Even though blue and purple are my favorite colors, I think pink is the way to go for this quilt.

Before I met my husband I would go camping with a group of friemds. We all did quilting, embroidery, and cross stitch. We called ourselves The Stitch and Bitch club.

I was a camper. But not any more. My husband would set me up in our screen house outside. He even put a rug on the ground. Took my little feather weight. Everything was cut and ready to sewn. Miss those days.

My mother is also downsizing and this fabric is some of what she has given me, I know that she bought this fabric locally and it was in the 80's. Lord knows what she was going to do with it since she has never quilted. I'm glad she DIDN'T make clothing for me out of it.

I would use the Pink as the backing and the light blue as the binding.
While I fall into the not-liking blue camp, I think the darker blue would best suit the back of the Words to Live By quilt! Happy Anniversary!
Happy Anniversary. I am one of those people too...I have the same difficulty when I get a new prescription. Takes a long time for my eyes to adjust. Pink is my choice.
