I'm 41 and yep, we had it best. I think there's some merit that the hyper nostaligia for us is stronger because we're Xennials. An analog childhood and a digital adulthood. Most anyone older or younger didnt have to compare the two.

Your generation and the early 90s are very nostalgic. I can't get enough of those old toys. It helped some 80s toys were passed down to me, so I got to partake in a great generation of toys 😍 they had no qualms on spooky weird toys back then.

This is so super nostalgic for me watching this. I am seeing my entire 80's life relived in one musuem. This would be an amazing musuem to visit.
However, I saw my buddy, and my mom spent a lot of money on him, and I watched childsplay and I threw him out. She was so pissed but it freaked me out! Yet I kept my pet monster, go figure!

The Kinnikuman manga spawned an anime series in 1983, produced by Toei Animation and broadcast on the Nippon Television Network (NTV). The series ran until 1986, for a total of 137 episodes, and even branched into seven theatrical films. As was so often the case in the 1980s, the cartoon also had an accompanying toy line for kids. I also remember having the chicken mcnugget Halloween toys when I was a kid back in the '90s.

  • @starleet2001

For someone of my age, these are not vintage, but still cool to see. I believe the 60s and 70s was the best era for toys mainly because it was pre electronic age and kids could use their imaginations completely.

I hear that...blocks, LEGO (in the days before each set had a theme, so you could build whatever you wanted), Colorforms, Spirograph, Fisher-Price little people, Lite-Brite, Play-Doh Fun Factory, Johnny West, Spin Art...just to name a few. It was a great time to be a kid.

Enjoyed this too Jacob it was very interesting and unique to see such an array of these characters and spooky items. I loved the batman statue I have always been a big fan of batman I remember my mom bought me a remote controled car when batman forever was shown back in the 90s I'm a big 90s fan since I was born in 92. I watched on TH-cam the 90s commercials and stuff we had in the 90s I reminiscing about it. Awesome memories growing up in that time and I'm excited for what God will do these remaining years that are ahead for me. I thought about the statue it is crazy people won't agree with certain things everyone gets caught up in one idea and someone else don't agree with it or has another idea or belief that they can't agree on for a resolution. It made me think whatever superhero you have we all can agree on it we all have a different superhero mine is batman it can bring us together and we all can relate to it. Stop disagreeing with things work together come together love and respect your friends your family your neighbor we all need more of that every day.

A fun episode for sure! I am 45 and think our generation had such a wide variety of toys and collectibles. We also really sought to hunt down and buy so much, or our parents did rather. 😆 Today's kids stare at apps and mobile video screens. Beast Wars Transformers were a bit after my run of collecting Transformers but I def remember Longrack (The giraffe Transformer)! You can find him for sale for about $100 today! M.A.S.K. was one of my favorite toys to collect, I had everything. I dig how this exhibit was skewed to more horror-themed stuff.

I think every generation gets nostalgic about the toys of their childhood. I grew up in the 50s and 60s, and fondly remember my Barbie dolls (unrealistically big boobs and small waist; you bought one doll, and themed outfits separately) and my printed metal dollhouse with its molded plastic furniture. My brothers had their original, jointed, G.I. Joes, Flintstones and Untouchables play sets, and the first versions of Hot Wheels, and we all liked the Incredible Edibles. I love it when you visit toy museums. I always look for my old favorites. Keep on bookin’!

You know what I think was a huge factor, our parents left us alone. There's some trend in parenting that you need to be up your kid's butt 24/7. My mother never played with me. MY generation had the best toys! Schwinn banana seat bikes, steel street skates, Chatty Kathy, Betsy Wetsy, Viewmaster, Barbie & Ken and...wait for it...Gilbert Chemistry sets WITH Radium! Test for blood AND blow up the neighborhood!

I’m a child of the 1960 and 1970s but we are nostalgic. We had the first video game (Pong), cable for the first time, cartoons and other classic shows, Barbies and Hot Wheels for the first time, cool games ( Life, Kurplunk, Clue, Green Ghost, Dark Shadows, ESP, etc.). We had life sized dolls that walked with you, dolls that drove a battery operated car, planes that flew with gas, etc. We also made the toys you and our kids enjoyed in the 1980s and 1990s.

Jacob the Carpetbagger sir Im need you to put some Respect on Freddy Kruger's Name. 😆😆 Everytime you speak on Freddy you put him in such a bad light. I mean come on all he did was kill some Teenagers in their Dreams 😆😆 and couple of children. But he did it unique ways and hilarious Commentary. And Im not advocating for him because one of a huge Elm Street Fan or Two I love Robert Englund 😂😂. JUST SAYING!! 😁

I had a Teddy Ruxpin animatronic toy when I was young. It scared me so much that i poked it's eyes into its head and ripped its jaw piece off.😅
