This has been beautifully done. As a teen, slightly drunk and very stoned sitting in the sunshine on a long driveway with friends, outside a factory unit, roller door wide open will the wall spinning on the turntable. Every decade or so it's worth a serious visit alongside the wall with a belly full of beer and ears wide open. Reminds you of what life could be, it could always be worse. So get up tomorrow and leave the walls behind.
I wasn't ever expecting to see this return. It is fantastic, and I haven't forgotten it even though it's been down for years. My hat is off to you, for you did something amazing with this.
I dare say this is better than the original album why some of these songs did not make the original cut is beyond me the empty spaces rocks absolutely love it

I agree lost a lot of the true atmosphere by not keeping full version, I can bet it was recording company choice an in there defence they wanted to sell then and wernt interested in the cult of all classics it became but atleast we have movie, It’s better than most bands they had to scrap an it was never seen again
Mother, Young Lust and Comfortably Numb are beautifully made in the movie. Mother with that pause and way more calm theme, Young Lust with the intensity and Pink's insane laughter and Comfortably Numb with that guitar solo that's accompannied by Pink screaming in pure agony.
One of the best films ever. Lots of real messages that impacted me for my life. Can't see it high and get what the movie is about. Thank you Pink Floyd, for The Wall.
I had the original, a gift from a sweet boyfriend in 1982, fully gift wrapped. the album changed my life! fun fact ... he doesn’t remember giving it to me 🤦♀️ we are still friends to this day
My man, this is the greatest online audio editing effort I've heard. The affects, from subtleties in some of the stereophonic affects, the putting together of different versions of songs from different areas, and overall how incredible it sounds for the audio. I'm certainly glad you gave attention to detail in presenting the versions of "In The Flesh" and "Waiting For The Worms" with the Bob Geldof vocals! I've always hoped that one day they would release those versions.
Vinyl had limitations in terms of how many songs could be included on each side. As a result of that, the band was forced to remove some songs and adjust others for time. The songs in the movie better represent what the album was supposed to be. Had CD's existed in 1979, it's possible that we would have got the proper version instead.

I'm so glad this is back up. I lost hope of ever hearing this again after checking every couple of months for three years. Looking at the comments it looks like it came back up shortly after I packed it in.
I first saw this movie in the early eighties, I bought it on DVD, long before pirates and it cost me the grand sum of £40! Roughly a weeks wages. The movie blew my mind.. At the time my father was very ill.. We cared for him at home. He also served in the Second World War, same as Rogers Father. My Dad came home, Rogers didn’t. Long before I was made aware this movie was partly about Rogers Father I used this movie as therapy during and after my Fathers death, why I have no idea.. My brother and I used to watch this... usually after too many beers.. TBH I’ve watched this film over 70 times and now 33 years later I’ve become a huge Floyd fan, just have happy memories of my Dad And learned to play the lead on Comfortably Numb. Funny where your journey takes you...
There's 2 genius of music.one is Mozart's Requiem and pink Floyd's the wall. Brilliance of every note. Can't listen to it without headphones and max volume. Great to hear it again. Thanks for sharing your effort with us.
I've been busy tweeking your creation... it gave me an excellent base to work from. First, I just had to have the longer versions of the songs that were shortened... lots of cutting and pasting, to not lose the film versions attributes. Second, I don't like the song "We'll Meet Again" where it was... I prefer it to be at the very end, with an echo added (to make it sound dreamy and from another time) and faded out about a minute and a half in... making it kind of a hidden track. My favorite take away from all this, is "What Shall We Do Now?" Every time I watch the movie, I think "Where the hell is that song on the album?" Now, everything is right in the world!
We deal here with the OST, not the Ultimate Wall with every full and complete version of every song possible to stuck in. The Wall '79 is The Wall '79 and The Wall OST '82 is The Wall OST '82. There were differences and they must stay. To mix all together isn't necessary. I now have two versions and to my mind and taste they taste different and that is good and interesting. 2) To put We'll Meet Again at the end - someone has put it right: the symphonic version if Outside The Wall is the best and ultimate song for the ending credits. No need to add something further. And if you think, the theme of We'll Meet Again has something close to The Show Must Go On, something in the mood, some bitter irony here. Pink goes mad, he's Comfortably Numb - but that is not the end of the story, show must go on, we'll meet again. There is a Hate, but there is a Hope. Thank you for your attention.

I would say the version of Mother is exactly what it is - version for the film, it's cinematic. The original '79 version is more of a song, rock-ballad.

For die hard fans and completists - yes. Couple of new rearrangements, two unreleased songs, couple resung songs. Most if all the other stuff - edits and not very much differently soundind remixes of album versions. Not much for a new release.

@@rygdoomed442 Not that I've been able to find. You can use a TH-cam downloader to grab an MP3 of this video, and then use the cue file in my top comment to play it like you would any other album, assuming you have a digital music player that can read cue files.

I started to do this a while back but, I ran out of patience, trying to separate what wasn't separate and splice together what needed to be, and it didn't sound right! But this, too bad that this wasn't done back then, it would have been a nice trip! Now I'm too old to trip! But it is a nice mystical musical journey though! Thanks!
I loved this so much, I originally watched the movie with my child hood crush and we both adored it and it is still my favorite movie to this day so thank you so much for doing this.(I did notice on the song track you forgot to mention empty spaces despite the fact it's in this video)

I only came across this on Vinyl in the mid Eddies add a record convention I have never seen it since this is absolutely amazing I wish I had bought it when I had my hands on it
As I stated I found this album in an import section at a record convention it did not have this cover to it it had a blue cover and it was music from the film and I assume it is this same recording and I passed it up at the time because they wanted $30 for it
@@patricklena9307,ah, now i understand. I know this 2lp bootleg, it's called The Film. Yes it's rather good edit from the movie audio track, only in mono, for some reason. I had it and I like it. Actually this project of mine i've made having this The Film boot in memory and wanting to make it much better and in stereo.
@@patricklena9307 You can still find vinyl copies on eBay, pretty pricey, as well as CD copies of it. I recently won an auction for the CD at $ 55. I had an original 80's vinyl one that got damaged, so it needed a replacement. Thanks to Schlomo for this project.

Songs were cut for time because of the limits of audio reproduction media when the album was released.
Empty spaces was printed on some of the lp sleeves was left out due to space limitations.
Even the way in the flesh in sang is better in the film in my opinion. More emotive and fits better in context

Really wish the album version had the full version of what shall we do. The last part is so badass
Vinyl had limitations in terms of how many songs could be included on each side. As a result of that, the band was forced to remove some songs and adjust others for time. The songs in the movie better represent what the album was supposed to be. Had CD's existed in 1979, it's possible that we would have got the proper version instead.

I first saw this movie in the early eighties, I bought it on DVD, long before pirates and it cost me the grand sum of £40! Roughly a weeks wages. The movie blew my mind.. At the time my father was very ill.. We cared for him at home. He also served in the Second World War, same as Rogers Father. My Dad came home, Rogers didn’t. Long before I was made aware this movie was partly about Rogers Father I used this movie as therapy during and after my Fathers death, why I have no idea.. My brother and I used to watch this... usually after too many beers.. TBH I’ve watched this film over 70 times and now 33 years later I’ve become a huge Floyd fan, just have happy memories of my Dad And learned to play the lead on Comfortably Numb. Funny where your journey takes you...

There's 2 genius of music.one is Mozart's Requiem and pink Floyd's the wall. Brilliance of every note. Can't listen to it without headphones and max volume. Great to hear it again. Thanks for sharing your effort with us.
Bravo sir... been looking for a listenable version for a while... this exceeded my expectations.
I've been busy tweeking your creation... it gave me an excellent base to work from. First, I just had to have the longer versions of the songs that were shortened... lots of cutting and pasting, to not lose the film versions attributes. Second, I don't like the song "We'll Meet Again" where it was... I prefer it to be at the very end, with an echo added (to make it sound dreamy and from another time) and faded out about a minute and a half in... making it kind of a hidden track. My favorite take away from all this, is "What Shall We Do Now?" Every time I watch the movie, I think "Where the hell is that song on the album?" Now, everything is right in the world!
We deal here with the OST, not the Ultimate Wall with every full and complete version of every song possible to stuck in. The Wall '79 is The Wall '79 and The Wall OST '82 is The Wall OST '82. There were differences and they must stay. To mix all together isn't necessary. I now have two versions and to my mind and taste they taste different and that is good and interesting.
2) To put We'll Meet Again at the end - someone has put it right: the symphonic version if Outside The Wall is the best and ultimate song for the ending credits. No need to add something further.
And if you think, the theme of We'll Meet Again has something close to The Show Must Go On, something in the mood, some bitter irony here. Pink goes mad, he's Comfortably Numb - but that is not the end of the story, show must go on, we'll meet again. There is a Hate, but there is a Hope.

I would say the version of Mother is exactly what it is - version for the film, it's cinematic. The original '79 version is more of a song, rock-ballad.

I think it wasn't done by group because there's nit much really new stuff to put out for a wide public - as a new product with PF name on it, as a "new and fresh" thing. For die hard fans and completists - yes.
Couple of new rearrangements, two unreleased songs, couple resung songs. Most if all the other stuff - edits and not very much differently soundind remixes of album versions. Not much for a new release.
@@shlomopolonsky I think so many of the songs are superior to the studio album. I wonder if Waters didnt like Bob geldof's superior version of in the flesh! I heard geldof had to insist to sing with his own voice! Waters was going to dub over!!!!!

I understand you. Our taste is very much connected to our listening first listening experiences and impressions, which become habit. And habit is our second nature, as they say)
I'd love see this as a track-separated download (FLAC or gapless MP3). Why this soundtrack with its alternate versions of songs has never been officially released boggles my mind.

@@rygdoomed442 Not that I've been able to find. You can use a TH-cam downloader to grab an MP3 of this video, and then use the cue file in my top comment to play it like you would any other album, assuming you have a digital music player that can read cue files.
Great job. One of my favorite albums and movies. It's the height surrealism that this movie, the movie Idiocracy, and the movie Robocop's depiction of Detroit would all become truth.
I started listening to the movie soundtrack on Spotify it claimed but it started "When the tigers broke free then they just played The Wall Album! What a let down!

I started to do this a while back but, I ran out of patience, trying to separate what wasn't separate and splice together what needed to be, and it didn't sound right! But this, too bad that this wasn't done back then, it would have been a nice trip! Now I'm too old to trip! But it is a nice mystical musical journey though! Thanks!
I loved this so much, I originally watched the movie with my child hood crush and we both adored it and it is still my favorite movie to this day so thank you so much for doing this.(I did notice on the song track you forgot to mention empty spaces despite the fact it's in this video)

And speaking about Empty Spaces: E.S. is included on the original '79 album. The song What Shall We Do Now? (which has very similar to ES first part) was also recorded for the album but wasn't included - until it's found its place instead of ES in the movie, in '82.

I only came across this on Vinyl in the mid Eddies add a record convention I have never seen it since this is absolutely amazing I wish I had bought it when I had my hands on it

As I stated I found this album in an import section at a record convention it did not have this cover to it it had a blue cover and it was music from the film and I assume it is this same recording and I passed it up at the time because they wanted $30 for it
@@patricklena9307,ah, now i understand. I know this 2lp bootleg, it's called The Film. Yes it's rather good edit from the movie audio track, only in mono, for some reason. I had it and I like it. Actually this project of mine i've made having this The Film boot in memory and wanting to make it much better and in stereo.

@@patricklena9307 You can still find vinyl copies on eBay, pretty pricey, as well as CD copies of it. I recently won an auction for the CD at $ 55. I had an original 80's vinyl one that got damaged, so it needed a replacement. Thanks to Schlomo for this project.
