It's good to believe in yourself, but for this case, unless you are already comfortable/familiar with the sense of speed and know how to gauge your surroundings/reaction at higher speeds, I would not recommended going full gas just yet. Gradually build up the speed, and get accustomed to it bit by bit, then you'll know how to handle your bike at different speeds. Enjoy your bike, ride safe & safe ride!
The older models (2010) have slightly more power at the top end compared to the new generation ones, but this type of bike is not about top speed anyway.
love the quality of this bike its awesome but top speed is too low, slower than naked 700-800cc bikes. cmon man its a racing bike , i'd expect at least 230-240km
Yes it's fun to ride.. The older generations of the 650 could reach around 220, but I believe they detuned it for better comfort/throttle and maybe all that Euro 5 emissions what-nots. Also it's not in the racing bike category..
Ninja 500 i got 184kmh in Australia (Euro 5 45hp not like America 51hp) I'm curious if the 650l is same being corked up as I am looking at either 500 40th anniversary or a 2025 650 krt. (Love the 40th colours except for 650 40th) I'm sure I'd like the extra torque vs looks and I have a 500 already so I am undecided
Honestly I don't think you gain much going from the Ninja 500 to Ninja 650. I would recommend something else if you are looking for an upgrade. If not into supersport like the ZX-6R, how about the Ninja 1000.
Please NEVER pass on the right lane near exits like that. Youre gonna meet your end to some asshole who almost passed their exit and panick launches themself over to the exit lane.
@@CaptAra Do you mean in terms of speed and acceleration? Definitely different. The Ninja 1000 would be much quicker and faster for sure, consumes more fuel though.
What you see in this video is the standard full speed of the new Ninja 650, you can unlock more performance by dyno tuning it with either a piggyback ECU like Dynojet, or ECU flashing like Woolich system..
@@thesighbored ohhh ok than you sadly I can’t because it s ilegal in france lmaoo but 200km/h it s right . I love your videos Kawasaki ninja 650 are my fav moto
@@TyrantRaptor365 The Ninja 650 is a nice bike to ride, not overpowered but not too weak either. Nice handling for enjoying the twisty roads or just cruising on the highway. Thanks for your support!
How does the bike feel at or near the top speed? Any stability issues or random rattling or wobbling? It looks pretty stable in the video. What about vibrations ? Especially through the hands and seat. Would you say they're negligible or rather noticeable?
It felt stable and smooth at full gas and passing other vehicles/switching lanes, I didn't tuck behind the windshield but I did not feel blasted by too much wind either. The vibrations were very minimal but if you were riding it for long period, it could become a bit more noticeable in the longer riding time. There's a full review video on the channel, you can have a look at that if you have time.
300 touches that in best case scenario. Tailwinds, rider tucked in, etc. Also to note is the speedo error which is about 5% for the 300, actual GPS speed is less. 650 should cross 200 if rider tucked in. Making parallel twin cylinders bigger reduces top end because each cylinder is now heavier and experiences more inertia with every direction change. But torque difference is significant between the two. Also to note is how much time both bikes take to hit 190, that's where the usability factor comes in. 190 on the 300 is useless, brakes are bad and you need a really long stretch to achieve it
No standard Kawasaki Ninja or Z 650 could go past 230 km/h standard, maybe your meter or GPS needs calibrating. But if you insist it's past 250 km/h you can race with ZX-6Rs easily, regardless of the HP datasheet.
It is yes, from 0-150kmph they are really similar with the 650 having a little edge over the zx4r. From 150kmph to top speed the zx4r will accelerate more and will go to about 230-35 kmph. That said if you're in the States or in Canada be warned that the bike is nerfed due to emission laws. It goes from 77hp to 56hp. So you'll need a ECU flash and change the exhaust system to get the power back to the bike. Which make the bike not that legal if you go through an inspection. Take all I say with a grain of salt, I'm no expert, but I did a lot of researches since I wanted one. Got myself a 650 in the end, less of an asshassle for my first bike. Might go for a zx6r in two or three years though. :)
If you maintain the cruising speed and keep it smooth.. Easily 250km per full tank. City riding is very hard to determine depending on traffic conditions and how you ride.
@okami_linux_gaming 650cc with 15L of fuel.. 250km and above is plenty good.. If you ride smooth it could reach 300.. It all depends on how you ride it.. If you are always punching it off the traffic light stop for sure your consumption would not be great..
@okami_linux_gaming You can get 300km oer tank, but depends on how you ride the bike.. If you ride on the ECO mode symbol on the dash all the time then yes you can get close to that.
Definitely can unlock a bit more performance, however the way the bike is purpose built is for the low-mid nice smooth acceleration and not focused on top end power for daily use.
Yes the older ones are faster, but the newer ones having a smoother power delivery in the low end. Older ones tend to be choppy at lower end. I guess they engineered it to be comfort over performance.
