  • Looking for where to off road in Wisconsin? There aren't many Jeep trails in Wisconsin. Embarrass River Campground & OHV Park is likely what you're looking for! In this video we show you what you can expect from this offroad park.
    Nestled on the outskirts of the town of Tigerton, this off road park offers world class jeep, OHV, and 4x4 trails.

    Nice video! For those wondering about the full size trucks, this park was built with state ATV registration funds. Up until a few years ago, it was ATV / UTV only. Thankfully they expanded and allowed 4WD and motorcycles in the park to bring in a more diverse crowd. Because this was built as an ATV park originally, they had to put the restrictions on the trails.

    I must say it's a little upsetting to hear they don't accept full size rigs.. I off-road in a full size Tundra and I've never been anywhere that turned away full size rigs... What a bummer

    Nice video! I'm working on my build and my Ironman ATS will ship on the 20th. I've been looking for places reasonably closely and this fits the bill, I'm 80 mi. away! I'm going to check, but I'm assuming that a Forester isn't full size...

    Can you guys please do a video talking about the 4Runner versus FJ for over landing, pros and cons of each, and which you prefer and why? I feel you guys are in the perfect position to make an unbiased review since you actively drive both, and both vehicles are very built out.

    Looks like a lot of fun! I'll have to try this place out. I'm saving up for a Jeep WJ and will be modifying it while still keeping it suitable as a daily driver. I heard they require spark arrestors on all vehicles is that true? I thought those were just for dirt bikes and atv's? Why would they require those on 4x4's?

    Nice that they limit tire and vehicle size. Bigger tires mean deeper ruts and impassable for the smaller tire vehicles.

      The objective is to rock out the trails first to keep them sustainable before looking at the heavier or longer rigs. It'll also take more volunteers and staff to manage the increased trail and campground maintenance. Step one, we did this as our club only. Step 2 we introduced the first public park to a limited amount of rigs and riders. The rest will be determined by the help and funding along with safety records and such before the village would allow more.

    Minnesota is kind of the same deal, we have Gilbert OHV park Appleton OHV park and not much else, there is some cool stuff up in the arrowhead region but alot of the stuff people do here can be done by wifes Venza. Gilbert off road park is pretty cool and there is some pretty difficult stuff up there to give you a challenge, we should meet up sometime and head up that way, there is also some good "overlandy" type stuff in the area with some nice boondock camping on rivers and miles of forest road to explore.

      We mapped some amazing overlanding routes in MN this weekend. Absolutely stunning!! There are some really neat MN routes to confirm north as well we'll be listing as part of the Great Divide Overlanding Experience. GDOE is a very ambitious project to map a tour from Canada to the Gulf loosely following the Mississippi River basin. Here's where we're building the northern leg that includes a lot of MN rl4wd.com/directory/trail-systems/public-trails/greatdividenorthernleg

    Question when the drive shaft broke. How did he get home? I am a newbie I have a 07 FJ. Big question if someone had a issue with a broken shaft out in the outback what do you do? Do you two have a off road video on what to do when there is a broken drive shaft front or rear? what do you do in these what IF type issues and problem when off roading?

    • @ReimerKeith
      @ReimerKeith 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Four wheel drive becomes two wheel drive.

    • @WanderlostOverland
      @WanderlostOverland  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      He drove home in front wheel drive only. If a drive shaft breaks in an FJ (highly unlikely), the same can be done. If a front axle shaft breaks it has to be repaired before driving it anywhere.
