2004 year of the Monkey presentation of DRAGON KING'S PALACE at CLEVELAND MUSEUM
One of 41 public performances and student workshops, one of the biggest cultural exchange programs in history promoting Beijing Opera by Ghaffar Pourazar's Monkey King troupe presented by International Center for Beijing Opera(www.beijingopera.info)
There is not a single Chinese person who does"t know or love the Monkey King.
HAVOC IN DRAGON KING'S PALACE
The monkey learns that the Dragon King of the Eastern Ocean has decent weapons. He makes his way passed the stubborn Turtle and swordfish to find the Dragon King. He tries all the heavy weapons and finds nothing suitable.
In order to get rid of the monkey, the dragon Princess promises the monkey the gigantic treasure needle, the stabilizer of the Eastern Ocean. The dragon king doesn't know that the monkey has learnt the transformation magic. The monkey uses his magic to reduce the gigantic needle into his famous monkey staff. The Dragon Princess and the water army fight the monkey to get it back.
The only English word the monkey king says is Bye-bye！
