It is unfortunate that two wrongs are wrongly making a right in UI.The university allegedly expelled him for an offence he was not charged with in the first instance. The student instead of insisting on his innocence asked to be proven guilty so, he was expelled. However, the courts are available for this unfortunate student to seek redress.
It's a good Lesson to learn from this gentle man in order be careful with those brain-wash peoples in the University sense arena story saga written today Tuesday 20/02/2018!!! Sule Shangodoyin.
Its a shame that such still happens in Nigeria University. I believe every word this student said and its a shame that the so called leaders of the university intimidate student with their positions. Like someone said, you would definately be victimized again when you go back. This is going to be difficult however, if u can get ur transcript (they should be willing to give you that atleast), i would suggest you look for/go to another university. Wish you all the very best in life.
Don't worry bro, if you're just and honest. The Lord will fight your battle for you. You sound more like a Law student than a vet student. Find something doing on the side until everything clears down. Think outside the box. Start a business, stay positive bro.
this is one of the reason why Nigerian education will continue to be stagnant...counting on all politicians and government workers..why are they taking their children abroad to study if they trust the system? thank u sahara reporters...pls put more pressure on Dino Melaye and others...our leaders are the key problems of the nation..
Does someone knows whats happening in the meantime? I wish the best for him and other outcasted students in similar situations. Universities like this may change something, if foreign countries are aware of it. Greetings from Berlin
That's the problem of all schools in Nigeria I was a teacher before I left cuz of so many reasons ,they supposed to listen to you as a student and later check your case of rudeness not to expel you anyway corruption everywhere in Nigeria
I wish you all the luck in the world, find yourself another institution to complete your studies if you go back to uni ibadan I believe you will be victimze.
I sympathize with the student. Nevertheless, you were wrong to request that you be proven guilty. I advice that you refer your case to the court. No one can confirm as to whether you are innocent or guilty by merely listening to jour side of the story, there will be need to obtain the narration of the 2nd party. The best place to listen to these narrations will be the court. Just an advice, avoid taking things personal with the VC, you are accusing him of sending all his children to study abroad because the system he is leading is bad. Verify your facts before dishing it out to the public. Wishing you all the best, I hope you get back to school soon.
Lovlyn ...at this current stage, it is rather unfortunate that no movement or agitation of any kind can reverse the verdict they passed on him except court injunction. I hope he finds a lawyer that is willing to take on his case pro-borno. Don't give up.
Good point however, the VC's children schooling abroad has nothing to do with his case rather, stressing it may cause unnecessary distraction to the real issue at hand.
The issue in the matter is not about the VC sending his children to school abroad. This is irrelevant. The disciplinary hearing is not a court of law where the burden of proof has to be discharged. It is an investigating panel to recommend disciplinary action in accordance with the rules. The student should have attended the hearing with a lawyer or taken the University to court after the wrong treatment. Nigeria is a crazed country where the less connected people suffer the most. I hope that this matter was resolved in his favour.
So sorry, but you need to study law after your doctor of vet medicine. I graduated too from this school, I nearly gave up in my year 4 cause I was so depressed about the sch.
This is quite unfortunate, if the facts as he has stated, are true. We shall be willing to offer legal assistance to redress this.
I can feel your pain my brother. We've not been lucky to have good leader at any level at all. Yes an injury to one is injury to all

The federal high court in Ibadan delivered a judgement in favour of the university of Ibadan on the 24th of July 2020.
