  • I CHASED A COYOTE! I came across a coyote while walking the Green River in Kent Washington today. I could smell him as I followed the bushes and trees lining the banks of the river then I saw him! He was fast so I couldn't chase him too far but I tried. Oh well, it was cool seeing him. I know they are around because I always smell them but rarely see them.
Sit back and chill, relax to some soothing music and enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Pacific Northwest as I take you along on a virtual tour / dog walk/ nature walk.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR JOINING ME ON MY WALK TODAY!!

Great video. This really helped me out. Ive been looking for new fishing spot and have been scouting this from Google maps but you walked the whole section for me lol Thank you! I also work in the area and see Coyotes all the time running around Kent, right next to Boeing. They run through our parking lot chasing squirrels in the middle of the day.

Thanks! No problem, glad I could help! Yeah, that side of the river we saw the coyote on rarely has any people. We have seen a few coyotes in the area but it's usually in the evening or late at night and when nobody is around.

WOWZER!! Good job!! That is so cool!! Did you have an idea of what she smelled? It seemed this walk or at least part of it was different, ie about 8-9 mins RUBY was sniffing around a LOT down in the bush and I couldn’t tell if she was looking for a main trail and following smaller off-trail/wildlife trails or had caught the scent of something and was undecided about following the scent or looking for the trail. It seems like in your other videos, RUBY pretty much sticks to a main trail and may go off-trail by a foot at most to sniff or potty. The quote re coyotes not being seen was exactly what I was wondering about, that coyotes are usually nocturnal and not seen; is there some reason this one was out in broad daylight, like some kind of developer activity? Do you report coyotes sightings to anyone? Thanks for sharing this!! GO, RUBY!! We hope you have a PAWSOME weekend!!🐾❤️👏🏻

Thank you so much, we appreciate it and we will have a PAWSOME weekend! You're observant, yeah Ruby was sniffing around the bushes more than usual, I assumed she was smelling a coyote and/or rabbits in the area as there are some grey droppings with fur in it around but I assumed if there was a coyote near they would be hidden sleeping deep in the bush so I didn't want her to go too deep in just sniff around the edges. Not sure why he was up and about in the open at that time, there is rarely any people on that side of the river though. It surprised me, I thought she saw a bunny, she doesn't chase dogs or other animals so she could sense there was something different about it. No, we don't report any sightings but we have seen a couple at night from the car and a few at dusk from a distance and as soon as they see, hear, or smell us they disappear into the woods. Thanks again for walking with Ruby! We appreciate it!

@@WalkWithRuby Yea, I remember on one of your walks as you got out of the car the camera picked up a rabbit jumping off past some concrete barriers and it looked like RUBY tugged on the leash a little bit but turned back to you instead of lunging after the rabbit. I kind of figured she gaged the rabbit, distance, etc. and changed her mind about chasing it. RUBY is such a fantastic dog and we appreciate you sharing your adventures AND music with us!!🐾❤️

@@francesth85 Aww, thank you so much for the kind words. Yeah if Ruby is off leash and sees a rabbit she may chase it for a few steps out of instinct, not much more than that, but if she is on leash then she is in "following mode" and doesn't really react too much. Thanks again for joining Ruby on her adventures!
