No PR’s, no looking at watts or HR. This was just an absolutely epic day to be out on the bike. Every view was stunning and riding the dirt was like skiing an a freshly groomed run. Thanks Zack. You are right when you say we may not be able to top this one.
Great video of a route I’ve done many times. You can also start in Cayucos and take Santa Rosa road up to Cypress Mountain Road, though it s a much tougher climb than Old Creek, though even more scenic. Then do the route shown on Cypress Mounta8n and Santa Rita but take Old Creek back to Hwy 46 as shown in the video and take Santa Rosa back to Cayucos.
Go Bears! Love "The Play" t-shirt. I come for the story, but that was a nice bonus. It'd be nice to follow your steps up the coast, all my local routes down here are covered in snow. Thanks again for another nice escape.
it was fun watching this coming from Atascadero and riding some of these roads on my diverge (I like the ride to Firestone Brewery :> ). Everyone generally calls it 'vinyard and not vign-yard' generally round these parts. Hey - thanks for the video truly enjoyed it.
Great vid! A couple questions for ya: 1) would you base out of SLO or Paso or somewhere else if you wanted to do this loop and others like it in Feb? 2) would you bring a road bike with 32mm tires or a gravel bike if you were riding in this area? Many thanks!
@@GravelBikeCalifornia the link on the gravel bike California page is for a ride in northern CA by Humboldt Redwoods state park. Can you just send me the link for the correct route? I also requested to follow you on Strava - maybe I can find it there if you accept my Strava request. Thanks!
Bicycles, ebikes and escooters are great options for last mile, short distance travel. Cities need to do more to encourage people to ride bicycles by providing safe, protected bike lanes and trails. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Bicycles are healthy exercise and fossil fuels free transportation. Electric bicycles are bringing many older adults back to cycling. Ride to work, ride to school or ride for fun.
Individuals, politicians and corporations all need to do more to protect the planet from climate change. Stop using fossil fuels. Stop using pesticides, add solar energy to your home or business, buy an electric vehicle, eat more fruit and vegetables and less meat and dairy, plant a tree, recycle everything. Every adult and child should own a bicycle and ride it regularly. Donate to non profits fighting for a better future. Support and elect climate leaders. Every child should plant a tree, bush or flowers wiith a parent or teacher. It will help connect them to nature and the environment.

Let's quit.
Fantastic video, thank you for documenting these rides.
It's a pleasure to cover all we have.
You deserve an award for such detailed info you make your videos! You ever gonna do a livestream q&a that would be cool😎
Some people have asked for that....
805! Looking forward to it!

I'm searching for a new dialect coach.
Awesome video(s), so informative and very fun to watch! I feel like as if I was traveling along with the tour man. Thank you for making these videos!
Thanks. This was a jewel of a ride
Thanks. I just moved to cambria and i am looking for gravel rides near me. Great channel...
I was there was more along the coast, but some good riding in SLO County
Great ride!
Thanks! Truly one of my favorites.

I think you're more central in Paso. Also, if you've seen the Eroica video which covers a good part of this loop, I did that comfortably on 32s.
Omg I figured it out! Anyone say you sound like Huell Howser? California Gold? !!!
Why haven't people said anything about this until I started making videos.
Yep
awesome ride! can't wait to run it. what size tire are you running?
Wtb Raddlers 40s although you could get away with less on this route.
Great video! I’m curious. What size tires did you ride on in this video?
I was on 40s, but Bill on 35s. I might have been able to do it on my 32s..
Hello! Great video! Any chance you have exact route of the video starting from Morro Bay?
There's a link in the description
