I'm trying to write a fraction such as ([n1]+[n2]^2)/[n2]. But it doesn't seem that you can include random variables when using the equation editor. I don't want me fractions to appear as a/b. I want them the numerator to be directly above the denominator. Do you know if this is possible? When I use the equation editor and enclose variable names with square brackets, canvas doesn't seem to understand.
Good question! I don't believe Canvas currently allows for that, unfortunately. I think each question is generated separately (allowing you to randomize the order of the questions, if desired).
I am an instructional designer and needed to understand this feature better. Your explanation is one of the best I have seen!
Very well explained, thanks so much!

Hi, what if I want to reuse the randomly generated number in the next question? What should I do?
