You are one of the BEST tutorialists (I know, made that up) ever! You go at a perfect speed, explain necessary components and don’t overkill on the why’s and wherefore’s. Great job! 😊
Just a note to say I figured out the problem! (I was lifting up the Apple Pencil and getting the unwanted overlay effect). Thank you again for the great videos!
Oh you’re right!!, but that was the last thing I would thought, I was looking hard in the settings 😅. I’m glad you solved that! Thank you for the feedback on the video as well.
I appreciate you taking your time to let me know this! Makes my day to know I was able help🤗. love sharing knowledge! Hopefully I can begin making videos again, school has me on my toes.
Yay!! Thanks for sharing that!!🥳 Please come back for more, I will resume procreate tutorials this summer, I am a full time teacher and student right now so it’s a little hard to make videos at this moment.
Your teaching style is terrific! Thank you for reviewing where we should be at during the process. I look forward to learning more about creating brushes from you. New subscriber!
Thank you! This made my day! 😃And Yes please come back for more I am planning on resuming tutorials this summer. I am currently in school and working full time as a teacher so it’s been a little hard to make new tutorials at this time.
Hi Zuri. Thank you again for this video. I have been watching it again to wrap my head around how to make a diagonal gingham pattern and/or an argyle plaid pattern. I have not figured it out yet. Have you tried this yet? If so, do you have a video? The ways that grey, black and white work when making brushes in Procreate has my brain twisted up in knots! Thanks for any guidance you can provide.
You're amazing. Such a helpful tutorial. How can I make it so this has 3 or four colour configured so I don't have to colour. I want when I use the brush it already has the multicolour palette that I want.
Hello! Thanks a lot! I’m honored to read this comments. Do you mean the same brush with several different colors at the sane time? So the shape and grain of the brush has only has black, white and shades of gray that turn into hues from the color you pick, not like actual different colors. What I have done before is combine several brushes, that way I can customize the colors and make the pattern to my taste. Is more work but it’s possible to get the end results. I hope I understood your question. Please let me know if you discovered something else!
Thank you so much for this great tutorial! I was wondering, however, if you could help -- I cannot seem to get an even coloring with the brush, meaning it lightens when I color over previous strokes. My layer is on normal blend mode. The brush is on multiply, but I don't seem to have an option for normal. ( It's auto setting is multiply but normal is not in the list of choices for blend mode.) I made the brush successfully once, then made a tweak that caused the unwanted effect, then made it again to fix it, following the video, but got the same mistake. Any ideas what I did wrong?
Hey, thanks for letting me know you enjoyed this tutorial! Made my day to read that🤗. About your question, I think in Procreate that’s not posible with only one brush, (if you put colors on the image you are using as grain, it’ll just translate to gray when you put it in the brush studio, (then when you use the brush, those gray tones will just be a variation of the color you picked). However, it may be posible to obtain a colorful pattern by combining to or more brushes. I will do my best to explain this on a tutorial.
@@ZuriAngellozDigitalArt Thank you , yes I had ordered a set that was 1 pattern but you used 2 or 3 brushes, but Im not sure how she made them and I want to be able to make my own so bad.
Creating the brush I have copied. Went in brush grain, but there is no paste button. The only thing I see is import? Which goes to files? What should I do?

Hi love this tutorial but do you know how to make a brush that you can do 2 or more colors? And could you do a tutorial

Hi, so yes you will tap on import and it should open a drop down menu, that’s when you see the option to Paste. This applies for both shape and grain.
