Ive been hollering BS on AR-RPM9 for awhile now , glad to have some back up on the point now.
I've been putting baby powder on my strop board for years. It makes the edge a lot stronger & the edge retention is WAY better. 😏👌
😝😝
Ha! Just watched the same video. Very clear and comprehensive 😊
Absolutely 💯
The perfect follow-up

I totally want a Parmesan porkrind knife.
Never bought a cjrb because of the plastic caged bearings kinda a cheap way to cut costs imo but that steel never sat right with me felt kinda hype to me 😊
$95 bucks! I have the same exact one (Tan Micarta) but my blade isn't coated!
Not the same exact one, then, is it?
😆 😆 👍👍
Awesome!
haha thanks my man 👊👊
I feel vindicated for getting my Pyrite in Damascus.
😆 😆
Still the king of knife shitposting
wait, who?? 😝
I'd rather spend my money on other powdered material
Good video 😊
Outpost 76 tested ArRPM9 and was not impressed, not on par with any super steel. Don’t remember specifics.
Yep need to hear from all of em about it, if only both of em were in the car to help make sense of all this so I can find peace and be able to enjoy my rhubarb colletta before throwin away my CJRBs
you don’t have a powdered steel, it’s average. That’s the whole point of everything
@BirdShotIV correct but I need to hear about it from each and every last channel. I had to postpone the colletta so it doesn't tear right through me
Not sure why this has been such a topic I never considered ARRPM9 to be anything more than Slightly special 9cr13 especially for the price of it lol Still a good steel in my opinion
it’s an ok steel, it’s just marketed incorrectly
@BirdShotIV Fair Spray Form Steel is still cool should have just marketed as that, lol
p - cheese steel ? I watched a vid of a guy make a sharp knaf from cardboard !
You could certainly strop a blade from cardboard… perhaps a champion steel like 7cr could be sharpened?
Your lunch is pork rinds an parmesan cheese? Bro!
AR-RPM9 = FAFO7
Huge props to Larrin for batting this BS out of the park!
Next time a knife is made better add some parmesan cheese to the melt . Made to cut cheese 😂.
More than Artisan uses AR-RPM9, RoseCraft also uses it in their modern folders.
isn’t Artisan the OEM behind RoseCraft knives?
Wooo
3rd 🥉
I used to be into powdered material a lot... Cocaine is a helluva drug!! 😳😂
omg lol
Increases euphoria
Hmmm, just bought my first AR-RPM9 blade last week...😶
oops 😅
Do you guys own any knives in this steel?
That's a pretty good steel actually. And you get knives with that steel for budget prices.
it’s not a bad “mid-level” steel as we say, just not what you think your getting
It would be like buying a quart of Castrol GTX inside a bottle of Mobil 1.
But then, it’s priced at GTX prices so you think you’re making out awesome
@@BirdShotIV Well, AR-RP M9 knives are almost always more affordable than S35VN knives. So yes S35VN is better but you mostly don't pay the same.
@@cintage yes, but the buyer thinks they are getting something just as good
@@BirdShotIV Perhaps. And that is not OK. I agree.
Shrug I just put it on par with like d2/440c/vg10 decent steel that’s completely adequate for normal day to day tasks of breaking down cardboard/ cutting tape
Midday hey
👊👊
I'm not as intelligent on knife steels as most are as I understood along time ago arrpm9 was just powdered d2. I like cjrb and artisan will still buy from them and keep my collection.
It’s not powdered d2, what everyone believed was that it was something like powder formed 9cr. The ‘scandalous’ thing is that it isn’t even powder formed at all but spray formed which is a less advanced technology that doesn’t provide the fine grain structure of a powder formed steel
From the kitchen table. Huh?
🤣🤣👊👊
PizzA
Teriyaki Chicken
Funny you bring up the cheese! FYI… read the ingredients! If there is cellulose in it know that’s powdered wood!😂 Fact!
Increases Edge Retention 😉
✌👍✌👍✌👍
You're forgiven... 😅
😆😆👊👊
Ahhhh ..... I just grabbed hot honey pretzels for a lunch snack this morning....... good stuff
break it down to a powder and you’ll have better hardness characteristics 👍👍😝😝
Yummy grated "parmesan cheese". Enjoy the 4% wood pulp in there.
hopefully it increases hardness?? 😝
Hey 👋
1st 🥇
Knife steel type is just one factor. Hardness, blade grind, and edge grind are just as tantamount. And that's not even getting into handle design!🤣
Lol... i started watching his video and only made it about 30 percent through. It was a bit boring, and i had some work emails to send.
😆😆 1.5 speed….
I want somme powdered HOT pepper in my steel... to make the knife Hotter 😁😎
Hell yes 😝😝
Did you look at the ingredients on the Parmesan cheese? Bet it says cellulose, better known as SAWDUST!😂
Sawdust is good for corrosion resistance 👊👊 😝😝
I always figured it was just some marketing fluff, and it was really just random Chinese steel in the D2 or 8/9 CR...range.
The Chinese telling lies! Who’d have thought! God knows whats in Elon’s Batteries! 😂
😣😣
AND I HOPE RUSSEL WASN'T IN ON IT
Probably not
He could move brands pretty easily
he SHOULD maybe think about moving brands…
That video needs to be redone. At least 3 times you said powdered material when you meant to say metallurgy! Frankie is needed to keep you straight. I’m actually more confused about powdered steel than before the help video. Love the channel. My favorite TH-cam channel of all time! Later!
Do you remember which video that was? I’ll take it down to avoid further embarrassment 😝
The one I just commented on. Maybe just do a Bird and Frankie reaction video to the one that you referenced. I’m really curious now about the meaning of powdered steel. Makes no sense to me. Looking forward to next video…
Comment on it again, can’t find it
@@BirdShotIV I’m talking about today’s video with the Parmesan Cheese…
@@LuckyNPete oh jeez, I finally got it lol
Forgive me again, I’m slow
