% of the show probably.
Its probably just a detail but im curious...
I’ve never heard an engineer ask me to turn the snares off while checking drums. It’s like you said, the snares are on for a majority of the show (most times the whole show in my case) so I’m also curious to see if any engineers ask for snares to be turned off ever
❤top🎉🎉
16 minute period to tune 2 drums
Man you should do a video on how you tune your snare, how tight do you have your bottom side?
I generally have my bottom snare head tuned tighter than the top. I have a course out on my site www.hazeamaze.com and a short version on fine tuning my drums here on TH-cam
Do u tune ur bottom head to the same note as the top head
Only on my 8” & 12” drums
Is that Karel Rogers on bass?
Yup
Are those DW or PDP?
DW
@@Haze_amaze_ I didnt think PDP sounded that good. 🫵🏼
DW
Was it a solo performance
No
Did not know DWs need so much tuning like a budget 500$ kit😂🙈
@@alexv5786 all drums need tuning
What’s the main ?
DW Collectors Maple! 14x5.5 I believe
@@Haze_amaze_ my bad lol your crash
I was always taught not to have snares on while tuning.....no?
@@lanceschultz7132 everyone has their own tuning methods. If that’s your thing, then alrighty! I tune my drums off of the kit before I have them set up as a drumset. Then when I put them together I fine tune them. Because tuning always changes when the whole kit comes together. But whatever works best for you, definitely continue to do that!
@Haze_amaze_ i wasnt trying to be a smart ass, i was curious if there was a reason. Like, to see if certain toms activated snares or something. I apologize if i came off like a jerk man. Not my intention....
@@lanceschultz7132 oh no, I didn’t take any offense at all. Or in a “smart ass” way lol. I was saying that if it works, stick with it. And voicing that there are a ton of different ways to tune. I didn’t want to come off like any sort of way either, but we can only interpret what we think someone’s tone is when it’s through message lol. But in all, I didn’t think you werr being like that, and I wasn’t either. Much Respect!
You need a drum tech lol
YES, I do!
