SoCal gas will upsize your meter. Call for a load survey. Meters can do 20% more than what it’s rated. Also bigger the meter bigger the pipe, meters that do 400 btu will need 1 1/2 pipe. If your house line is 1/2 inch you will choke the pressure.. but depending on the appliance. If it is a higher rated btu you don’t want to have a smaller pipe size

Matthew, do you think you could record a quick video of your flame size results using 1 1/2 pipe?

Exactly folks don't let your local handyman blow your back yard up! MAKE sure your plumber HAS a valid up to date lic in your state. Codes are different state to state.

Yeah, but did we are talking about outside and threaded pipes. If you know how to screw two pipes together and add pipe dope you might want to save $5k. Might I also add that a leak in a line outside isn’t likely to do anything other than waste gas (that’s what a manufacturer told me). But do a leak test.

What flame height I should expect from a 240k cross fire burner

If your fuel volume and pressure are ideal, you could get 2-3 foot tall flames

Are the length measurements on the chart from the gas meter or from any external gas line that comes out of my house? My gas meter is in front of my house and I have a 3/4" line that comes out of the back of my house where I want the fire pit.
