HAHA i KNOW, RIGHT! We considered doing a video just on that guy, and we have a lot of really random shrimp in our fish room! This comment gives us an idea for a complication video of all our funky shrimp! Thanks very much, woodsman your comment gave us happiness and ideas :) That shrimp kinda saved the video :)
Great vid, I got 3 of them two weeks ago and they act very shy and reserved. Adding cover for the light will make them more active or the only option is to get more of them?
Thanks for the question, we found ours to be shy as well but were much better with pretty much any other nano fish, do you have other fish in with them?
Thanks very much as always, I can see why some might see these as a bit of a dull fish but our goal is to cover every fish if we live long enough and these are a nice little hardy fish if you like a more silver fish :)
About 8 ish years ago I had a 400ltr setup with Golden Mbuna Cichlid (Melanochromis auratus), Yellow Labs with some large Banded Leporinus and a stunning HUGE Six Banded Distichodus but life got a bit hectic (web development career) and I ended up giving up on the hobby for around 2 years, the only period in my life since 5 where I haven't had fish! How about you??
Good luck with them. If you have enough tiny caves and crevices, you will start to see surprise fry ducking in and out, much like with the barb fry we just found! When we get a bigger house, we are planning to triple our aquariums, so we will hopefully be able to keep them again as they are stunning and comparable to marine fish in colours!
Yea kinda agree, the main reason we brought them was to get some photos for our website lol They are good smaller alternative to the Red Eye Tetra if you like a mainly sliver fish!?
I’m putting together a video at the moment of these fish breeding and also how to grow the fry on. For information, the fish spawn over a period of time with the female releasing eggs each day until her cycle is over… th-cam.com/video/yeq9i9-B-JI/w-d-xo.htmlsi=KZsc6dzS0qMqFRtj FTAO Aquadiction
Sounds like any interesting video Paul, def tag us when you publish as would love to watch! If any our footage is any good for you to reuse please do so, although I don’t think we did them justice personally! Very best of luck 😀👌👍

How many Reed Tetras can be in a 20 gallon tank?
Will they be kept alone? Any other tank mates?
👍😃
Have you ever kept mbuna
