I'm not a polymer chemist but I think the retention time gives you info about the molecular weight of the eluting polymer chains and the area under each signal depends on the number of molecules with a given molecular weight. Edit: Also remember there is 6.022 × 10²³ molecules in one mol.
How GPC measure molecular weight- even 1 mol of polymer is not present in sample solution?
