The Attack and casting speed may sound alluring, but it is not worth the drawbacks. Agerian armor only has 1 gem slot and is lacking the set bonuses of AP or HP you would be getting from grunil or heve. Getting attack or cast speed is actually very easy. For just a few hundred thousand silver you can buy some very cheap gems that will very nearly max out your attack or cast speed. Also I would avoid hercules armor unless you cannot afford weight expansions and plan to be mob grinding very very heavily. Even then I would still recommend staying away from it, but if you reaaally want the extra carry weight go for it I guess. As for armour I *WOULD* recommend getting. I would recommend either Heve, Grunil, or Rocaba armor. Dungeouneers recommendation of 2 piece grunil and 2 piece heve is what I tend to recommend to newer guildies as well. It's a very solid choice. Whatever you do *DO NOT BUY LEMORIA ARMOR!* They may look like a cheap upgrade after you've been playing for a week or so, but *DONT DO IT!* Lemoria is incredibly expensive to upgrade for a new player. You would be far better off putting your money into getting a set of green armor up to duo or tri and turning it ultimate. Once you have done that lemoria becomes a more viable option for gear upgrades before boss armor, but I would recommend buying it already upgraded rather than upgrading yourself if you decide to go that route. Also the only piece of Lemoria I would actually recommend at that point is boots because boss boots can take months to get your hands on. His weapon recommendations were solid, but I will expand a bit on them for anyone interested in why those weapons are the best choices for new players. Styd as he explained has much higher ap than any other nonupgraded equipment and is very cheap. What he didn't mention or didn't have the time to mention is that the accuracy on the styd weapons is comparable to that of a boss weapon. Accuracy plays a huge part in how much damage you will do in PvE especially, do not take it for granted. This weapon will need to be replaced sometime around your 30s though. **Rosar** is just a solid baseline, it is mainly chosen because it has the best ap for a green weapon and two gem slots. The accuracy that is says you gain per weapon enhancement is honestly a lie. Rosar does not gain any more accuracy per enhancement than any other green weapon. **Yuria** used to be the first weapon every new player was recommended to go because Rosar did not exist yet and we didn't have all the stats on equipment readily displayed. It had decent ap and gave human damage per enhancement level. A lot of the grinding spots in the early 50s at the time were human mobs (excluding catfishmen) and human damage is also effective in PvP. **Krea** is a very strong starter weapon because of the set bonus and the fact that Krea has two gem slots. A krea weapon is essentially a Rosar weapon without the ignore resistance. I would recommend any claases besides Warrior, Valkyrie, Berserker, Striker, Mystic, and Dark Knight start with a Krea weapon and offhand set as the extra 20 accuracy is huge for grinding. The reason I mentioned all those other classes is that those classes all have very strong offhand weapons that are far better choices than a krea therefore not allowing you to get the set effect. For those classes I would recommend a Rosar weapon and the classes specific offhand (Vangertz for warrior and valk, Leather for striker and mystic, and Saiyer for berserker and dark knight.) Whatever you do *DO NOT BUY A LIVERTO WEAPON!* They may look like a cheap upgrade after you've been playing for a week or two, but *DONT DO IT!* Liverto's are incredibly expensive to upgrade for a new player. You would be far better off putting your money into getting a green weapon up towards tri and turning it ultimate. Once you have done that you may consider buying a liverto that is *ALREADY* at tri, but personally I would recommend just waiting until you can afford to get a Kzarka.
As a BDO player, solid reply. Fully agree with above comment. Just my 2c: just buy all green (ultimate) gear DUO/TRI. As a new player..don't even waste your time trying to refine. Just buy it from the central market. It's quite easy to farm a lot of silver. Once you get going (250+ Defense Points) you can start focusing on end game gear which you will need to refine yourself (Which is an expensive exercise).

Thanks for the great videos. I picked up the game last night on Steam. I've played a lot of MMORPGs over the years but I took a roughly 5-year break from them starting back in 2013. As a new player I'm just planning on playing the game casually, I just don't have the time to sink into gaming like I used to but I still enjoy the hobby a lot. When I first got into the game all the information that is thrown at you can be overwhelming. Not to mention every other video I've seen out there talks about grinding and gear but didn't give me a good understanding of how to start or what to do. My background in MMORPGs started with Eastern MMORPGs and then switched to Western games for most of the time. Your video helped me to switch my thinking from "go grab every quest" (which is more of a western play style) to "get good gear" (which seems to be more of the eastern play style, well with the exception of raids and such in western games). Overall I'm very excited about the game. I'm running on a brutally old computer so the game looks horrible but I'm still having fun with it.
Hi. More notes! Around the 5:30 mark you mention daily pay. You get 300k/day at soon at you hit level 15. At 7:30 you quickly touch upon enhancing your chest and gloves to +5. Chest and Helmet actually offer the most DP/Enchant while Gloves and Boots offer the lowest (for non-boss armor that is).

@dungeoneers I'm playing the game for a month now and I know most of the things (lvl 56 Ninja still, taking my time leveling) and I've seen most of the old guides and I have some friends explaining me shit from my guild. I'm saying this because you're legit the only TH-camr I've hit 'sub' to for BDO vids. Like, in the first 5 mins of your first video I just insta subbed. Keep up the good shit ^-^. A few side note about the content so far is that you really shouldn't get your armors to over +5 because I've spent a decent amount (about 100m's worth) getting my full grunil +15 (2 parts upgraded 2 parts bought) BECAUSE, simply by *doing quests* ( and getting Asula jewelry set) you can reach a whopping *200 DP*. My friend had started 3 days after me and is also lvl 56 with about 140/120/189 without buying/upgrading a single item. Now getting things to +5 and +7 isn't really costly so you did get a lot of stats (51/5*) for about 2m +/- and that's all a new player needs. Reffering to Mediah armors and Black Abyssal Weapons. Also around lvl 48*ish* if you did the whole main quest line you get a T5 horse with insta Accel and quick ride which if trained can be a really good early horse. (Am still using mine, costs 8.8m at lvl1, mine is lvl 19 costs above 17m -with drift 100%) Shit, long post, TL;DR : KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK AND DON'T SPEND OVER 15M (max) ON ITEMS EARLY. ;)

Despite this guide being quite old this has been one of the most useful guides for new players simply because it talks about gear. I legit have been thinking that I needed to wait for gear from the black spirit because a few guides told me I would get great gear from it. I didn't realize that I should be buying and upgrading armor off the marketplace, I've just been using quest and world drops. It instantly made my combat more fun since surviving wasn't as hard.
Thank you so much, man! I went from basic gear to having a two-piece set bonus with Grunil and a two-piece set bonus with heve, that and a Rosar longsword and a vangertz shield, all of the items I just mentioned I got lucky with and got them all to +7 which brought me to 41AP and 88DP, loved the guide and it was really good for someone new to the game like myself.
I love these videos, you literally do it better than anyone else I've found. I'm a total newb to the game and while I love a challenging game this one definitely has a good learning curve just due to the amount of mechanics involved

tell people to create multiple characters even if they don't play them, occupy your slots as you can use these characters for energy batteries and later down the line for failstack alts ;)
Just fyi...Value Pack doesn't entirely negate the 30% commission, as it's removed BEFORE the 30% is added back by the Value Pack. So, the total "pay-off" you can expect to make, off of an item that you sold WITH the Value Pack active is "Item Price * .85". Just a friendly additive, as I found this out myself a while back because I was curious of whether it was used BEFORE or after the 30% commission. =) Agree with @Delivery Guy, you are doing a GREAT job explaining everything. Not too sure but i think the value pack adds back 30 % of the after tax value of the item sold not completely negating the market place tax. For example if you sold an item for 1M silver . Firstly 350k is deducted because of 35% mp tax and then 30 % of the remaining 650k silver is added on top of that because of the value pack. so 195k + 650k = 845k silver with value pack. So you get more silver with the value pack but some silver is still lost to the mp tax. Really enjoying the guide series though. Looking forward to see more of your videos.
Great beginner guide. Looking forward to rest of series. Only suggestion I would possibly make is instead of suggesting to get a chest piece to upgrade rather just use the roaring chest that is gotten from black spirit, as that should last a person till full PRI gear.

Pick N Roll they're all pretty good, alchemy is really risky though. I'd do AFK fishing for now and do research into Processing and Trading for massive profits
I usually play mmos for role-playing. So gear that looks more epic and/or sexy is usually what I go for. Reason being is that I have confidence in my abilities to their maximum potential. (After many hours of practicing and studying combos). Just because you have better gear doesn't always mean that you are stronger. You can beat a player 5-10 levels above or below you depending on skills alone.
While in the market place you can press "i" to open your inventory to see if something was purchased or not. Also for green mainhand weapons I tend to recommend rosar or elish but that my just be preference.

I have been playing as a Warrior and I just recently sold my Vangertz after a year of bad luck then I finally got a Nouver Sheild, I very well agree with the choice that you have made with the shield
So I’m a brand spanking new player, I’m sitting at almost level 40 as a witch. I have not bought a single piece of armor or weapon because I don’t understand how it works so I reached out to TH-cam and landed here. and now I am even more confused. I’ve just been following the main black spirit questline and In doing so my AP/DP is higher than that of this video. It’s a bunch of different pieces(I think 3 pieces are basteer but I’ve received it all through quests. I am yet to face a challenge whatsoever from enemies with the gear I’ve been receiving exclusively through the quests. I guess the confusion is why would I spend silver to buy armor/weapons when the gear you receive from the quests (for free) gives me the ability to one or sometimes two hit any enemy I’ve faced thus far. Am I missing something?
Loving the series wish I had updated info instead of finding old guides when I started, one thing to add on for the accessories since a lot of people do not know about this set, in Calpheon there is an armor vendor (blacksmith can't remember which) called Grandus (near the storage keeper), he will sell the root treant set for 300k to 500k per piece and the total set costs 1.7 million in silver. Kinda pricey for newer players but the set bonus gives 100 weight and each piece gives AP and accuracy which helps out a ton and will set newer players up until they get the asula set. Not sure if you knew about it, but I wanted to mention it.
I am around half way between beginner and veteran, but I have been having trouble upping my house fame. Basically, the life skill part of the house fame is stuck at 20 and will not increase under any circumstances. The overwhelming majority of my house fame comes from the part that counts levels (three lv56 and about four others under lv40). One thing about the life skills; one of my 56’s is professional 8, skilled 6 in cooking, and apprentice in all the others. Another of the 56’s is skilled 6 in both fishing and cooking, and apprentice 8 (averaged) in all the rest. The rest have negligible life skills. But that doesn’t change the fact that my life skills rating for house fame is only 20. All told, I’m only getting about 780,000 silver a day. But if you can make 400,000/day with only one level 15, I can’t help but think that number is somehow wrong. Can you give me some advice on how to fix it?
Just to clarify, and I think this is an important point; the value pack does not remove the tax from the marketplace. Your sale has 30% removed as tax, and then an additional 30% of the resultant price is added on at the end.
Very good guide, I'm pretty sure every new player will benefit from that. You forgot to mention Elsh mainhand which is atm the best non boss mainhand because of the accuracy being the same as kzarka's.
he proobably didnt because Elsh isnt well known across the community and he probably didn't want to confuse new players with why it's better (accuracy) since 99.99% of people who join a game where you increases stats over time will want the highest stat increase just for fluffing purposes. Besides Acc isnt that big of a deal until lv 60 PVP and PVE.
You forgot about the 'special deals' section in the market place. Its a way cheaper option for beginning players to get some beginner gears :) Anyway nice video!
Hi first good starting guide. Just FYI when get to 53-55 there are quest lines for some good armor and a good starting weapon. the weapon is the Black Abyssal and you can exchange it every week to another class if need so don't have to rebuy a mainweapon.

Luke You should probably have mentioned the Special Deals section on the Market Place window first thing. Especially with the direction this guide series is taking off in.. New Players FYI: Special Deals can be found at the bottom of the Market Place list. Pricing on Items in the Special Deals section will decrease by 3% Every 10 minutes after they have been put up for sale on the Market Place. This being so you will at times be able to get VERY good deals on a myriad of "loot drop" items. Sad to say that as a New Player I missed Special Deals, not figuring it out until I by chance scrolled down and found it there like 2 weeks into the game. Oh and from thinking on the armor choice here.. with hindsight if I had known anything about the game and how the dominos would fall well I would have gone Heve Helm and Gloves with Grunil Chest and Boots.
Are Rosar weapons still viable? I know the PRI and up enhancements give extra AP when killing monsters. So is this a great weapon for just farming mobs for money above other weapon types?
very good guide, nice explanation! but if its just for grinding id go full ap instead of acc/dp. the dp from enhanced armour is normally enough, so instead of the ridell earrings id go with bares. theyr pretty cheap, pri @ about 70k each(eu). but that may be just my personal preference =)
Use quest/drop gear at the beginning, then upgrade to Kaia weapon for 50CP when you get to Calpheon (can give it back to get back your CP) Upgrading weapons and armor is likely to cost you alot compared to the return you get
Just saying, good content for a video. I felt wanted to play this game months ago and i made like rush into lv 56 in 3 days with guides out there but none of those videos explained in this way that i really wanted. simple and easy way where to pick and which gear to get. somehow i stopped cuz of marketplace freezed my game everytime i tried to "fight" for a grunil piece or a memory frag since durability dies quickly for enhancement. Ill continue watch ur videos to learn things i couldnt

I attended the initial Wetsern release grinded my Berserker to 50 in the first 24 hours and then the massive grind this game set in and i sorta dropped it, based on me not being able to stay competitive. I am getting older, got a wife and a career job etc. But your optimistic look at the game and just doing what you think is fun got my thoughts going. Always loved the combat and never been a stranger to grinding games. So I kinda wanna get going again - looking forward for your guides to hit 50+ Any off the bat advice for a returning player? Who have a VERY dusty character around 51. Can remember what blackstones do but my inventory is filled with all kinds of crap. Where should i go? What should be a priority? I feel like i can remember grinding frogmen at a specific pond - but that's it.
Sebastian Krogh i think your 1st priority is to raise your gearscore, enhance all of your equips. Wp, sub-wp, 2 grunils + 2 heve, max it all out at +15 or higher, reform them to make them look a bit cooler, then obtain those asulas. With the GS that you'll get, you'll be able to move to the 2nd top priority which is applying to a guild. Apply to a bit of a decent guild, doens't have to be so comperitive, but at least they're more than happy to answer your questions. A FRIENDLY WELCOMING GUILD IS ALL YOU NEED before the end game in black desert. Learn from them about how to understand, adapt and follow the current meta, not just PVP wise, but also life skills and worker empire. Regarding all those "craps" in your inventory, i just can say, do your homework bro.. research what each of them do.
Was this before they started giving out those gold bricks for the black spirit quests? You're first 5 mil silver in this game is basically handed to you within the first 30 minutes which makes buying gear much much easier.
Hercules set is the only set I really like for PVE. The amount of time I can grind increases so I have more xp per playtime. For PVP, its boss set obv.
Hey there im kind of confused on the gearing aspect of BDO. Like i see you upgraded gear you bought from the auction. And weak gear. Some one that plays WoW well used to account is still open but im not feeling it atm. Anyways if we are low lvls and for some reason we need gear. We can buy from auction like you did. But there will be no point in upgrading it in Wows logic enchanting for extra stats because you will get way better gear from quest at a higher lvl you pretty much out lvl it. Sooo like are you keeping this gear that you bought until you hit softcap lvl and upgrade it till then? Or whats going on. Plsss tell me im lost!!
So I'm new to the game, playing warrior as my first class. Does this build apply to warriors as well? I haven't quite messed with the marketplace yet. Currently lvl 27 with a+7 liverto and a green quality vangertz shield. I haven't upgraded the shield since I've considered finding a blue one first. Haven't really worked on armor just yet as I don't really know what it is I want on this class.
I'd actually recommend that you don't buy any equipment as a beginner because 1) the enemies pre-50 are ridiculously easy to kill and 2) you get good equipment from Black Spirit quests anyways (including a +7 Bares weapon). I actually don't you need to buy, or really enhance anything, until 55/56.
I know this is older, and this is helpful, but someone should make a guide like this for PS4 so it’s more relevant for the recent release and also it would help in terms of navigating ui and such for PS4

Loving the series, players should also note they have access to the "Olvia" double exp servers for the first 30 days or until level 58; even returning players who haven't played in 30 days get access to them.
using too many xp buffs makes you skillpoint starved, especially when you awaken, but im not 100% sure if thats true up to 56 (not beyond).
It's actually until you hit 59. At 59 you can no longer gain XP form olvia servers.

Thanks for the great videos. I picked up the game last night on Steam. I've played a lot of MMORPGs over the years but I took a roughly 5-year break from them starting back in 2013. As a new player I'm just planning on playing the game casually, I just don't have the time to sink into gaming like I used to but I still enjoy the hobby a lot. When I first got into the game all the information that is thrown at you can be overwhelming. Not to mention every other video I've seen out there talks about grinding and gear but didn't give me a good understanding of how to start or what to do.
My background in MMORPGs started with Eastern MMORPGs and then switched to Western games for most of the time. Your video helped me to switch my thinking from "go grab every quest" (which is more of a western play style) to "get good gear" (which seems to be more of the eastern play style, well with the exception of raids and such in western games).
Overall I'm very excited about the game. I'm running on a brutally old computer so the game looks horrible but I'm still having fun with it.
Hi. More notes! Around the 5:30 mark you mention daily pay. You get 300k/day at soon at you hit level 15. At 7:30 you quickly touch upon enhancing your chest and gloves to +5. Chest and Helmet actually offer the most DP/Enchant while Gloves and Boots offer the lowest (for non-boss armor that is).

I'm playing the game for a month now and I know most of the things (lvl 56 Ninja still, taking my time leveling) and I've seen most of the old guides and I have some friends explaining me shit from my guild.
I'm saying this because you're legit the only TH-camr I've hit 'sub' to for BDO vids. Like, in the first 5 mins of your first video I just insta subbed. Keep up the good shit ^-^. A few side note about the content so far is that you really shouldn't get your armors to over +5 because I've spent a decent amount (about 100m's worth) getting my full grunil +15 (2 parts upgraded 2 parts bought) BECAUSE, simply by *doing quests* ( and getting Asula jewelry set) you can reach a whopping *200 DP*. My friend had started 3 days after me and is also lvl 56 with about 140/120/189 without buying/upgrading a single item.
Now getting things to +5 and +7 isn't really costly so you did get a lot of stats (51/5*) for about 2m +/- and that's all a new player needs. Reffering to Mediah armors and Black Abyssal Weapons.
Also around lvl 48*ish* if you did the whole main quest line you get a T5 horse with insta Accel and quick ride which if trained can be a really good early horse. (Am still using mine, costs 8.8m at lvl1, mine is lvl 19 costs above 17m -with drift 100%)

Despite this guide being quite old this has been one of the most useful guides for new players simply because it talks about gear. I legit have been thinking that I needed to wait for gear from the black spirit because a few guides told me I would get great gear from it. I didn't realize that I should be buying and upgrading armor off the marketplace, I've just been using quest and world drops. It instantly made my combat more fun since surviving wasn't as hard.
I played on release and was overwhelmed, watching your videos make me want to start playing again.

I went from basic gear to having a two-piece set bonus with Grunil and a two-piece set bonus with heve, that and a Rosar longsword and a vangertz shield, all of the items I just mentioned I got lucky with and got them all to +7 which brought me to 41AP and 88DP, loved the guide and it was really good for someone new to the game like myself.
I love these videos, you literally do it better than anyone else I've found. I'm a total newb to the game and while I love a challenging game this one definitely has a good learning curve just due to the amount of mechanics involved

playing again on SEA, and already know a lot since i also played NA since it launched. But the way you deliver your lines and info are really nice. and since its related to BDO, i like having it in the background to listen to while im grinding. keep it up! :D subbed
tell people to create multiple characters even if they don't play them, occupy your slots as you can use these characters for energy batteries and later down the line for failstack alts ;)

Just fyi...Value Pack doesn't entirely negate the 30% commission, as it's removed BEFORE the 30% is added back by the Value Pack. So, the total "pay-off" you can expect to make, off of an item that you sold WITH the Value Pack active is "Item Price * .85". Just a friendly additive, as I found this out myself a while back because I was curious of whether it was used BEFORE or after the 30% commission. =) Agree with @Delivery Guy, you are doing a GREAT job explaining everything. Not too sure but i think the value pack adds back 30 % of the after tax value of the item sold not completely negating the market place tax.
For example if you sold an item for 1M silver . Firstly 350k is deducted because of 35% mp tax and then 30 % of the remaining 650k silver is added on top of that because of the value pack. so 195k + 650k = 845k silver with value pack. So you get more silver with the value pack but some silver is still lost to the mp tax.

Great beginner guide. Looking forward to rest of series. Only suggestion I would possibly make is instead of suggesting to get a chest piece to upgrade rather just use the roaring chest that is gotten from black spirit, as that should last a person till full PRI gear.

Pick N Roll they're all pretty good, alchemy is really risky though. I'd do AFK fishing for now and do research into Processing and Trading for massive profits
I usually play mmos for role-playing. So gear that looks more epic and/or sexy is usually what I go for. Reason being is that I have confidence in my abilities to their maximum potential. (After many hours of practicing and studying combos). Just because you have better gear doesn't always mean that you are stronger. You can beat a player 5-10 levels above or below you depending on skills alone.
That's not how BDO works.
While in the market place you can press "i" to open your inventory to see if something was purchased or not. Also for green mainhand weapons I tend to recommend rosar or elish but that my just be preference.

So I’m a brand spanking new player, I’m sitting at almost level 40 as a witch. I have not bought a single piece of armor or weapon because I don’t understand how it works so I reached out to TH-cam and landed here. and now I am even more confused. I’ve just been following the main black spirit questline and In doing so my AP/DP is higher than that of this video. It’s a bunch of different pieces(I think 3 pieces are basteer but I’ve received it all through quests. I am yet to face a challenge whatsoever from enemies with the gear I’ve been receiving exclusively through the quests. I guess the confusion is why would I spend silver to buy armor/weapons when the gear you receive from the quests (for free) gives me the ability to one or sometimes two hit any enemy I’ve faced thus far. Am I missing something?

Early game you can get by easily on quest gear. Later on content requires gear to progress as opposed to levels
Loving the series wish I had updated info instead of finding old guides when I started, one thing to add on for the accessories since a lot of people do not know about this set, in Calpheon there is an armor vendor (blacksmith can't remember which) called Grandus (near the storage keeper), he will sell the root treant set for 300k to 500k per piece and the total set costs 1.7 million in silver. Kinda pricey for newer players but the set bonus gives 100 weight and each piece gives AP and accuracy which helps out a ton and will set newer players up until they get the asula set. Not sure if you knew about it, but I wanted to mention it.

I am around half way between beginner and veteran, but I have been having trouble upping my house fame. Basically, the life skill part of the house fame is stuck at 20 and will not increase under any circumstances. The overwhelming majority of my house fame comes from the part that counts levels (three lv56 and about four others under lv40).
One thing about the life skills; one of my 56’s is professional 8, skilled 6 in cooking, and apprentice in all the others. Another of the 56’s is skilled 6 in both fishing and cooking, and apprentice 8 (averaged) in all the rest. The rest have negligible life skills. But that doesn’t change the fact that my life skills rating for house fame is only 20.
All told, I’m only getting about 780,000 silver a day. But if you can make 400,000/day with only one level 15, I can’t help but think that number is somehow wrong.
Can you give me some advice on how to fix it?
Just to clarify, and I think this is an important point; the value pack does not remove the tax from the marketplace. Your sale has 30% removed as tax, and then an additional 30% of the resultant price is added on at the end.
Very good guide, I'm pretty sure every new player will benefit from that. You forgot to mention Elsh mainhand which is atm the best non boss mainhand because of the accuracy being the same as kzarka's.
he proobably didnt because Elsh isnt well known across the community and he probably didn't want to confuse new players with why it's better (accuracy) since 99.99% of people who join a game where you increases stats over time will want the highest stat increase just for fluffing purposes. Besides Acc isnt that big of a deal until lv 60 PVP and PVE.

Hi first good starting guide. Just FYI when get to 53-55 there are quest lines for some good armor and a good starting weapon. the weapon is the Black Abyssal and you can exchange it every week to another class if need so don't have to rebuy a mainweapon.
yup! Next video we're gonna grind to 56 and get this weapon + the free awkening weapon, as well as the Roaring magic chestpiece and Root Treant accessories. It's gonna be a good one!
Luke You should probably have mentioned the Special Deals section on the Market Place window first thing. Especially with the direction this guide series is taking off in..
New Players FYI: Special Deals can be found at the bottom of the Market Place list.
Pricing on Items in the Special Deals section will decrease by 3% Every 10 minutes after they have been put up for sale on the Market Place.
This being so you will at times be able to get VERY good deals on a myriad of "loot drop" items.
Sad to say that as a New Player I missed Special Deals, not figuring it out until I by chance scrolled down and found it there like 2 weeks into the game.
Oh and from thinking on the armor choice here.. with hindsight if I had known anything about the game and how the dominos would fall well I would have gone Heve Helm and Gloves with Grunil Chest and Boots.
i would recommend 4 parts grunil and use the roaring magical armor as soon as you get it to have 3 set bonus and not break the 2+2 set ^^

Are Rosar weapons still viable? I know the PRI and up enhancements give extra AP when killing monsters. So is this a great weapon for just farming mobs for money above other weapon types?
very good guide, nice explanation! but if its just for grinding id go full ap instead of acc/dp. the dp from enhanced armour is normally enough, so instead of the ridell earrings id go with bares. theyr pretty cheap, pri @ about 70k each(eu). but that may be just my personal preference =)
Use quest/drop gear at the beginning, then upgrade to Kaia weapon for 50CP when you get to Calpheon (can give it back to get back your CP)
Upgrading weapons and armor is likely to cost you alot compared to the return you get

Just saying, good content for a video. I felt wanted to play this game months ago and i made like rush into lv 56 in 3 days with guides out there but none of those videos explained in this way that i really wanted. simple and easy way where to pick and which gear to get. somehow i stopped cuz of marketplace freezed my game everytime i tried to "fight" for a grunil piece or a memory frag since durability dies quickly for enhancement. Ill continue watch ur videos to learn things i couldnt

Hey there, awesome content. I've beencontemplating coming back to BDO for a long time. I attended the initial Wetsern release grinded my Berserker to 50 in the first 24 hours and then the massive grind this game set in and i sorta dropped it, based on me not being able to stay competitive. I am getting older, got a wife and a career job etc.
But your optimistic look at the game and just doing what you think is fun got my thoughts going. Always loved the combat and never been a stranger to grinding games.
So I kinda wanna get going again - looking forward for your guides to hit 50+
Any off the bat advice for a returning player? Who have a VERY dusty character around 51. Can remember what blackstones do but my inventory is filled with all kinds of crap.
Where should i go? What should be a priority? I feel like i can remember grinding frogmen at a specific pond - but that's it.
Sebastian Krogh i think your 1st priority is to raise your gearscore, enhance all of your equips. Wp, sub-wp, 2 grunils + 2 heve, max it all out at +15 or higher, reform them to make them look a bit cooler, then obtain those asulas. With the GS that you'll get, you'll be able to move to the 2nd top priority which is applying to a guild. Apply to a bit of a decent guild, doens't have to be so comperitive, but at least they're more than happy to answer your questions. A FRIENDLY WELCOMING GUILD IS ALL YOU NEED before the end game in black desert. Learn from them about how to understand, adapt and follow the current meta, not just PVP wise, but also life skills and worker empire. Regarding all those "craps" in your inventory, i just can say, do your homework bro.. research what each of them do.
I played BDO a while ago, and just came back to start a new character. I recieved 60M in the mail and got to 83AP 85DP with around 35M left to spare

Was this before they started giving out those gold bricks for the black spirit quests? You're first 5 mil silver in this game is basically handed to you within the first 30 minutes which makes buying gear much much easier.
Hercules set is the only set I really like for PVE. The amount of time I can grind increases so I have more xp per playtime. For PVP, its boss set obv.
You said DP so much at the end that my wife gave me a dirty look and said my full name and ask me what I was watching! lol
Hey there im kind of confused on the gearing aspect of BDO. Like i see you upgraded gear you bought from the auction. And weak gear. Some one that plays WoW well used to account is still open but im not feeling it atm. Anyways if we are low lvls and for some reason we need gear. We can buy from auction like you did. But there will be no point in upgrading it in Wows logic enchanting for extra stats because you will get way better gear from quest at a higher lvl you pretty much out lvl it. Sooo like are you keeping this gear that you bought until you hit softcap lvl and upgrade it till then? Or whats going on. Plsss tell me im lost!!

So I'm new to the game, playing warrior as my first class.
Does this build apply to warriors as well? I haven't quite messed with the marketplace yet. Currently lvl 27 with a+7 liverto and a green quality vangertz shield. I haven't upgraded the shield since I've considered finding a blue one first. Haven't really worked on armor just yet as I don't really know what it is I want on this class.

You should have mentioned the "special deals" tab at the market so your viewers can save some money and get items that may otherwise be sold out.
I'd actually recommend that you don't buy any equipment as a beginner because 1) the enemies pre-50 are ridiculously easy to kill and 2) you get good equipment from Black Spirit quests anyways (including a +7 Bares weapon). I actually don't you need to buy, or really enhance anything, until 55/56.

Michael Yang The main storyline quest. The one where the quest line starts at the very beginning tutorial, and takes you around the world upgrading the spirit. Should be sorted under "main"
Ah, is there a specific point where he gives out the stones? Because I've be doing the main quest and haven't gotten a single one yet
