    I forgot to mention something I feel is very important in my opinion. I ride with padded riding shorts (Chamois) and would not ride without them lol. But seriously if you are struggling with saddle comfort and have not tried padded shorts you owe to yourself to do so.
    Thanks for pointing out this omission Marco!

    Hi Dean! I kept my C15 carved and will give it a try on our first adventure. Since I ride with drop bars, I imagine that it should do just fine. Always nice to watch your videos and listen to your comments. Talk soon!

      Hi Jaque! Yes I think the C15 is the right saddle for drop bars. Not long now until the Niagara Tour happens! Talk soon. Cheers

    Hey Dean, a nice video. I have a C17 that I inherited when I bought my Surly ECR and it is one of the most uncomfortable saddles I've ever used. it all comes down to personal preference with saddles though as I'm sure you will agree. On my road bike, I use a narrower Fizik Aliante, which is just fine when I put down more power. Still sticking with Selle SMP TRKs and my touring bikes. Take care. JP

      Thanks JP. Yes I agree saddles are the hardest piece of gear to give advice on. We are all built so differently. Like I mentioned in the description I think saddle reviews are so people can get some info on a particular saddle while trying to find the one that is right for them. I hope all is well my friend. :)

    I have a road bike but ride in a more upright, relaxed position. I wonder if this is a better fit for my riding style. Thanks!

      It may be but it's really hard to say without knowing all the facts. But which one is right for you will largely depend on the width of your sit bones. There is even wider Brooks Cambium saddles if needed. Thanks for watching! Cheers

    Thanks Dean for an another excellent video. I know this is a saddle review but I couldn't help notice the Ortlieb frame bag what size do you have? I just bought a Medium sized Trek 1120 and looking to purchase some bags etc for the bike.

      Hi Dennis. The Frame bag is the 4L version. It is a good bag and very durable. I will be getting a new custom made frame bag soon from Rogue Panda. The bag is made to fit the 1120 so no wasted space. Here is the link if you want to check them out. Cheers

    Tried the C15, after trying many others, but it won't do it for me. It's ok for around 2h, but 5-7h days are misery. Went to a cheap BBB saddle and I am fine. Chose the saddle that fits, not the one that looks cool. And expensive is not always better.

    • @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures
      @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Saddles are a very personal choice. My decision to use Brooks has nothing to do with looking cool or having to buy the most expensive gear. The Brooks saddle is what works for me.

      @wetl2628 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures fair enough. It was a general statement rather than directed to you. I made the comment because the brooks saddles are quite popular with the 'hipsters' and I assume they buy it for looks and not function (maybe I did this). Wich is fine when doing trips to the pub. A coworker is doing Paris-brest-paris this summer on a brooks c13 saddle so they fit some perfectly, but so far he has only done the 200km, 300km, 400km and 600km audaxes. Maybe when he does the 1200 PBP, he will change his mind🤣

      @@wetl2628 I did a ride across Canada with the C15 and loved it. But I will say the Brooks saddles with the center cut out (carved) are much more comfortable than the standard Brooks saddle. Safe riding. Cheers

    Hi Dean! Which saddle would you recommend for a riverside 920 touring (so with a drop bar) but considering a seat bone width of around 145 mm?

      @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Davis. Thanks for watching! I can't say for sure of course but if I had to make a recommendation I would say the C17 carved might be the way to go. I just finished a 10 day tour with no rest days and I was very impressed with the comfort of my C17. Let me know how you make out. Cheers

    They have different textures? Why? My Brooks C17 destroyed my jeans in 2 months, so i want to know if they changed texture in later iterations?

    • @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures
      @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Hi. Brooks saddles come in leather B17 and Vulcanized rubber C series. And I agree with the most recent comment, I have never noticed anymore wear on my riding shorts or rain pants than any of my previous saddles.
      I can see however how jeans might wear faster as it is not a ideal material for riding.
      Thanks for watching. Cheers 🍻

    Does the carved seat make it easier on the muscle that men's have between the balls and the 'a hole',on my seat i have too much pressure and i get sore easily? I looking to buy a brook saddle but its hard when you cant tray them, its expensive if you make a mistake.

    • @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures
      @WanderingEyeOutdoorAdventures  11 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      That area is called the Perineum and yes that is exactly what the carved seat is designed to do. I love my saddle but saddle comfort is very personal and different for everyone so no guarantees that you will have the same experience. Having said that Brooks saddles are known for comfort. Cheers
