We wear cooling vests similar to those at work. When you're around 1000° Steel all day, you need something to cool you off. The only thing about where I live is it's always Humid, but I'd still try it. A little help is better than none at all, especially in regards to excessive heat. Great Video as always, Guys!

nice demo.I have used those gel filled neck scarf things (they are flat and dry before you soak them for a few minutes and they swell up with the water). They last several hours. I have not tried a cool vest or a long trip yet.Great to see you all again. It is nice that Spyder Wayne is in the support vehicle.
I took a cooling vest to VAMM, but it was fairly cool compared to the rest of the country. It rained on use at the BOTD. I used it last year, and it was GREAT!

Spyder Wayne would have much rather been on his Spyder but it's in the Spyder hospital...we were just happy he still wanted to come part way with us...He led us in to Canada and has since returned home. TommyG and I just crossed in to Alaska today! That's about 4300 miles from our house! So far in Canada and here, the weather has been pretty good...we've had some rain but more good weather than not. Sorry you are having such a rainy, cold summer! That stinks!
As an electrician we wear what we call a bomb suit. You can look up 40 Cal suit on google to see one. Anyways wearing a heavy suit like that in the South we use ice vests we keep in a freezer. I am going to have to look into these for the bike.

I can see if you soak it in the restroom that would work. Especially in the toilet. Also I noticed TommyG put his vest in the container first so his vest would be soaked best. In the south with humidity. That would never evaporate. Making it hot as hades. But not at first. 😊😊😊😊

WOW.! I didn't expect a vid from U2. U must B in a hotel this evening to do the editing. Its been up 4 less then 1 day & already has 515 views & 66 Comment.! GOOD NEWs it never gets above 30C or 86F here in Canada. Most people think Canada is cold, but in the summer it's just right.! BTW: I do something similar but it takes a bit more work & doesn't last as long. I heat some water to about 22 above on the stove & stuff a T-Shirt into the pot to get it completely wet. Then carefully put that on overtop of a dry T-Shirt, that I am wearing. I drip for quite a while riding, but the concept is to try & avoid the shocking feeling of adding a VERY COLD T-Shirt to my Hot Body.!

If you stay at a motel with a frig. you can wet these and then freeze them. That really works well and keeps you cool.
