Today we go back to THE SECRET SATURDAYS, to analyze one of the most dangerous creatures to walk the earth. V.V Argost!! Secret Saturdays Content- • Secret Saturdays Content
One thing Zak mentioned in "War of the Cryptids" was an excessive rage that Argost's army had after Argost decided to wipe out humanity. Argost likely used the territorial natures, desire to eat, and fear of his Cryptids and just kept amplifying it across the episode
Vv Argost is one of my favorite villains of all time. I like how his entire plan changed once he learned about Zak Monday. Its awesome when villains also adapt to new information and have to work/overcome obstacles for their goals just like the heros. Argost is one of the best written cartoon characters when it comes to writing intelligence. Him using criptids without Kur’s power reminds me of how classic Vilgax tamed the Null guardians.
Yeah rewatching the series and the switch up after he realized Zak was useful was brilliant, and he never lied about what he was planning! His voice actor also just immensely helped drive home the classic monster movie voice too, he really was one of the best written characters on CN at the time
Secret Saturdays is so underrated and Argost is such a huge reason why. He’s so deliciously hammy and you can tell he’s actually having fun. And the twist of him being a cryptid himself is so brilliant
Kind of interesting the V.V. relies more on his insect cryptids for battle rather than his natural Yeti Strength. Dude is effectively a nine foot gorilla monster.
Remember this is the same universe as ben 10, so even if Argost killed Zach, he'd have a FAR more powerful problem to deal with down the line, and aliens aren't cryptids, so he'd have zero control over ben.
@@mechmaster315 1. You actually just made me think about it , I don't know if they had cable or if they had a TV and vhs tapes I assumed. 2. How did they have power for the TV?🤣 unless they stole a generator, then how'd they have gas for it 🤔
@@ThePsycheWard Also, who was the camera guy that Argost hired and got to be inside weird world? Argost is a villain, but he would be lying if he didn't enjoy the fame and adoration, he got from his TV show. I never once got the vibe he was trying to brainwash the populace; the show gave him an excuse to tease his enemies and slowly ease humanity into the cryptid world while allowing him to build a fanbase on topics he enjoyed discussing. His fans were just toxic and defensive to an extreme degree which begs the question of just how addicting his ''tales from the Crypt'' inspired TV show was?
V.V. Argost is one of the greatest cartoon villains ever made and it blew my mind when I first saw his true identity as a yeti: 10:45! Yes, that plot twist was amazing as Argost himself revealed to be a cryptid himself! 💯 Also kudos to the legendary voice actor Corey Burton for voicing this brilliant character! 👏😄👏😄 Awesome analysis video, makes me want to rewatch *The Secret Saturdays* again!
V.V Argost was always one of my favorite villains i always loved how he presented himself and how he fought his battles with creativity and using small creatures skills in interesting ways. Nice video!!
Always found it rather interesting how contradictory Argost's character is. Especially once he fully reveals himself as a Yeti. Being a cryptid, a Yeti, he is several times stronger than any human could hope to be and yet his greatest strength throughout the show *by far* is his intelligence and cunning. Which is honestly *really cool* in a manipulator villain like this And , arguibly, speaks a lot to how Argost probably feels about himself. He learns and copies the things & people around him so as to not feel inferior. But in this copying he only felt more inferior. His hammy persona and fame is the result of him learning from the monster movies he watched, all the creatures and minions he has just make up for the things he himself CAN'T do and even his Kur abilities were outright stolen from Zack Monday. Literally nothing he had was actually his own, or at least that's how he percieved, and it drove him nuts. That's why he was so obsessed with still being in the spotlight even after basically declaring war on humanity & having the power to end it all fairly quickly.
To the Ben 10/SS cross over, in the episode where the UFO secret scientist watches over Zac, he mentions the Galvans coming to earth. Reminds me of the Area 51 episode where Blukic and Driba arrive on earth. Though I have to ask why they are not directing working with the Plummers, especially since the earth Plummers are originally a secret organization with older roots as seen with Washington in the time travel episode. Really wish we got to see more of that, it was such interesting and unused lore
@@professorpengu502 good point. A lot of the aliens in B10 are what resulted in similar myths, it maybe that the fan in different circles or it is the difference between terrestrial vs extra terrestrial
Imagine what would happen case Jay Stephens, and James Cameron got into the same room! The layered/technical worldbuilding, true progress, and engaging story. Not wish see him gone under! ;)
Vv Argost actually stole the flute recording during the battle of Washington DC. That U.F.O obsessed Secret Scientist replicated the exact pitch and rhythm of the flute to use against both Zack and Argost. He even patted himself on the back for being such a "genius;" which he was, but man was he absolutely obnoxious to be around.
Well I am super late! I did not expect you to put up this vid relatively soon. I very much enjoyed it. Great analysis, neatly put together and easy to listen to. You touched on every aspect of Argost. Thanks for the shoutout :> Argost as you said had a very fitting end I love how the show was faithful to his charachter till the end. I just wish we could have seen a slower build up to the season finale, the second season could have been longer but oh well..I am pretty sure you touched on that at some point on your chanell.. Keep it up ! I am glad I was able to follow your chanell for so long.
Awesome analysis amigo. Many people say that this show should've aired later, because then, just everyone would get obsessively hooked! Wouldn't that undermine the hibagon episodes' massage?
Ooooo a over view of a show I barely got to watch but was overly obsessed with ? Yeeeppp you got a sub ! WAIT ARGOS IS A FUCKIN YETI ?!!!! ( as you can tell I never finished the series 😅)
You now it’s funny but yess that is what makes the secret saderdays unique if you think about they did actually defeat Argus he really was super to them and in the end really truly defeated them. He was ultimately undaun not in battle or thaw any machinations of the heroes but really truly only by him self
hej i have a question i am watcing toriko but there are only 100eps of toriko but online it says that there are 147 pes of toriko but i cant find dem for some reason. can someone help me

I find it funny that he and Xing-Xing managed to find cable out in the snow

It's nice to see people talking about the Secret Saturdays and VV Argost. I loved that show and Argost was such a great underrated villain.
Argost is really out here throwing hands still in his "mummified " mum ra form. Nahh hes a menance full stop

Commentary on old cartoons from my childhood to the musical backdrop of synthwave. Love it!
All credit to White Bat Audio, their channel is godly 👌
Argost has to be one of the most delight to watch Super Villains I've ever seen

Secret Saturdays is so underrated
No other show like it
It truly is.
He always reminded me of a of a more twisted verision of Zanatos from gargoyles a step of everyone and even when he lost he still came out ahead
Good comparison! You actually just dug up some old memories I'm gonna have to add gargoyles to the rewatch list 🤣
He only lost cuz he didnt know he cant have both kur powers
Eyes bigger than his stomach... soul idk 😂 he definitely had the win in the bag and got cocky.
@@ThePsycheWard u cant have matter kur and anti matter kur in the same place if he knew he would have just killed him
we will NOT discuss the ben 10 omniverse episode where argost returns, it did not happen.
thats why i cut it from the video lmaooo
We don't talk about Omniverse.

What does V.V. stand for in his name? Is it just to symbolize the fangs?
@@PunishedTrouserSnake stands Vincent Vladislav, but that's a cool symbolism with the fangs 8 never thought about it that way
