In story 6.5 these were regular servants summoned that represented nameless soldiers from different era. They all gang together under different well known rulers. They also start listening Guda stories from different singularities and wishing they could have been there.
Well I actually would prefer if they wouldn't, they may have nice animations but they still are literally generic representations of each class rather than actual characters.

You nailed it using that Background Music. A nostalgic music born representing the classic Fate/Stay Night Anime and the video showing the Human form of the Classic Class Cards, which were born on Fate/Stay Night too, pretty cool combination.
Honestly I'd very much be down for these being used as some sort of make-your-own-servant thing where you can swap in all the various generic-type skills, maybe with some slightly spicier ones coming as event rewards. Maybe instead of being gacha-reliant they're actually an expansion of like, the rare prism shop, with a weekly rotation of said skills and different configurations of card-types for them (presumably 'unusual' ones, like 'an all-arts berserker' or 'an all-quick caster' would be more uncommon). Not sure how they'd implement different NP effects though.
That would be awesome! I believe Granblue does something similar with the mc where you have a set signature skill according to the class and you can equip the rest. You unlock better classes depending on your account level and running special quests, the class itself has a mastery level too. It probably would translate well to fate.
They got some nice animations, in fact I kinda would argue out of most of the npc enemies we got they have some of the best animations. Only place that had better was maybe Olympus but yeah.
They're so cool! I figured that the enemies were representing the class card portraits some time after traum released since i noticed the similarities in their designs. But then watching this video i found out about the rider, assassin, and berserker and they look cool! Yes, i agree assassin needs animation update. Assassin's attacks were boring imo besides the sound design

The Class Card mobs remind me of the Prisma Illya Class Cards. The Saber one in particular reminds me of the one Shirou EMIYA fought and killed on his quest to avenge Sakura and get back Miyu. However, they also seem to be what Da Vinci envisions whenever she and other Chaldea characters talk about Chaldea's Shadow Servant system. Remember in Shimousa how they used that Chaldea Shadow Servant system to explain away how we can still use our own Servants?
From what I gather Servants are deified by humanity after their death and enables them to exist on the throne of heroes because humanity remembers them for their deeds in life. I speculate that the class card servants reached a stage where they’ve regressed from being heroic spirits due to their deeds and records of their lives having been lost or forgotten by humanity. They now exist in a form of limbo, greater than a mere wraith but have descended from the status of a true heroic spirit due to humanity having no recollection of their lives or deeds. I think the only reason they haven’t just faded away is due to the root having a record of their lives and accomplishments and is perhaps one of the only possible methods of restoring them to their original glory.

They honestly have done More than some servants in the story and like ishkaders np filled with heroes they can handle hassasn enemies.
Y'know they could be a fun little gimmick to the gameplay. Like rolling a class card servant in the FP Gacha, but only being able to use them once before they burn and you have to roll again. Dunno, maybe that could work as a potential hard mode for players who might want it. Could be a bit fun to mess around with.
I don't like the idea of disposables especially if we have to put in a lot of effort to level and upgrade servants. Rather they be permanent but starless so their stats will be weaker than most servants but they could make up for it in their skills.

Un-updated Launch Servants on suicide watch when compared to these guys. Some early updates as well. Now I'm overdosing on copium, hoping that the Lancer is actually a part of OG Cú's animation update we'll get for Anniversary.
The second I saw them in the cutscenes I figured out pretty quickly what they were meant to represent Also it almost feels like this is the official answer to what happened on CN when they got lb3
@@alexanderticonuwu7591 when lb3 got released on CN they censored all the new Chinese servants with art which was clearly Photoshopped from the servant cards and censored the names by calling them "Class#X (X being the number of that servant's code in the game files)
@@Tfbrave the lb3 release wasn't when that happened. The censorship of many of the Chinese Servant's names and some of their designs happened last year, whereas LB3 came out years ago in CN. The reason it happened is because China began massively cracking down on censorship within video games last year, allegedly in order to maintain public morals but it's really because some of Pooh Bear's biggest political opponents have their hands all over major chinese game companies so he is getting all up in their grill in order to shake up his rival's biggest money pot.
Love the editing mr Green these trash mobs have such excellent animations, I would not be sad if we got similar animations for the various day one servants with no animation updates where it fit.... except for the assassin, that one was sad.
These smooth animations made me realize how badly Emiya, Cu, Medea or Medusa aged. They were updated way ahead of time and it shows. Yes, don't you dare deny it Honako. Cu may be your all-time favorite servant and he may be stronger than one Kiyohime buster card, but even our resident snake princess has got better animations than him :p
Archer and Lancer are the coolest IMO. So refreshing to see an actual archer represent the archer class. Also that metal fedora on the lancer is so cool

I just feel they'll be on the right side (of the screen) helping us in the future. Because regular playable servant will turn left handed when they become enemy (on the left side of the screen), those new type of enemy will do the otherwise, become right handed when they become our allies, except Saber,

The assassin just came out and already needs an animation update
Y'know they could be a fun little gimmick to the gameplay. Like rolling a class card servant in the FP Gacha, but only being able to use them once before they burn and you have to roll again.
Dunno, maybe that could work as a potential hard mode for players who might want it. Could be a bit fun to mess around with.
I don't like the idea of disposables especially if we have to put in a lot of effort to level and upgrade servants. Rather they be permanent but starless so their stats will be weaker than most servants but they could make up for it in their skills.
They would likely have to come leveled for that though, like have them have a max level of 1 but have the stats of a level 45 or so unit
@@yammoto148 Or starless but you can select skills for them from the catalogue of skills of the servants of the same class that you already have, and rename them as long as there's no servant with the same name as your chosen name.

Well moon cancer is just unique in that regard since it was custom tailored for a specific servant.

What happened on CN?
@@alexanderticonuwu7591 when lb3 got released on CN they censored all the new Chinese servants with art which was clearly Photoshopped from the servant cards and censored the names by calling them "Class#X (X being the number of that servant's code in the game files)
@@Tfbrave the lb3 release wasn't when that happened. The censorship of many of the Chinese Servant's names and some of their designs happened last year, whereas LB3 came out years ago in CN.
The reason it happened is because China began massively cracking down on censorship within video games last year, allegedly in order to maintain public morals but it's really because some of Pooh Bear's biggest political opponents have their hands all over major chinese game companies so he is getting all up in their grill in order to shake up his rival's biggest money pot.

these trash mobs have such excellent animations, I would not be sad if we got similar animations for the various day one servants with no animation updates where it fit.... except for the assassin, that one was sad.

These smooth animations made me realize how badly Emiya, Cu, Medea or Medusa aged. They were updated way ahead of time and it shows.
Yes, don't you dare deny it Honako. Cu may be your all-time favorite servant and he may be stronger than one Kiyohime buster card, but even our resident snake princess has got better animations than him :p
I would love a scenario where you would escape the prison using the 7 class card servants as a forced support after u bonded with them in the prison.

Archer and Lancer are the coolest IMO. So refreshing to see an actual archer represent the archer class. Also that metal fedora on the lancer is so cool

I really like their designs, and the assassin that strongly based on Hassans. Also are these new normal enemies or they're as strong as Olympus soldiers? I really liked the design for the Knight Classes too!

It's wild how even the default Saber shoots huge laser beams from his sword.
Naw. Sword beams are clearly a Saber tradition, just like how the Archer is an archer in a class made of archers.

Nah thats too consuming mana wise. Unless any master has Ritsuka level mana summoning too many servants can outright kill them due to mana drain

These guys would be fine if you bring only one or two at a time and they wouldn't suck up too much Mana

I love how Rider class card servant needs a mount to differentiate from others
if archer had some melee attack animations too like dashing into you then leaping back to his position and attacks you from range would look badass
when enemy units get fancy animations but you're still stuck with caster balls and stock animations.
I just feel they'll be on the right side (of the screen) helping us in the future. Because regular playable servant will turn left handed when they become enemy (on the left side of the screen), those new type of enemy will do the otherwise, become right handed when they become our allies, except Saber,
