Coming back to this, nostalgic.... the first video I saw before the EU release of BDO and I was so hyped.... closed beta hyped me even more
Loud collision effects with child like screaming. That's what I want in a game.
I hate it, it's not so bad in blade and soul thankfully. I can get over the art style and shit but that permanent screaming would drive me nuts.

I'd lose my mind having to listen to a little girl yell, "HeeeYah!" over and over.
I still HATE the various sound effects that they have utilised for whenever you hit a mob. It is soo annoying most of the time and totally breaks the immersion for me.

Shane Bovell At least the hit-sounds make it a little more reactive, but I know what you mean. What I find much more annoying are the sounds of the character whenever he/she/it does ANYTHING. It's okay when my grandfather does that, but when my videogame character goes HIYAAA HED HAAAAAAA YEAHHH HIYAA OH YAAHIYAAAA in 2 seconds, I'm seriously thinking about turning the chacter voice off, which is retarded 'cause it's part of the game and decreases the immersion.

it's a korean mmo, immersion doesn't exists in the korean concept, like archeage,only grinding and farming, bikini and santa claus costumes on the store...
The graphics is really good, but animation, like in most korean mmo are like "beat 'em up " gamges style of old time.

I love the flashy spell effects....still, got nothing on Dragon's Dogma, though. I wish all magic in every video game was like that.
the slow mo when using the stronger abilities is realy awesome
Besides the ya yaaaaaa, i've never seen a game with caster (wizard/witch/sorcerer/ whatever) gameplay look that powerful.
you can try looking for dragon's dogma sorcerer spells. that is still my top tier spellcasting gameplay.

I don't know much about BDO, but it just seems like the game would probably be more fun if the enemies fought back.
I will still get this game when its released to the west, but I truly want to ask Pearl Abyss and Daum: wtf are u doing? What is your goal? The game had so much content that could've flourished, and looking at what the devs accomplished so far, they had the ability to do it. They have broken more than a few promises, and they've never went above and beyond with the ones they did fulfill. The glaring issues are seemingly brushed over, never with the same care they put into creating all the graphical effects.
Don't get me wrong I'm still looking forward to this game, as there are still many good points about BDO, but Pearl Abyss and Daum, please step it up. The hype is maxed out already, and as it seems now, there will be quite a few consumers that will be disappointed. Many will love it, but you could still make some of those haters like it too if you could improve on those problems that have been frustrating ppl since the CBTs
From a visual point of view, this looks absolutely awesome! XDDD Currently, my favorite MMORPG is Vindictus, my main being a sorceress as well. Definitely gotta try this out! :D

omenakookos that's true, Vindictus is laggy AF. I don't know, I can kind of ignore it... more or less...

I'm not sure about this game yet. I like to have full smooth control over my character, do you feel like this game let you do that? At times the spells look like they float on the screen it's weird for me. Maybe I need to actually play it first.

how can you spam lightning storm? it got a 12 sec cd at minimum but you spam it with 0 cd. how? cheat? or change since this vid or?
same with the spam of multiple magic missiles, which doesn't make sense either since it also got cd. how can you do this?

because he was spamming a skill with CD like no CD i think Light Storm was called that skill but i dont remember.

was thinking of playing this game so i searched for a game play. and i got this. the sound is horrendous, from the hey yahhhhh hey yeah to the skill hitting the mob, i think lightning does not sound like that or whatever skill should not sound like that.
everytime i see this game there's so much that makes me want to play and so much that turns me off.
Hello, Steparu, is it possible for you to make a Wizard/Witch guide or something similar?. I'm definitely going to play Wizard/Witch but I'm not sure which skills should I level up since I don't know if you can have separate builds for PvE/PvP. I want to focus myself on PvP but I don't want to be a waste on PvE.

How come your witch skill don't have the red and blue line effect. You know those 3D movie back in the old day that have red and blue line effect. Every time I use lightning it hurt my eye I was wondering if I can turn it off somehow?

The camera shakes when your char being attacked or something like pushed back will be good.
Looks like it could be fun,m is there an option to always see the enemy healthbars? i would get frustrated not seeing on screen how many targets are close to me.

Ugh, the mana pot usage is real. Are they relatively cheap to buy/make? Or will it be like some games where being a magic class means you spend a ton of money on pots?

Wow I though no MMORPG could beat Vindictus action combat (not even Tera or Aion). I'm amazed this is even better than Vindictus.

I'm from Eastern Europe and I live in the States (West).
I do notice a lot of people bitching about Grinding in US.
I LOVE grind but that's just me. Sometimes if the MMO has too much Quests and running round I pass on it. This game combines many things including Grinding and makes everything exiting.
I ASSURE you the rest of the World LOVES grind, for exp, for that awesome rare item, or for QUESTS you still have to grind. Where I'm from, people play only grind-kind of games. Aside from Linage II etc.
Westerners should stick with Quests only games.(if there are any)
NeonAstral It has nothing at all to do with region. I've seen more than PLENTY of other people complaining about grinding. Prime example: Destiny.
Loz8900 Well, to be fair here you can't really compare Acton FPS MMO to a Korean 3D RPG, mechanics are different, battle is Action-LIKE but not hack and slash, so in this case I'd compare it to games like RR instead, where Destiny is like an MMO Borderlands. In FPS you are expected to grind, after all, what are all the CSGO and COD ppl are doing day to day?
Besides I'm talking for first hand experience, it has A LOT to do from region to region, if you don't find this info legit - Travel, or just do statistical research. You'll find China and Korea on other end of spectrum, then Eastern Europe is somewhere in between US and China in terms of preferences in MMOs, just saying.

Steparu, how much higher level than the mobs are you? Because you just ran through them and only one or two seemed to care.
kirikagure These monsters are level 53-56 red name to purple name usually monsters are higher level than you if it's white name it's same level and green is lower lvl.

Well all i can remember was that i was patrolling this area with my buddies while this little red thing came and start screaming hiyaaah for some reason i swung my axe blindly then i felt a sudden burning sensation and I was thrown in the air hit the ground hard my body couldn't move.
The lightning effects are bugged in bdo no? i do the down + F and then RMB and the effects do not appear, also the RMB after the fireball :(
Want to try this game out. Looking at videos to figure out what to play. 5secs of "that" sound is a hard no.

Not too heavely p2w in korea. version. Yo dont need the ''contribution'' points as much as in archeage. you dont need to pay any real money to get something you want. The only thing that makes it p2w is the fact that you can sell cash shop items for way 2 much money wich makes no sense to me. Still a great game, check it out if you like it
