A top class performance by the winner. City of Troy probably needed the run but I doubt he’d have won if he’d been at his best. O'Brien is a great trainer, but he has never trained a great horse on the flat. I don't follow National Hunt racing so I wouldn't know much about Istabraq.
Why does Aidan continue to worry about giving a horse a prep before the big day every year. O'Brien does the same garbage every year. He should give the horse an opportunity to get a fitness test before the big day and the punter a chance to see if the horse has trained on. He cares little about the punter. His judgment is completely off in general. He's turning into a has being. He's a liability to back in the mickey mouse races early in the season because his horse's go off at 1/2 and are often unfit and can't win. Now he can't prepare horse's for proper races. People can defend his record in the past all they want. The reality is, as we speak, he's the biggest robber in racing. His horse's are either lacking a prep, unfit or placed in wrong races. This is very costly for punters who think a 4/6 is a 4/6. I'm afraid he's took the biscuit once too often. As a punter you can't keep looking at this level of ineptitude.

Scat Daddy also the sire of No Nay Never; none of his offspring get past the spring of their 3yo years
@@tomojay28Alcohol free won July cup at 4. But you have a point.
They are definitely better at 2, it's no secret as he is usually Champion sire for 2yo.
Boy, that leggy colt sure can fly
Notable Speech - Total Class 🏇
He left the O'Brien fan boys speechless.
Will City of Troy bounce back or another Arazi? Bodywise just looks dull and thinner than last year. His racing style and action also needs to waste so much to sustain.
I was speech less had little wager congrats to blues connections good ride Buick ,well done Charlie good bred horse .
AOB without Galileo as a sire is a huge loss. Running your horse as a 3yo in meydan or on the all weather is interesting prep, wonder if it takes off.
In fairness, Galileo has had a full crop of three year olds, it's only this year we will be seeing the latest few of his two year olds, as for the all weather, O'Brien does use it in Ireland and even ran Capulet over here, not to mention that Ace Impact made his first run as a unraced three year old on the all weather in France.
Whoever wins, the win becomes inevitable.....only after the race. Unfancied 16/1 shot.....but no one could live with his pace.....as if we all knew it. If only .....
Tough day for most punters but fantastic day for me, I made R19000(£800). I had him in a double with Seven Questions.
You are certainly a clever boy then.
@@davidfoster2006 What's that sound I hear?. Ah yes it's the unforgettable sound of boiling beans, go off & have dinner boy.
Another year and we won’t see a Triple Crown winner .
Majority of Obriens improve massively after first run. I do think he’s over hyped but still has a massive future. Auguste Rodin wasn’t nowhere near as hyped up but always well regarded and look what he’s achieved. But next Frankel?! There won’t be and I’m sorry, not in our lifetimes
I remember Agueste R last year ran a stinker..then something happen in the Next race..
Brough said on TV El Gran Senor was the best 2000 Guineas he d ever seen , surely he was around for Brigadier Gérard , Mill Reef and My Swallow , head and shoulders the best ever .
El gran senor guineas was the best
Where do Zafonic & Frankel Guineas rank?
Mill Reef and Brigadier Gerard were superior to anything in El Gran Senor's guineas. Chief Singer and El Grant Senor were outstanding horses. I don't think Lear Fan was at his best in the guineas, and Rainbow Quest was a middle distance horse. Not as good as the 71 guineas in my opinion, but each to their own.
No, Scott was absolutely right, El Gran Senor travelled effortlessly. Never in my lifetime has there been a more bloodless victory of course, The Derby was another story.
@@FuneemanAbsolutely, The great Brigadier Gerard beating beating the great Mill Reef has the edge over the good El Gran Senor beating the good Chief Singer.
Many talking about COT’s failure but Notable Speech would have rinsed him even if he performed. Buick didn’t have to get going until late in the race, superb energy.
I hope Notable Speech goes to the epsom derby and wins it

Fuckin spoofers Aidan and "THE LADS"
Every horse Aiden trains is the best he's ever had ! Shouldn't be too surprised, though, as it's just a business for stud fees really .
O'Brien is a great trainer, but he has never trained a great horse on the flat. I don't follow National Hunt racing so I wouldn't know much about Istabraq.
Extra helpings of humble pie tonight.

Last year moore could not pull up the horse this year the horse pulled up him up comedy

Before the half way mark be began to labour as the jockey in yellow came up to share the lead .
Then City of Troy began to go backwards .

He was last in and first out. He didn't have time to get upset. Bs of an excuse Mr o'Brien.
Yeah, implausible City of Troy got upset in the stalls, even if he did, surely this raises questions about his temperament going forward.

Punters coned out hard earned again.
I noticed in the racing post write up concerning City of Troy an O 'Brian representative comments, basically telling everyone it needed the run 🤣
Notable Speech..... Derby contender, was running on at the end, good traveller
They think of him as purely a miler, and Buick said will be kept at a mile.
A miler .
Sire is Dubawi and mother is by Invincible Spirit. Definitely not a Derby horse.
looked at his pedigree.....no 12f horses in it and mainly speed
If Notable Speech runs in the Derby then I'm a Dutch man.
City of Troy ran a bit wooden
Awful coverage. Pre race when they talk of No 5 the camera is showing No 1. And after the race when the camera shud be on the horse, they were chatting inanely with someone. Awful.

message to Messrs Magnier et all. War Front (RIP) , No Nay Never, Justify do not good 3 yr olds make. Good winner though.
Bit early to judge Justify, but I think you're correct.
I must say I thought the comparison made with Frankel after the dewhurst was quite laughable! I always thought last year's 2yo crop was as poor as I can remember in my 65yrs of watching racing. And while I accept that city of troy looked far better than any other horse I feel he only beat rather poor horses to gain his title of best 2yo. But to say he was one of the best we have seen was way off the mark.
Good post, agree completely. I do wish Coolmore´s PR department would quit the constant hype of every animal that impresses, as soon as it looks like it could have a future at stud. Suddenly it´s ´the best´, or ´the fastest´, or the ´toughest´ we´ve ever had. Would you buy a used car from AoB?
But there is no sense in what you are claiming. As River Tiber won a Royal Ascot. Goes to France gets beaten. Just to show you France has good form
Rosalilion wins in France with Unquestionable 2nd. Unquestionable wins the Breeders cup. Obviously Rosallion 2nd yesterday. Big Evs won the Breeders cup.
The Godolphin horses are obviously decent. Fair enough Cot had a terrible race. There is lots of great colts in GB/ire
Farcical no bet but not a bit surprised
Can y'all stop going on about Frankels bang average performance, he ran like a 5f horse then almost got collared bu nobodies who never won another race between them. His time was average on decent ground. He was visually impressive because of his bursting style but bang average times, couldnt beat Nathaniel nor Cirrus more then a length, he was a very good horse but nothing more, he beat the worst crop of milers i can remember in 45 years. Zafonic.....now THERES A HORSE! Shame he burst a blood vessel in the soft.
Troy's lost today, and 2 other Justify, namely Hard to Justify and Justify FYI also lost their races last night in US, make me think whether Justify is a stallion making for "classics"?
What an Eeejut for not running his best horse in Henry Longfellow ... who'll now go amd win a valueless race in the french guineas. I said before the race City of Troy is the 2024 Arazi, he's small and bred to not train on....
Since when has the French Guineas been a valueless race? Mr. O'Brien ran City Of Troy because that's what they believed is their best horse, and how exactly is he bred not to train on?
