  • WHY IS MOROCCO SO RICH
Morocco has a long history and a culture that has absorbed millennia of customs. It bears the stamp of multiple historical civilizations, resulting in a breathtaking diversity and complexity that can still be observed in the streets of its cities and among its people. Morocco is a North African country with a population of approximately 32 million people. The population is increasing at a pace of 1.067 percent. The population of Morocco is made up of Berbers, Sunni Muslims of Arab ancestry, and Arab Berbers. Morocco has a population density of 72 persons per square meter. There are three ethnic groups in the country.
The Arab-Berber ethnic group makes up 99.1 percent of the total population, followed by a group that includes people who aren't Arab-Berber and Jews, which makes up 0.7 percent, and Jews, who make up 0.2 percent. The country features a diverse religious landscape, with Islam accounting for 99 percent of the population, Christianity accounting for 1 percent, and Jews accounting for roughly 6,000 individuals.
Moroccans speak Arabic as their official language. In government, business, and diplomacy, French and Berber dialects are frequently utilized. In this moderate Muslim country, ethnic groups tolerate one another. Morocco is a key contributor to African economic affairs and one of the continent's most prosperous nations. Some of the country's food is grown for local consumption. However, due to the semi-arid climate, agriculture is unreliable, and the country must rely on food imports. Moroccan cuisine is the Mediterranean, consisting primarily of fruits, grains, and vegetables. Animal foods are not commonly consumed.

Since I think your channel is worthy of support, I'd like to share my opinion:
      - Generic stock footage: Less is more. It's getting overhand these days on youtube. It adds no value and makes your content indistinguishable from any other stock footage channel. No need to show us a clip of a fat man measuring his belly. We hear what you say and are able to follow it. My biggest pet peeve: Generic people in an office looking young, acadamic and full of creativity. Alternative: If you dont have your own footage, get NON-generic, specific footage. Your footage doesnt have to literally match your words. Unless you are trying to win over an audience with the average age of 4 years.
      - Music: Less is more. Especially dont go for the poor man's Hans Zimmer dramatic synth violine. I feel abused and quickly annoyed. This are infotainment clips to my understanding and since this isnt linear television from 1985 there really is no need to try to make your audience feel feelings from feely music.

Data mentioned in this video is very outdated nd in some instances is completely wrong or misleading. Most audiences of this video are Moroccans and very well aware of their history, so when westerners are trying to be the authority in the knowing the country(as btw old videos are generally ignorant at best or deliberately kin descending or flat out racist), they should humble themselves and admit they don’t know much and advise viewers to find out for themselves one of the most intriguing and fascinating culture of Morocco unlike any on this planet.!

The part where you said animal foods are not commonly consumed is false. Lamb is common throughout the whole country as we eat couscous which contains it almost every friday, and tagines which are also very popular and a staple in Moroccan gastronomy include some type of meat. In costal regions they consume lots of fish as well.

Beautiful video, thank you but I need to correct some errors; for instance Moroccan food, which is indeed part of the Mediterranean diet, supposedly would not contain lots of meat. This is not correct. Moroccan food, like the rest of the mediterranean diet, contains besides ingredients like veggies, olive oil and fruits also lots of meat and fish. In fact its very normal to eat meat every day. You cant imagin Moroccan dishes like Tajines and couscous without meat (or fish) Its impossible. Further while the Moroccan economy is based on agriculture (with the production of wheat, barley, Sugar, potatoes, and olives as the main crops produced among others) the cotton production has declined extremely. This is because Morocco is hoping to turn its textile industry into a global market leader by 2035 by adopting a new strategy, called “Dayem Morocco,” which will adopt eco-friendly habits, including recycling and reuse of waste. This strategy is focused on maintaining, consolidating, diversifying, and conquering new markets such as North America and northern Europe.
