I love the reveal that Imogen has been wanting to kiss Laudna for some time but was hesitant because of the fact that Laudna's thoughts always made her stop. Now because of the circlet, Imogen decided to take her chance, and Laudna was receptive, even kissing Imogen back. It's a confirmation that Imogen has been crushing on Laudna, but never acted on her feelings due to being unable to block out Laudna's thoughts. And I doubt it was planned ahead of time, based on Marisha's reaction, and her statement of intentionally making an unromanceable character. Of course, that was a mistake, because Laura Bailey will accept the challenge of romancing the unromanceable character, and she will succeed.
They have a video on their TikTok from after the show, and Laura was concerned that maybe she should have asked Marisha first, so it was definitely a surprise. She also confirmed that it was hearing Laudna's thoughts that always kept Imogen from going for it.
Laura definitely has a thing for romancing broken characters with ties to dark entities. Makes one wonder what eldritch being Travis has in his closet.
Would be interesting to watch every interaction between them for hints of Imogen trying to kiss Laudna. For example in C3E38 after Laudna's resurrection in Whitestone, when comforting Laudna, she definitely leans into her as if to kiss, but snaps immediately out of it (around 1:01:01).
I believe Sam's tiger costume goes back even further as he is repeating a holloween episode from the first campaign (where he was a Rakshasa) which he repeated in the second campaign and is now repeating again.

I'm so glad the cast had a chance to address the differences of their respective journeys, I think this type of inter group "conflict" can make them stronger. I also like how surprised Marisha was when Imogen asked to kiss Laudna. That made the moment seem fresh and exciting, even with most of the fans trying to will this into existence lol
1. About time we get an Orym centric episode (hopefully this week). It'll be a great opportunity to explore more of his background, and finally meet Derrig's wife and daughters. 2. Funny that all 3 of the people who have romanced Marisha's characters are sitting next to each other. 3. I wonder if we're ever going to get a plot development involving the Betrayer Gods' actions in response to Predathos. The two potential characters and/or guests that I see popping up are Joe Manganiello returning as Arkhan fighting for Tiamat, or Luis Carazo returning as Zerxus fighting for Asmodeus.

I also had a thought about the random mass teleport, what if this was Caleb? We already know that the soltice did a number on the ley lines and arcane and other magic is either not working as usual or way more powerful, depending on your location. Him and Beau were both near the center of the event and both had very good reasons to want to get out of there asap. What if Caleb, our boy who dabbles in old time and space magic, set of a mass teleportation that avalanched through the leyline network and yeeted all kinds of people around the globe? He was magically restrained, but we learned already about several people who should have been locked up and got away. Magic destabilized -> Caleb gets out of his restraints -> Caleb tries to get himself and Beau somewhere else to regroup -> Everything goes sideways. That or the moon teleportation beam activating had an echo through the network and did this. And would this mean, that people got yeeted to other planes?
I think the Caleb theory is definietly interesting but I think it has to related to Imogen or Liliana or something since Matt described it similar to the blast Imogen caused in episode 33 🤔
I thought maybe it was the gods performing a little bit of divine intervention to stop the ritual before completion. Ruby Vanguard folks got teleported as well as Bell’s Hell’s and friends.
I am absolutely positive that the Mighty Nein Reunion: Echoes of the Solstice live show that was just recently announced is going to be 1. how we find out what has happened with Caleb and Beau directly after the solstice, and 2. the M9 dealing with an escaped Trent Ikithon, who possibly using using Ludinus' attempt to rise to even greater power as a way to worm himself back into power once he escapes or something like that. What ever the specifics are, I am sure that it'll be dealing with Trent's escape.

And since Taliesin played Kingsley for the reunion set at sea (since Kingsley went to sea at the end of the campaign), my money’s on Taliesin playing Caduceus for this second reunion since it’s tied to an event with gods + it’s the one that makes the most sense. So yeah, I would not be at all surprised if we get Cad back for this, and I’m so excited about that!
Having two harness/backpack constructions within the same group that infuse the wearer with powers they did not have before and not have them be related would be weird, so my guess is also that she's wearing a newer version of the harness. Ludinus probably started experimenting with the dunamis potions during Campaign 2, and before that he might have tried figuring out a way to use the beacon. Otohan was jealous of Liliana being stronger than her, so I bet she was an enthusiastic test subject once Ludinus proposed the idea. Big question now is if Ludi is actively wearing the harness, and if they can use the knowledge of the old design to somehow sabotage his new harness or damage him directly on the infusion spot.

I came here wondering if anyone else guessed a connection between the harness and Otohan. I think adapting from draining Fae creatures to using Beacon juice was just a happy convenience with an easier, more portable power source.
Great synopsis about a great episode! Also, I appreciate that you never have spoilers in your thumbnails or video titles. I literally watched the shopping scene 8 times so that I could watch the reactions of each cast member individually, they were hilarious. Another of those moments was when the cast realized where Ludinus and Liliana were at. My working theory about the moon: Predathos is not an entity, it is the name of the city, populated by the Reilora, which waged war against the gods and was ripped from Exandria and cast into orbit as a result.
In context, the sentence "Together, either way." is one of the most romantic things I've ever heard, a true expression of love that no matter how your loved one changes, your love will never change.
I immediately thought that the harness was a prototype of the thing Otahan gets her echo knight abilities from. I thought it was a great reveal when Matt said that it's supposed to be worn on your back, not in the front.
I LOVE watching Liam when he fully immerses himself in moments and reacts in character at the table such as during the vision in the Dusk Mother’s temple. My inner theatre major geek loves those moments.
I love the direction Taliesin is taking Ashton... like he's made multiple allusions to superheroes and "heroes" in general and it seems to me a little like a private fantasy he hasn't let himself indulge until now. That said, I'm kinda hoping he just invited every betrayer into his DMs with that speech! Let chaos reign!
Ludinous doesn’t have access to a wish spell to get that sovereign glue off does he?…right?………why does this campaign feel like it needs all three parties from all of the campaigns to be solved? I almost wonder if Matt was thinking the Mighty Nein would end up here if it weren’t for events of minor spoilerinos.
This is calamity level which definitely feels appropriate for all hands on deck. I know a lot of people didn't think the MN should have ended when it did but fighting the SubNovem was definitely final boss level (similar scale to the Titan of C1). I could definitely see C3's final boss being some weakened version of Predathos but we have a few levels to get there beforehand.
I’m still waiting for those statues (that took 5 years from Jester in C2) to make an appearance during the Solstice. They feel very important to me. 🤷🏽♀️ Also… I’M SO HAPPY for my girls. It has been such a long time coming. I’ve watched their shopping scene so many times already. I’m excited to see how they act around each other now.
I swear when M climbed out of her chair, I thought we were about to have another legendary Marisha and Erika RP type moment lol. I know they've never done this after romances start before but I'd be so nice to see them sit next to each other from now on. Also, I want them to wear Sappho inspired flower crowns.

I'm loving the kiss and the lore drop on Ashton/180 turn in mood. Although now I am sure that the end game is going to be on our 'red moon' Which now for sure is a whole space station/prison situation. Like this is not the first ruined city in space created by our beloved Matt Mercer. So like the death star, that moon is going to go boom by the end of the campaign and C4 is going to have mini moons/asteroids floating alongside Cathra
I'm anticipating a Mjolnir situation where Aston knocks somebody prone, put his hammer on their chest, and activates the rod. Like what Thor did to Loki in the first Thor MCU movie. While it's horrible that Vax is in pain, the fact that he is means he still exists.
I was really thinking they were going to find a way to convert the airship into a spelljammer but... well... they're going to need to find another Lord Esteros who is willing to give them another ship...
I called it all the back at episode 1. I find it funny that Marisha tried to make an un-romanceable character. Considering she followed Imogen around like she was a lost puppy.
My theory is the Rylorans(?) were worshippers of Predathos. That would explain why they were sent up too. It would be weird to take some random city to turn it into a moon. But it would make sense to imprison Predathos' worshippers too.
Love the title for this episode 😂 way to bury the lead. There's always a few iconic moments every campaign - I think the Laudna and Imogen go grocery shopping for the old lady episode will be one the fans recount again and again
The idea of a city of people being left behind is a very interesting rabbit hole. Ethodok controls “Darkness and Winter”. Vordo controls “Fate and Order”. Those powers I think might be able to force the people left on the moon to survive for those thousands of years. Twisting them in an endless “red blizzard”. This is so cool!
i actually expected with the level up, that Orym goes for a level in paladin. he was trying to speak to the Wildmother and in the temple of the Raven Queen, he put water on his shield - so maybe for next level? :D
A thought that I had a few days ago while rewatching ep 51, and being a little disappointed none of the other members of BH were revealed to be ruidisborn(unless i just missed it twice). And maybe the reason Chetney had a connection to the red moon was because it was flaring when he was bitten. So his gnome form is not ruidisborn but his transformed state was "born" under a flare. But nothing happened to him at the maleus key because of the ritual that he did with the Gorgynei
I think that the harness they found was the prototype for the backpack that Otohan Thull uses. I think the backpack was adapted to utilize dunamis potions.
The number of times the M9 relied on Essek to get them around before they had the right spell slots XD I'm glad matt found a way to give them a nerfed version of teleport at this level. I also think Orym getting back to Zehpra will be really good for him. I think he just needs to reexperience home :,) Also Imodna AHHHHHHHHHHH

Ludenis' back attachment remembered me for the back attachment that the women, that has the echo knight possibility in her backpack (the one Laudna put the ring in, to be able to check on her position, forget her name, sorry). She uses it for magics and I thought if that's kind of Version D of that harness of Ludenis.
Just something (game mechanics-wise) that's been on my mind about Vax since the fight with Ludinus in the excavation site … I believe that the spell Liliana cast was Imprisonment (Minimus Containment), which is a 9th level spell, on Vax. I am not that familiar with the 5e sorcerer, so I am not 100% sure if RAW gives access to that spell to whatever kind of sorcerer Liliana is (and of course Matt has no problem crafting the world of Exandria in the way he needs to for his and his players' enjoyment, so that's not much of an impediment really), but that seems like the most logical to me. Also RAW, the two ways to shatter the Imprisonment are to cast a 9th level Dispel Magic on either the material component or the Vax lens itself, so not something anyone in Bell's Hells can do presently, or for the conditions the caster set at the time of the spell's casting to be met … which, I don't remember that Liliana did such a thing at the time, but it's possible it was done telepathically or under her breath or something. If so, it seems possible that Imogen could figure out how to wrest that information from Liliana eventually, or it could be uncovered in more of Ludinus' writings or in other things he may have said or done over the course of his pursuit of the Solstice and releasing Pradathos. If BH ultimately decides that the best forward course is to de-tether Ruidus from the Key, that certainly seems like very end-game stuff to me (which breaks my heart for Kiki and Vax both), which maybe shouldn't be surprising 😂
Two thoughts (sorry, I haven’t read the comments yet, so I could be repeating people: 1) The priestess could have been the Matron of Ravens? She was very Ashton-ish (ie evasive) when they asked her anything. 2) When they were debating about the harness and who they could talk to about it, they immediately thought Ira, but Imahara Joe could be another possible person to help.
First, thank you for your excellent summary of the show. I love watching and hearing your thoughts and perspective on things I might have missed. I wonder if the backpack thing is the same thing that one women who attacked the group and was trying to get Imogen to join them way back in the beginning was. I thought Ferne climbed up her back and found stuff on her back. This was the thought I had when Matt mentioned it was worn on the back.
It was so nice of Matt to include an encounter for Chetney, since Travis doesn't particularly like downtime episodes :P I will take this wisdom to my own games!
Okay, my Reilora theory: they're actually Ruidusborn. When we saw the one with Ira, Matt described "striations" in the texture of the skin, and that it was more corporeal than the others that we've seen. I think that this might've been a Ruidusborn that isn't fully transformed into a Reilora. I went into a bit of more detail about it on discord, but that's the basics of it.
I would really like to have them address how this world up to this point really hasn't indicated that the gods were distrusted, or even not "believed" in. Like I think that's the wrong word to use in this world. You can not be devoted to a particular power, but you absolutely know that the gods exist. I feel like this season has taken a weird turn where it's sort of become obvious that people would distrust or have animosity towards the gods. That just hasn't been the case in every other campaign in this world. C1 and C2 there were enormous, and public interactions with the gods. We've seen how they have a direct and impactful influence in the world. Like every town has temples and not an abstract influence there either. Clerics have healing magic. Laudna was brought back to life with the power of Pike's celestial magic. The fact that the group is acting so obtuse about the power and influence of the gods is so weird to me. Again you don't need to be a devotee to any god in particular, but their apathy towards them is super strange and doesn't seem to line up with the world they inhabit.
I've heard some theories that Ludinus has the hand of Vecna, but his own arm is injured from powering the Malleus Key. Kind of like using the Infinity Gauntlet.
Im really curious how the eventual fight against Ludinus will go and if Matt will possibly manage multiple old pc's in-combat. Dont really see BH being able to defeat him on their own

We know that there will be a Mighty Nein reunion episode. My guess is that Trent Ikithon, having been freed from his magical confinement, will be the villain for this episode. I think it'll either be Icky Thong or Halas Lutagran.

Maybe they have their own thing going on and Predathos, just like to the Ruidusborn, is influencing them in a very passive way!
As gods need worship to fuel their powers, maybe Predathos requires something similar. But instead of worshippers he requires sacrifice, which could be a reason the Reilorans might want to help Ira put an end to it. Ira likes sticking his nose into things, but I do think that he wants Predathos gone. War might fuel his pockets and give him cause to disrupt things, but if the world ends where is he going to be having his fun?

I am really enjoying the deep philosophical and religious considerations going on. Not only does it match the same wrestlings going on in the world, it’s just nice (to me) for these players to engage in it. I am both an ordained Christian pastor and a History professor, so I’ve spent over 40 years considering and wrestling myself. The idea of the spiritual has been a core aspect of the human experience since “day 1,” and every tribe of people we know about embraces that in some form or another. So the considerations of the intentions of the God/gods, their agency, their interactions with the humans, their expectations of the humans is fascinating. I enjoyed Ashton expressing the worldview of so many in the West today, which seems to equate that “if I haven’t gotten anything positive, then the God/gods aren’t real or worth my time.” There’s so much to mine there within the game, and I’m very interested to see where Matt and the players go (though certainly feels specific that Matt is driving into this conversation).
I agree. Trent is coming back. As a forever DM it's too juicy a thread to not throw at your players. The best part is most of the CR cast have not even realized this as a possibility because they are all so busy with their other projects. We get to watch their panic! Love it.
Ok, #Theory : What they saw at the Temple of the Raven Queen. She is mad because her champion was captured and is being tortured. So that’s why any spell to bring someone back to life fails. The Raven Queen blocks it. 🤔🤔 P.S. I have not watched any of ep66 yet in case it’s revealed there.
Theory: Reilorans are humans that got transplanted to the moon with Predathos back when Ruidus was created. It looked to me like Matt described the Reiloran's skin in this episode as a more advanced condition of what Imogen is going through with her lightning markings that are turning redder. Every time Imogen uses Predathos' 'gift' the marks grow. So the Reilorans would be infused with his powers either from living in proximity or from actively wielding them. The previous Reiloran that she had summoned might just be a spirit form of one, with their body still trapped on the moon while Imogen pulled their essence through the portal to help her. As the gods require worship to be strong, maybe Predathos has set up a similar situation with these people on the moon to sustain themselves. I remember something about god eater creating 'twisted lifeforms' while being on Exandria, so maybe not creating new lifeforms but mutating current ones. It would explain why the gods send a piece of Exandria with Predathos to his prison; it was contaminated. The Ruidusborn might be those humanoids affected by aberrant forces, allowing them to be sensitive to psionic powers (like Imogen) and therefore Predathos. Predathos' powers were not like the divine powers/magic that the gods inspired in those living on Exandria, so this makes most sense in my mind. Abberant creatures are found all throughout Exandria, deep underground, so that would explain the random spread of the Ruidusborn. As Predathos is from 'beyond the stars' it seems to refer to the Far Realm, beyond the Astral Sea?
I'm starting to think that ultimately Ira and the Reilorans will be the bigger bad, an angry army of people who were in that town that got ripped up to become Predathos' prison. Ludinus is still a problem, but also an arrogant narcissistic fool who thinks he knows what's right or true. I do feel that the Raven Queen was likely his mother. He wants to know The Truth (her name, godly stuff) and go/join her. So the group will fight him and then suddenly realize a war is being dropped on them. Remember Ira's the one who really got this all going. Who brought the gnarlrock piece to Jrusar? I bet it was him, and it's likely a bit of a power play. He's been playing everyone this whole time.
Literally the week before I wrote on a reddit post, "I need this ship to happen..." and then they kissed in the following episode and all was right and good in the world as it should be!
My theory is because of that power stealing funnel strap like thing .he has remade and upgraded it.he is going to try to steal prodase power and take his place as that God and he is trying to get more followers that's also why he is so interested in the Raven Queen.
I am wondering if somewhere down the line, there's going to be a run in with Percy about Delilah. Suppose Laudna does successfully harness Delilah's energy and uses it to fight Predathos. It would be a wild internal conflict if Percy turned on Bells Hells because Deliliah had "come back." I could see BH accepting this new state of affairs with Laudna and him not accepting it.
Predathos Theory: What if it’s the city/people? I’ve been imagining Predathos as a giant monster buried inside the moon, but what if Predathos it’s not one big, alien/divine monster, but it’s a group of alien/divine people instead???
I hope the Reilora are made by Predathos because it adds more character than just "God Eater". A one-dimensional baddie is less fun than one who also gives life. Perhaps Predathos even gives birth to gods after eating one, so is part of the natural life-cycle of the Exandrian Gods but they have to die to procreate like some insects do. Perhaps the Reilora are the same 'species' as the gods, after the two were eaten, but can't grow to their full potential while in this prison.
I think the harness is a prototype of what otohan has on her back and that imogen should wear it, maybe if she stands under the beam on the surface of ruidus she could absorb that energy and do a cool kamehameha to defeat ludinous 😂

It wasn't my top ship and I preferred them as close friends. Early on I shipped Imogen and Dorian together but I can see Dorian and Orym eventually being a thing. I also was a Widojest shipper, so I have been historically off when it comes to ships. I'm still always cool for every romance that ends up happening. Someday Laura and Liam need to do a romance because it would be the most epic love story ever, just saying.
I'm all for Ashton replacing Orym as the moral compass of the group. It would be an interesting flip I think. And right now it seems like Ashton wants to fill that role, whereas Orym kind of got forced into it. This would open up space for Orym to just be a mess.

3. I wonder if we're ever going to get a plot development involving the Betrayer Gods' actions in response to Predathos. The two potential characters and/or guests that I see popping up are Joe Manganiello returning as Arkhan fighting for Tiamat, or Luis Carazo returning as Zerxus fighting for Asmodeus.
Luis as the champion of Asmlodeus would be incredible. Especially if we see him face off against a Vax (assuming they find a way to save him)

I also had a thought about the random mass teleport, what if this was Caleb? We already know that the soltice did a number on the ley lines and arcane and other magic is either not working as usual or way more powerful, depending on your location. Him and Beau were both near the center of the event and both had very good reasons to want to get out of there asap. What if Caleb, our boy who dabbles in old time and space magic, set of a mass teleportation that avalanched through the leyline network and yeeted all kinds of people around the globe? He was magically restrained, but we learned already about several people who should have been locked up and got away. Magic destabilized -> Caleb gets out of his restraints -> Caleb tries to get himself and Beau somewhere else to regroup -> Everything goes sideways.
That or the moon teleportation beam activating had an echo through the network and did this. And would this mean, that people got yeeted to other planes?
I think the Caleb theory is definietly interesting but I think it has to related to Imogen or Liliana or something since Matt described it similar to the blast Imogen caused in episode 33 🤔
I thought maybe it was the gods performing a little bit of divine intervention to stop the ritual before completion. Ruby Vanguard folks got teleported as well as Bell’s Hell’s and friends.

I am absolutely positive that the Mighty Nein Reunion: Echoes of the Solstice live show that was just recently announced is going to be 1. how we find out what has happened with Caleb and Beau directly after the solstice, and 2. the M9 dealing with an escaped Trent Ikithon, who possibly using using Ludinus' attempt to rise to even greater power as a way to worm himself back into power once he escapes or something like that. What ever the specifics are, I am sure that it'll be dealing with Trent's escape.
I really, badly hope Caduceus will join and this is going to be a real reunion. With all the god stuff he has to.

And since Taliesin played Kingsley for the reunion set at sea (since Kingsley went to sea at the end of the campaign), my money’s on Taliesin playing Caduceus for this second reunion since it’s tied to an event with gods + it’s the one that makes the most sense. So yeah, I would not be at all surprised if we get Cad back for this, and I’m so excited about that!
I think the weird backpack thing is what Otahan is wearing - she's using dunamas (?) to power it instead of siphoning fae powers.
Having two harness/backpack constructions within the same group that infuse the wearer with powers they did not have before and not have them be related would be weird, so my guess is also that she's wearing a newer version of the harness. Ludinus probably started experimenting with the dunamis potions during Campaign 2, and before that he might have tried figuring out a way to use the beacon. Otohan was jealous of Liliana being stronger than her, so I bet she was an enthusiastic test subject once Ludinus proposed the idea. Big question now is if Ludi is actively wearing the harness, and if they can use the knowledge of the old design to somehow sabotage his new harness or damage him directly on the infusion spot.

I came here wondering if anyone else guessed a connection between the harness and Otohan. I think adapting from draining Fae creatures to using Beacon juice was just a happy convenience with an easier, more portable power source.
They need to take it to Joe and get it fixed, perhaps for Orym or FCG

Great synopsis about a great episode! Also, I appreciate that you never have spoilers in your thumbnails or video titles. I literally watched the shopping scene 8 times so that I could watch the reactions of each cast member individually, they were hilarious. Another of those moments was when the cast realized where Ludinus and Liliana were at. My working theory about the moon: Predathos is not an entity, it is the name of the city, populated by the Reilora, which waged war against the gods and was ripped from Exandria and cast into orbit as a result.
In context, the sentence "Together, either way." is one of the most romantic things I've ever heard, a true expression of love that no matter how your loved one changes, your love will never change.
The tiger costume is from campaign 1, ep 65 was a Halloween episode. Sam was dressed as Hotis the Rokshasa(sp?)
I immediately thought that the harness was a prototype of the thing Otahan gets her echo knight abilities from. I thought it was a great reveal when Matt said that it's supposed to be worn on your back, not in the front.

I love the direction Taliesin is taking Ashton... like he's made multiple allusions to superheroes and "heroes" in general and it seems to me a little like a private fantasy he hasn't let himself indulge until now. That said, I'm kinda hoping he just invited every betrayer into his DMs with that speech! Let chaos reign!

This is calamity level which definitely feels appropriate for all hands on deck. I know a lot of people didn't think the MN should have ended when it did but fighting the SubNovem was definitely final boss level (similar scale to the Titan of C1). I could definitely see C3's final boss being some weakened version of Predathos but we have a few levels to get there beforehand.
I’m still waiting for those statues (that took 5 years from Jester in C2) to make an appearance during the Solstice. They feel very important to me. 🤷🏽♀️
Also… I’M SO HAPPY for my girls. It has been such a long time coming. I’ve watched their shopping scene so many times already. I’m excited to see how they act around each other now.

My theory is the Rylorans(?) were worshippers of Predathos. That would explain why they were sent up too. It would be weird to take some random city to turn it into a moon. But it would make sense to imprison Predathos' worshippers too.

A thought that I had a few days ago while rewatching ep 51, and being a little disappointed none of the other members of BH were revealed to be ruidisborn(unless i just missed it twice). And maybe the reason Chetney had a connection to the red moon was because it was flaring when he was bitten. So his gnome form is not ruidisborn but his transformed state was "born" under a flare. But nothing happened to him at the maleus key because of the ritual that he did with the Gorgynei
I think that the harness they found was the prototype for the backpack that Otohan Thull uses. I think the backpack was adapted to utilize dunamis potions.
The number of times the M9 relied on Essek to get them around before they had the right spell slots XD I'm glad matt found a way to give them a nerfed version of teleport at this level.
I also think Orym getting back to Zehpra will be really good for him. I think he just needs to reexperience home :,)

Ludenis' back attachment remembered me for the back attachment that the women, that has the echo knight possibility in her backpack (the one Laudna put the ring in, to be able to check on her position, forget her name, sorry). She uses it for magics and I thought if that's kind of Version D of that harness of Ludenis.
Just something (game mechanics-wise) that's been on my mind about Vax since the fight with Ludinus in the excavation site … I believe that the spell Liliana cast was Imprisonment (Minimus Containment), which is a 9th level spell, on Vax. I am not that familiar with the 5e sorcerer, so I am not 100% sure if RAW gives access to that spell to whatever kind of sorcerer Liliana is (and of course Matt has no problem crafting the world of Exandria in the way he needs to for his and his players' enjoyment, so that's not much of an impediment really), but that seems like the most logical to me. Also RAW, the two ways to shatter the Imprisonment are to cast a 9th level Dispel Magic on either the material component or the Vax lens itself, so not something anyone in Bell's Hells can do presently, or for the conditions the caster set at the time of the spell's casting to be met … which, I don't remember that Liliana did such a thing at the time, but it's possible it was done telepathically or under her breath or something. If so, it seems possible that Imogen could figure out how to wrest that information from Liliana eventually, or it could be uncovered in more of Ludinus' writings or in other things he may have said or done over the course of his pursuit of the Solstice and releasing Pradathos. If BH ultimately decides that the best forward course is to de-tether Ruidus from the Key, that certainly seems like very end-game stuff to me (which breaks my heart for Kiki and Vax both), which maybe shouldn't be surprising 😂

1) The priestess could have been the Matron of Ravens? She was very Ashton-ish (ie evasive) when they asked her anything.
2) When they were debating about the harness and who they could talk to about it, they immediately thought Ira, but Imahara Joe could be another possible person to help.

I wonder if the backpack thing is the same thing that one women who attacked the group and was trying to get Imogen to join them way back in the beginning was. I thought Ferne climbed up her back and found stuff on her back. This was the thought I had when Matt mentioned it was worn on the back.

Okay, my Reilora theory: they're actually Ruidusborn. When we saw the one with Ira, Matt described "striations" in the texture of the skin, and that it was more corporeal than the others that we've seen. I think that this might've been a Ruidusborn that isn't fully transformed into a Reilora. I went into a bit of more detail about it on discord, but that's the basics of it.
I would really like to have them address how this world up to this point really hasn't indicated that the gods were distrusted, or even not "believed" in. Like I think that's the wrong word to use in this world. You can not be devoted to a particular power, but you absolutely know that the gods exist. I feel like this season has taken a weird turn where it's sort of become obvious that people would distrust or have animosity towards the gods. That just hasn't been the case in every other campaign in this world. C1 and C2 there were enormous, and public interactions with the gods. We've seen how they have a direct and impactful influence in the world. Like every town has temples and not an abstract influence there either. Clerics have healing magic. Laudna was brought back to life with the power of Pike's celestial magic. The fact that the group is acting so obtuse about the power and influence of the gods is so weird to me. Again you don't need to be a devotee to any god in particular, but their apathy towards them is super strange and doesn't seem to line up with the world they inhabit.
I just realized that the Mighty Nien is on 29th of October....Halloween special so excited!!!!
I've heard some theories that Ludinus has the hand of Vecna, but his own arm is injured from powering the Malleus Key. Kind of like using the Infinity Gauntlet.
Im really curious how the eventual fight against Ludinus will go and if Matt will possibly manage multiple old pc's in-combat. Dont really see BH being able to defeat him on their own

We know that there will be a Mighty Nein reunion episode. My guess is that Trent Ikithon, having been freed from his magical confinement, will be the villain for this episode. I think it'll either be Icky Thong or Halas Lutagran.

Theory: I wonder if the Reilora, after thousands of years living in the moon, have actually forgotten that Predathos is there, and their own culture is all about the moon giving them power, and allowing them to occasionally explore the dreams of the alien creatures that live in that blue and green thing called Exandria. Maybe they have their own thing going on and Predathos, just like to the Ruidusborn, is influencing them in a very passive way!
As gods need worship to fuel their powers, maybe Predathos requires something similar. But instead of worshippers he requires sacrifice, which could be a reason the Reilorans might want to help Ira put an end to it. Ira likes sticking his nose into things, but I do think that he wants Predathos gone. War might fuel his pockets and give him cause to disrupt things, but if the world ends where is he going to be having his fun?

I am really enjoying the deep philosophical and religious considerations going on. Not only does it match the same wrestlings going on in the world, it’s just nice (to me) for these players to engage in it. I am both an ordained Christian pastor and a History professor, so I’ve spent over 40 years considering and wrestling myself. The idea of the spiritual has been a core aspect of the human experience since “day 1,” and every tribe of people we know about embraces that in some form or another. So the considerations of the intentions of the God/gods, their agency, their interactions with the humans, their expectations of the humans is fascinating. I enjoyed Ashton expressing the worldview of so many in the West today, which seems to equate that “if I haven’t gotten anything positive, then the God/gods aren’t real or worth my time.” There’s so much to mine there within the game, and I’m very interested to see where Matt and the players go (though certainly feels specific that Matt is driving into this conversation).
I agree. Trent is coming back. As a forever DM it's too juicy a thread to not throw at your players. The best part is most of the CR cast have not even realized this as a possibility because they are all so busy with their other projects. We get to watch their panic! Love it.

Ok, #Theory : What they saw at the Temple of the Raven Queen. She is mad because her champion was captured and is being tortured. So that’s why any spell to bring someone back to life fails. The Raven Queen blocks it. 🤔🤔

Theory: Reilorans are humans that got transplanted to the moon with Predathos back when Ruidus was created.
It looked to me like Matt described the Reiloran's skin in this episode as a more advanced condition of what Imogen is going through with her lightning markings that are turning redder. Every time Imogen uses Predathos' 'gift' the marks grow. So the Reilorans would be infused with his powers either from living in proximity or from actively wielding them. The previous Reiloran that she had summoned might just be a spirit form of one, with their body still trapped on the moon while Imogen pulled their essence through the portal to help her.
As the gods require worship to be strong, maybe Predathos has set up a similar situation with these people on the moon to sustain themselves. I remember something about god eater creating 'twisted lifeforms' while being on Exandria, so maybe not creating new lifeforms but mutating current ones. It would explain why the gods send a piece of Exandria with Predathos to his prison; it was contaminated.
The Ruidusborn might be those humanoids affected by aberrant forces, allowing them to be sensitive to psionic powers (like Imogen) and therefore Predathos. Predathos' powers were not like the divine powers/magic that the gods inspired in those living on Exandria, so this makes most sense in my mind. Abberant creatures are found all throughout Exandria, deep underground, so that would explain the random spread of the Ruidusborn. As Predathos is from 'beyond the stars' it seems to refer to the Far Realm, beyond the Astral Sea?
I'm starting to think that ultimately Ira and the Reilorans will be the bigger bad, an angry army of people who were in that town that got ripped up to become Predathos' prison. Ludinus is still a problem, but also an arrogant narcissistic fool who thinks he knows what's right or true. I do feel that the Raven Queen was likely his mother. He wants to know The Truth (her name, godly stuff) and go/join her. So the group will fight him and then suddenly realize a war is being dropped on them. Remember Ira's the one who really got this all going. Who brought the gnarlrock piece to Jrusar? I bet it was him, and it's likely a bit of a power play. He's been playing everyone this whole time.
Literally the week before I wrote on a reddit post, "I need this ship to happen..." and then they kissed in the following episode and all was right and good in the world as it should be!

My theory is because of that power stealing funnel strap like thing .he has remade and upgraded it.he is going to try to steal prodase power and take his place as that God and he is trying to get more followers that's also why he is so interested in the Raven Queen.
I am wondering if somewhere down the line, there's going to be a run in with Percy about Delilah. Suppose Laudna does successfully harness Delilah's energy and uses it to fight Predathos. It would be a wild internal conflict if Percy turned on Bells Hells because Deliliah had "come back." I could see BH accepting this new state of affairs with Laudna and him not accepting it.
I was so worried about Trent I forgot about Beau and Caleb being imprisoned with magical manacles too!!!!! hope is restored thank you Luna!

Predathos Theory: What if it’s the city/people? I’ve been imagining Predathos as a giant monster buried inside the moon, but what if Predathos it’s not one big, alien/divine monster, but it’s a group of alien/divine people instead???

I hope the Reilora are made by Predathos because it adds more character than just "God Eater". A one-dimensional baddie is less fun than one who also gives life. Perhaps Predathos even gives birth to gods after eating one, so is part of the natural life-cycle of the Exandrian Gods but they have to die to procreate like some insects do. Perhaps the Reilora are the same 'species' as the gods, after the two were eaten, but can't grow to their full potential while in this prison.

It wasn't my top ship and I preferred them as close friends. Early on I shipped Imogen and Dorian together but I can see Dorian and Orym eventually being a thing. I also was a Widojest shipper, so I have been historically off when it comes to ships. I'm still always cool for every romance that ends up happening. Someday Laura and Liam need to do a romance because it would be the most epic love story ever, just saying.
