Not only is this a wonderful time capsule to when Pat finally started to get through to the guys about the magic of the Souls games, but also a funny journey seeing the game being changed over time through big updates, such as invalidating the only time Faith builds were ever viable in the entire Fromsoft catalogue.
I always like the bit with pat telling wollie not to sell items, when wollie has clearly lots of dupes of swords and stuff, compared to bloodborne when they just clean out the inventory selling almost everything early on

Having watched the whole thing again, I find myself so ticked off by a few things. First, Pats backseat gaming is crazy, I understand that he doesn't want his friend to miss out on cool stuff, but when he's just straight up telling woolie about traps or upcoming enemies, its ridiculous. Second is Woolie being the SLOWEST person in the universe, and spending time just standing there letting an enemy swing instead of getting a few hits in here and there. Even by the time he gets to the final boss, he's still letting Vendrick take swings and then he just stands there and lets him recover.

Man. Wollie had some serious mind goblin problems from time to time. It completely screws with his gameplay. Sometimes being competent and sometimes overthinking everything and being super passive because of that. I'm happy we had Pat there basically telling him to "Just go.", but his Mind Goblins just keep him from listening to Pat.

And then he starts to make Woolie think he's the problem. It bummed me out so I had to stop. I tried to watch the DS3 as well but Woolie starts giving Patt a hard time and he can't take the heat and gets defensive. It's brutal.

Seening this run is always a treat, and reminds me of the progression i took in dark souls 2 wich was from "Tanky Durable Boi" to "Glass Cannon destroyer of worlds" Plus Woolies overall evolution from Faith Caster boi into Big Sword with handicap (shield) into "Black Swordsman" was fun to watch. I will say it is abit of a shame we never saw him go for a more Paladin Build or go for a Hexer build, so he could have acess to all magic and fuck around. 1st run.: - Made a high str/dex charatcer with a shield for defense and claymore - Upgraded all of my gear and armor at one point - Switched the shield for stamina one cause i think it stacked with weed ring - dropped the shield entirely and focused on rolling 2nd run.: - Made a Hexer cause i wanted to try every spell - Made a dark longsword , didnt bother lvling hp, only focused Int/Fth/Adp/End - Only dodge and rarely used spells , wich lead to me using moslty utility spells and very few buff or dmg spells - barely upgraded my gear and focused the staffs and the dark longsword 3rd run (ongoing).: - Made a Faith oriented charatcer, with a heide ligthing infused spear who was somehow more squishier and more powerfull then the hexer
The other comp is good too, but that one has music playing over it constantly which gets kinda annoying. I greatly prefer this one if only for that reason. Good work!

One of the most frustrating moments at the 4.5 hour mark where Wooly is trying desperately to explain his position while Pat refuses to stop stonewalling because he's afraid of losing the "I'm right" position.
Lots of pats issues with the world and story, flabbergasted at the idea the world of DS1, especially Anor Londo would even be mentioned, important, or especially exist, is really stupid in the face of that shit just APPEARING VERBATIM IN DS3. And he certainly had no problems with it there.
This is one of my favorite LPs, and it's the one that got me into Souls. Man, though... the Iron Keep arc is as painful to watch now as it was then. There' was SO much salt between them that day, shit was awkward as hell.

pat was... kind of an asshole this whole playthrough. like i totally get being caught up in the moment and saying some smarmy things from time to time, but there are moments where he shits on woolie for like, not having as good an eyesight as him? idk maybe im interpreting it weird?
Not really, hes just very passionate and forgets sometimes that Woolie never played a Souls game before. Plus his "isms" come through a lot

in all the dark souls LPs Pat has these defining moments of him being a real prick, but it was really odd that woolie didnt see that brazier exploding

Lots of pats issues with the world and story, flabbergasted at the idea the world of DS1, especially Anor Londo would even be mentioned, important, or especially exist, is really stupid in the face of that shit just APPEARING VERBATIM IN DS3. And he certainly had no problems with it there.

This is one of my favorite LPs, and it's the one that got me into Souls. Man, though... the Iron Keep arc is as painful to watch now as it was then. There' was SO much salt between them that day, shit was awkward as hell.
