LOVE the More V4. It is my go to long run/easy peasy day shoe! Also had the V3 and still wear it for shorter runs because the shoe has a ton of miles and is no longer "max" cushion. Great video!
Thanks HuskyRunner! I really like this shoe, I just hit 269 miles in this same pair today and will easily go 300 in them. But for sure, with the miles on them they aren’t quite “max” anymore lol
Good practical review. I happened to find same colorway at a great price, also. Agree with all of your main points. I tend to do well with wide-soled, stable stuff and agree that this has good platform and 'geometry' for my stability needs. Coming from the v3, I wasn't so sure about the (v4) softer gap-heel. Early days, but it doesn't seem like a huge negative, thus far.
@@KyleMcCueRunning Well, unfortunately the pendulum quickly swung back into negative territory on the softer gap-heel, for me. Some unpleasant, and unfamiliar achilles irritation. In fairness to NB, I was getting a surprising level of "stability" satisfaction out of the firmer v3. The targeted neutral squish-lover, really isn't me. Bummed, because I don't know what might work next. Possibly 'Kayano 30' , but gotta hate the expensive trials that often fail.
To be very honest I saw soo many videos on this shoe but no one the fell of upper is like peg 38 but when I bought I felt the same…and also little narrow too but apart from this this is very good shoe..liked your review👍👍
My 1st time wearing these shoes I did a 10k and ended up with what I believe is turf toe (Symptom big toe feels sore and like it’s jammed although it’s not). I now have to take the following week off. Never had this issue before running my weekly 10k in my adidas Boston 12. I hope it gets better after being broke in.
Ow! Sorry to hear that happened in these. I really hope your feet can slowly make the transition to these so that you can get back to your weekly 10k’s 💪
Great shoe! Picked up the More v4 yesterday. Unfortunately, the 4E (extra wide) version is still $150 :( I regularly see D/regular wide on sale when a new model comes out but the discount hardly ever applies to the wider versions. Sadly seems like Asics is the only brands that regularly discounts the extra wide versions when the next iteration comes out.
I feel your pain on that. I got lucky on some v3 4Es, due to perfect timing at a brick & mortar place, but I would have done better in a slightly longer length if THAT had also been available. I had one salesperson tell me he didn't think the v4 was available in 4E, at all. If something is on the scarce side, tougher to find a good bargain.
If you're not very much concerned about the color, Amazon has them as low as $96.00 now. I had mine delivered a couple days ago. They're very good, indeed.
I love the V3 and V4. It's great for winter running, I find the V4 midsole doesn't go hard in cold temperatures and the grip is pretty decent. The upper is also warm which is good for winter. I only wish I sized up by half a size from my normal size as I find it runs slightly short, especially with thicker socks. The toe box was better in V3 as it was slightly wider. In Canada this is not a budget shoe. It's still $200 Canadian, definitely not a budget max cush shoe unless you find it on sale.
I see you trying to suggest I buy another pair of shoes.. funny thing is I just finished demolishing a pair of daily trainer/recovery shoes (those are the same for me) so I may be in the market.
I think that will be very doable, I just got the invincible 3’s for $97 at dicks and those retailed at $180. As new versions come out the sales are hot haha.
Just new to your channel, great to see a review about this shoe, by the way i'm size 9cm do i need to add 1cm to feel comfortable when i do long distance using this shoe? Thanks!
i always go true to size with both running and casual shoes. but often people do order a 1/2 size up for distance running because your feet swell after pounding on them for a bunch of miles.
Rly wanted to love this shoe but man, these things were so squirrely for me. I also found them to be way softer than the invincible 3. Also, I rolled the absolute piss out of my ankle, 6 days before a half, in these during a light rain. They are my hospital shoes now. Great for walking and getting blood on them 😂
Hey man! I'm curious if you run in warming temps? (I'm wondering if they felt less cushy for me because I was running through the winter - generally like 15-30 degrees F). But I really appreciate you sharing your thoughts here. Everyone truly has a different experience. Also, sorry about the ankle, that stinks! I feel ya, they are great work shoes. I'm back and forth now between these and the novablast 25's as my "everyday work" shoe.
It’s kind of a long ramble but figured keep a lot in there and maybe it will help some folks decide if it’s a good fit for them 🤘🏻 thanks for the comment!
Hi, I love your content. I recently bought these shoes because I really liked how they felt when I tried them on in the store. However, after wearing them for a while, I've experienced heel fatigue and a strange pain in the arch of my foot. It seems the inner part of the midsole has a very pronounced arch that is causing discomfort. I'm wondering if anyone else has experienced this and could share their feedback, or if it might just be an issue specific to me. Thanks.
High production value video. I wish your channel gets more subs and views.
I really appreciate that!

Bummer, I’m sure it’s an inventory decision but I hope more wide shoes start going on sale for ya

A lot of good info in your comment! I had no idea it was so pricey outside the states. Appreciate your comment ✌🏻
In Germany offical price is 160 Euro but i got mine (half a year ago) on discount for 65 Euro. For around 100 Euro you get them easy in Europe.
Add to it the fact that the average salary in the US is more then in Canada. @@KyleMcCueRunning

👀 👀 haha, no pressure!
I'm keeping an eye out for a good sale price under $100 and I'll be buying a second pair, I enjoy them quite a bit.

@@KyleMcCueRunning definitely softer in hot temps (like most EVA foams) but even too soft for me during the early winter when I bought these shoes.

I wouldn’t call them budget, but they’re great tho
Someone told me to watch review by John McPee. But I stumbled upon your channel. (If that joke doesn’t land, this is a very awkward comment)
i dont' get it lol
@@KyleMcCueRunningyour name is Kyle McQue. Like the letter Q instead of the letter P. Twas a terrible joke. 😭

Would this work as a stability shoe?
Some folks have had issues with how soft they are (I didn’t) but you may want to look at other options.
