Welcome to my Advanced Custom Fields tutorial for WordPress.
If you’re not familiar with what Advanced Custom Fields or “ACF” is, then you’ve been missing out.
WordPress, as great and popular as it is as a content management system, has never focused on building a simple system for custom fields - ACF has helped fill this gap.
ACF is, in my opinion, one of the most important plugins you can use as a developer in WordPress.
ACF removes the complexity of adding custom field functionality into your WordPress theme.
If you’ve ever tried creating the functionality of custom fields directly into a plugin or theme, you would know that it is very time consuming. ACF provides you with all of the functionality required for custom fields to display on the admin, and a simple API to display it on the front end of your website using PHP.
So what are custom fields? Well - put simply, they allow you to add custom data to your WordPress website. That data is stored in the database, so you can display it anywhere you want, you can truly build some very customised interfaces VERY easily.
If you’re a web developer and want to provide simple fields for your clients to update their website, ACF is perfect for you.
There are two versions of ACF. A free and a premium version. In this series, I will using the PRO version - however, you can follow along with the FREE version - and if the software helps you, I would definitely recommend purchasing it.
Each video in this series will cover a different field type in ACF - and show you how to implement it as well as different ways it can be used.

Pozdrav Dusane! Da li bi bio voljan da podelis sa mnom kako radis, sta koristis od pluginova u WP-u? Da li kombinujes ACF sa Elementorom ili koristis neki drugi page builder? Od skoro sam na nekoj praksi, imam podrsku pri ucenju PHP-a, ali WP manje vise na svoju ruku ucim. Dobro bi mi dosao neki savet od nekoga ko godinama vec radi u WP-u :)

Good Video, thanks! I had a query, what if you change the sequnce in edit page screen and add textarea_with_image section/block in between two content sections/blocks? Will it load on front end in the sequence that we arrange in admin edit screen? Or will it be as per the sequence of php code on php file?

Hello, my issue is that my web designer used just the flexible content tool to build my services page. In the normal content box, there is just the title of the page which is the service we are offering and thus our main keyword. When I check the Yoast SEO plugin, it does not read the flexible contents. So my questions are does the google bot read the flexible content as the normal content? and how can I make the seo analyze the flexible content ?

I had a question about using the repeater field on multiple places on the page can this be done with just one flexible content, suppose i have a banner then 3column repeater then another section and then another 3column repeater, will this work with the same flexible content row layout
when changing other section position it is not reflecting . how can we do that?
I really want this as a freelance web developer but $250 a year is too much, guess I'll just design the page before hand and let them edit the content with standard ACF until I have enough clients.
